- Aventador successor packs 1,015hp hybrid V12 power, aerospace-inspired carbon chassis and ‘spaceship’ looks. Behold Lamborghini’s electrified future.
That’s right, this isn’t some limited-edition car based on the Aventador. Rather, it’s the car that replaces the Aventador at the top of Lamborghini’s supercar pile. Twevle-cylinder power remains, thankfully, along with the assistance of two electric motors up front and one on the gearbox, to provide one of the most powerful cars to come out of Sant’Agata. All-wheel drive power means a 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 217mph. Lamborghini says it’s even worked on the exhaust note to improve the noise - not that it needed much improvement in the first place. But the Revuelto is so much more than a pumped-up Aventador, employing a lighter, more advanced carbon fibre chassis and heavily revised aero for, what the company says, will be the ‘best-in-class dynamic capabilities’. There’s a lot to unpack here, so we sent Cam along to launch to see how Lamborghini’s electrified future is shaping up.

Hi PHers. In the hustle and bustle of the launch event, we've missed out a clip where we talk about the hybrid system. It comprises of three motors (two up front and one bolted to the gearbox), bringing total power up to 1,015hp. That's good for a 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds!
Revuelto in spanish means "scrambled", which so happens to be the perfect word to describe the styling of this thing. Looks like a dumb jack o' lantern from the front, and that zig zag body side is horrific. The rear is cool but the rest of the car is insulting. I really wanted to like it but man what a letdown.
PS Im almost certain the windshield and the windows are carry over from the aventador.

Front looks like C8 Corvette.
And honestly the sides, too. Although I’m sure C8 owners will enjoy the change of pace being mistaken for a Lamborghini that borrowed its styling vs a Ferrari that it borrowed style from.

Orders are sold out for the first two years where are people getting all this money. It's a little sad for the average person will never be able to experience having a car like this.

Think it's important to point out that this is, in essence, a "base" model, hence why they went fairly conservative on the design/styling. The future iterations of this car will expand and evolve the design of the Revuelto, like the SV, SVJ variants etc...as the premier model of a non-limited production series, I think it looks fantastic and offers plenty of possibilities for this model line-up for the future 👍
i'm confused i don't know if its beautiful or ugly, the rear is definitely gorgeous and the front is just ok but the side especially that huge vents is ugly the overall stance when i'm looking it it's not appealing maybe because where they place the wheels or the appearance of the rims are not fit on the design.
As the new name is Revuelto the new design does look a bit scrambled the car is ultra fast on the track.

Revuelto still has Aventador feels to it and also some Centenario.
When will Lamborghini come up with a new design? Look at the difference between the Miura and the Countach, thats what i mean.

Nothing like as revolutionary design as when the Aventador came out. Probably because it just looks like a revision/toned down version of its predecessor. But still, Lambo is to be saluted for still persevering with it's v12 in the face of environmental regulation overreach. But as I've been saying for years, there's no way the ICE will end any time soon.

Why black wheels Lamborghini, why? Very hard to see the detail. A silver or anthracite finish would have done so much to make them pop.

There's always a slightly undermining comment about everything this guy said about the Revuelto, I suppose since it's not a british car, it can't be appreciated.
I suggest a revision on the whole McLaren range for a masterclass in laziness in design and technology.
My dude, think I made it pretty clear that I’m very happy to see the V12 is back and better than ever by the sound of it. The way it looks is subjective and I made that petty clear, too. I don’t think it’s as dramatic a change as the Aventador, but it’s a clean and cohesive look. And only liking cars from my home country would be very short sighted, because not only would that be immensely unprofessional - the UK doesn’t have many carmakers left! 😉
Things I like:
- It looks pretty.
- It has a combustion engine.
- It has twelve cylinders.
- The performance figures are nice.
Things I don't like:
- It has electric motors in it, which taints the engine sound.
- It uses electric hybrid technology instead of the cheaper, less pollutive, and overall much better compressed air hybrid technology.
- Batteries are more pollutive than gasoline will ever be capable of.
- Regardless of PR statements, everybody knows the real reason they're putting in electric motors is because they want to appease the environmentalists.
- This was a missed opportunity to have and engine that utilizes natural gas (methane), algae oil, or any other viable replacement to petroleum gasoline.
1 electric motors only affect the drivetrain so idk how its affecting the sound. Mabey a high-pitched whine from the motors but beyondbyhat electric motors don't make engine noise worse....
And the interior is way too busy, no car needs 13 driving modes that sounds like a nightmare to navigate through all that.
and 1780kg... also I think the modern Countach they launched a year ago looks way better than this

As a Lambo fan I'm gonna ask you why people are haters if they just said truth.
Listen, based on the visuals: This car is only original from the back end. It has exposed engine, VERY cool, exhaust high, also dope.
BUT!... Everything else is borrowed from others. Lambo Sion headlights, C8 side vents, entire body slightly complicated from Aventador. Do you realize that this car will represent Lamborghini in next 10 years or more!?
As for performance: Nobody is gonna doubt that it's gonna smoke older Aventador.
But thing to worry is that Ferrari SF90 which is already a couple years in production, is faster from 0 to 200km/h( 120mph) than this!?
It be cool to turn it on and it will be pretty funny. how about not having a 14 year old do the videos ?
