I really like your method of threading the needle. [And of course] everything else that you explained. Thank you so much. May Abba Father bless you, your family, and your ministry. Especially in these [crazy] days that we are living in.
I love this video so much, I excitedly showed it to my partner. I'm a disabled veteran with mixed connective tissue disorder and I've lost the ability to do many crafts due to lost of sensation and the weakening of my joints. I have heard of punch-needle embroidery before, but I never liked the loopy texture; what you've done here is remedy that for me, thereby making embroidery accessible for me. I could even go back after I finish a section and reinforce the loops in the back like a bobbin thread would on a sewing machine. Thank you, so very much, for reignighting my excitement for making beautiful things by hand.
This video has been very helpful, I am just beggining to learn and practice punch needle. Thank you so much and PLEASE post more tutorial videos and also with your works! :)
THANK YOU for showing this with such good explanations to accompany it!....I LOVE this, and always wondered how to do it!...now I think I could use this hand in hand with my quilting. I could outline my quilting appliqués using this, rather than hand embroidery or machine! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Just getting into this craft and found this video. An excellently done how-to video :) The explanations are clear, they take their time when showing how its done :) Excellent work and thank you :)
Well, as you said in the beginning, you like the back. The loop side is usually the front of the project. Usually when someone finishes they will cut the yard or floss close, pull it through to the front and make sure it is the same length as the loops and therefore not noticeable. If making a rug, the back (or flat side) will have a "non skid" solution put on it. The loops on the front can also be cut to give a "shag" appearance.
This has been so helpful Thankyou! Best one I’ve looked at so far. I’m new to all this and looking into getting a punch needle, could you please leave a link in the description box or here of the exact type you have please? I’m sure it would be very helpful to others aswell :) Again Thankyou very much!!
🤔🙏👌🌷😍💯Amazing vidio. TX for sharing. Yes I bought the blue and white needle. All that is availebal here so far its moving but works maybe IL super glue the part😅🤣anywa best wishes from SOUTH AFRICA. 🙏🙋♀️🍀🌷
Great video, great explanations. During the video, were you showing what you consider the “right side”, or do you consider the loops the right side. I really like seeing the directional stitched shapes.
I was showing the wrong side as I like it best. The right side are the loops. Have you visited my ig @zuzanabird? I have more videos and photos of my work there
I l❤ve this. Thank you for sharing. I have lots of dmc thread. Will definitely try this when I buy the ultra tool. Which side is the front of the work? I, myself like both sides.
I use a punch needle but I turn it over and trim the loop tops of it makes a brilliant finish just remember that if you do lettering do it backwards Sometime use a pva glue on the side thee are calling the front to stop it being rub out hope this is help full
So glad I found this video after various attempts at my punch needle I couldn't do it after watching this video I learnt how to thread the needle and I successfully used my punch needle. 🫶
This was really great because I have never done this and can't wait to try. Should anything be done to the back to keep the loops from unraveling? Thank you for sharing this video.
Not really if you are just doing wall art and displaying the stitches. However if you want to make a cushion then you need to display the loops and glue the stitches on the back. Unless no one ever sits on the chair the cushion is on and the cushion is never touched, then you can display the stitches :D
So your cat can easily undo all your work with his claws !!!!! Is there a way to secure the work? I mean, if you make cushion, it can be undo by inadvertance.
I am afraid if yo are displaying the stitches then you can't wash it. The only way to wash it is by displaying the loops and glueing the stitches to make them secure. As my work is for display only, it doesn't need to be secured
This video is very informative, thank you! Is there anyway you can use this technique on clothing? I would like to try it, but am worried that it will get ruined in the wash.
You could maybe use an iron-on patch on the loop side so that the loops are secured a little bit. I'm thinking of giving it a try anyway. Or a more time-consuming option would be to thread the loops on the back-side and secure it that way.
Nothing, I am afraid. I will stick to my needlestitch. I doubt you can wash it after it is done. If you pull the thread it will get ruinned? I have no idea.
I bought the 55% cotton and 45% linen blend. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my loops keep coming out. I've followed your tip and I am not pulling the needle out too much and just grazing the fabric, but it still comes out. I really want to start punch needle embroidery but getting so discouraged. What am I doing wrong? :(
You really need to pay attention to your embroidery hoop as well. The fabric must be really tight in it , like a drum. Also it does matter the thickness of your floss and your fabric .
Can someone please explain changing the needle? I know it sounds so simple but, when I received mine the needle that was in it was stuck and I was not sure I was not going to break it.
Hi there, punch needle is ordinarily done with the loops as the right side in which case you’d glue the stiches so it’s all secure. I prefer the stitches and as it’s all or display purposes only it doesn’t matter if it’s secure or not
Hi hun I stopped by to visit you're Lovely channel. I hit all the buttons and bell I hope you do too Tyfs ❤ I'm soooo Looking forward to seeing more videos!! Have a wonderful day much love to you 🥰
I’ve never experimented with velvet so can’t help but the fabric needs to have some stretch to it to hold the stiches in so I wouldn’t think velvet would work. Worth a try though
Get a real needle. CTR is the best. No Slip hoops by Morgan allow you to stretch fabric tight. You’re doing Bunka n not Punchneedle. True Punchneedle is the loops that form on the other side. Everything has to be worked in reverse.

Thank you for your service! I'm glad you found this beautiful craft. I'm just getting started myself!
Blue's Neighborhood You could also use the iron on interfacing to cover the back .
God bless you! Thank you for your service!

Love the punch needle work ‼️ How do you prevent the loops from being pulled out even with a slight snag? HELP
Thank you so much for this information much appreciated
Best instructions I could find
Awesome work💝🙏
There is no wrong side. I learned that the loop side is considered the front of the project, but of course, it can be personal preference too.
Love the video. I couldn't hear a thing with speakers all the way up. Wonder if any others had a problem?
Thank you very much for your tips.
Very nice...good teacher...
Great tutorial, thanks
Thanks for explaining. Your video was a big help for me 😊
Nice video🙏🇮🇳

Love this!!
Can you use punch embroidery to make a design on a felted purse?
This was really great because I have never done this and can't wait to try. Should anything be done to the back to keep the loops from unraveling? Thank you for sharing this video.

It really hurt me to watch you unravel that beautiful triangle :'(
Awesome, thank you so much
What number do you place the needle for this thread? Please and thank you
Absolutely helpful clip
Maam when u pull the thread out its very easily came out how to stop that .is this possible or not bez i wanna embroidery on cloths
In this case you need to display the loop and glue the stitches on the back
@@zuzanabird1558 thanks bro
Great video! may i ask which size needle you used for this? the S, M or L. I cant seem to be able to tell which one is best!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial!
Good explanation I’m just a beginner
So your cat can easily undo all your work with his claws !!!!!
Is there a way to secure the work?
I mean, if you make cushion, it can be undo by inadvertance.
Use a fabric glue to secure the threads.
Please and what about the washing, would be the stitch fixed also?
I am afraid if yo are displaying the stitches then you can't wash it. The only way to wash it is by displaying the loops and glueing the stitches to make them secure. As my work is for display only, it doesn't need to be secured
This video is very informative, thank you! Is there anyway you can use this technique on clothing? I would like to try it, but am worried that it will get ruined in the wash.
Yes, because it is not fixed on the other side of the fabric
You could maybe use an iron-on patch on the loop side so that the loops are secured a little bit. I'm thinking of giving it a try anyway. Or a more time-consuming option would be to thread the loops on the back-side and secure it that way.
How do you stop it from coming apart at the beginning and the end of your work
Hi! Love this method, but how could I fix in the back side and be sure it won't be hooked out?
Yanina Shevchuk - You can put some glue on to hold the stitches in place, Zuzana commentted below
It looks like you used all 6 threads from the floss. Is that correct? Can you use less?
Is there any way to keep it from coming out with a small pull of thread?
If you use loops as the right side then you can glue the stitches and it’ll be secure
Very good video.
I'm very curious on the fabric for punch needling. Is this fabric just a simple cotton-linen blend and works similar to weavers cloth?
Wonderful tutorial...Thank you!
What keeps stitches in when done
Nothing, I am afraid. I will stick to my needlestitch. I doubt you can wash it after it is done. If you pull the thread it will get ruinned? I have no idea.
Some people glue the back side to keep it stitcged🤔
I bought the 55% cotton and 45% linen blend. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my loops keep coming out. I've followed your tip and I am not pulling the needle out too much and just grazing the fabric, but it still comes out. I really want to start punch needle embroidery but getting so discouraged. What am I doing wrong? :(
Did you work out what you were ding wrong?
You really need to pay attention to your embroidery hoop as well. The fabric must be really tight in it , like a drum. Also it does matter the thickness of your floss and your fabric .
Excellent tutorial, thank you!
Awesome work🙏🙏♥
ordered an Easy Punch Needle Embroidery Set × 1, but the * pencil * is not included. How and where to order, mia name, cod number?
what is the right side of the design
You can use either side, loops or stitches but the loops are meant to be the right side
I love the art in Kenya have just improvised the punch needle ...have created channel looking forward for you to check on my progress...
That was very interesting. Thank you.
Can someone please explain changing the needle? I know it sounds so simple but, when I received mine the needle that was in it was stuck and I was not sure I was not going to break it.
Do you have the same needle? You twist the needle tip and swap it for a different size
a small pull and wont everything be out???? how's this safe
Hi there, punch needle is ordinarily done with the loops as the right side in which case you’d glue the stiches so it’s all secure. I prefer the stitches and as it’s all or display purposes only it doesn’t matter if it’s secure or not
How many strands of thread are you using?
Hi Joni, 6 strands

I just bought one from theoldtatteredflag they also have it on amazon. Ultra punch needle
@@valeriewhite3986 Thank you! I also got it there, there were none on Amazon when I was looking! 😊
🌸💐🏵Excellent explanation! I really liked your video! Thks for sharing!
Can I use velvet for this embroidery. I’ve got a curtain which is no longer in use and I want to make a table cloth out of it.
I’ve never experimented with velvet so can’t help but the fabric needs to have some stretch to it to hold the stiches in so I wouldn’t think velvet would work. Worth a try though
Also, you wouldn’t be able to wash it afterwards
Very informative, thank you
What size needle are you using?
This is the Large Ultrapunch
Who else thought she made squid game card
My thread comes off the fabric and I did this all right :(
Which type of fabric . My punch needle not work any fabric.
I would like to know that too!
I explain what fabric it is in the video - cotton linen blend
Get a real needle. CTR is the best. No Slip hoops by Morgan allow you to stretch fabric tight.
You’re doing Bunka n not Punchneedle. True Punchneedle is the loops that form on the other side. Everything has to be worked in reverse.
