I'm recently a fan of Crom Dubh, Ball station. Material trader, ship yard, a somewhat ok module inventory and there are like 4-5 ringed gas giants around, so that means lots of resource extraction sites for messing around with bounty hunting. I also believe it is high population and will sometimes spawn HGE. Not to mention the area is surrounded by imperial space controlled systems, so that means lots of Imperial shielding to farm, and hop right back to trade it.

I was looking for a way to make some "fast cash" and started participating in the CGs based out of this station to build the "Colonia Connection Highway." At the time I only had one ship, and I was using it to run cargo for the CG for about a month - there were three back-to-back CGs that ran concurrently - so I just set up shop there after they were over. There were some trade routes with the nearby stations, and it was easier to "board flip" until I had a full hold going to 1-2 destinations and then complete the loop. BONUS: they're agricultural, so I could always load up on biowaste for cheap somewhere and sell it back "home" for huge profit. This was all before I paid attention to powerplay, so imagine my surprise when I found out that the home station I'd just moved out of was a major powerplay seat.

Agree, just discovered this gem few days ago when looking for CZs at inara! I was pretty surprised it is not popular enough since it is so close to the SD. What is even more important (and crucial for me at the moment) it is just 3LY away from LP 908-11 where you would find So-yeon City with L-pad, material trader and what is the most important: source of massacre missions to be stacked and executed in LHS 317! So the combat zones in LHS 317 are OK (you need to pick up missions rather in that system) but bounties are better paid than combat vouchers and are much more relaxing e.g. in RES High rather than fighting against engineered ships in CZs. With the recent changes to combat pay, OHM City has been alive with activity. Bounty hunters everywhere. Many opportunities to wing up, or get ganked. Depends on how ya look at it. xD
Went to a fleet carrier and they have 41 low temp diamonds... For 5000cr each... Bought them all up,. Flew to the highest paying import and sold each for 419,000cr. A smooth 17.1 mill in 10 min.

My personal home system is 109 Piscium at the moment. It's in LYR's space, so, discount... Has a pretty good selection of ships/modules.. And there's a HAZ site in system, with the mission board almost always holding wing missions to massacare for 15-25mil a throw..... AND there's a Double Painite hotspot relatively nearby too if I decide I want to listen to a couple podcasts for a while.
I settled in Hazel Port in LTT15574 because it is fairly close to a combat low, high and haz res and it was the first place I set my nearly out of fuel highly damaged Sidewinder down and thought, holy fuck this game is hard.
Magnus gateway for me, close to the starter zone so friends can get to me easily and pretty well stocked. Material trader in station, guardian and interstellar in neighbouring system
For some reason i chose Lamark Orbital in Nanabozho as my home due to it being close to the starting area and has most ships and modules. Its also really close to some hazres zones for bounty hunting which is neat.
Originally yeah I did set up in Jameson after hitting Elite, but recently I've actually moved in to a planetary port that I found was on the unique side if things. I may move again down the road but everything is really close, and if I need to pick stuff up, Shinrarta Dezhra is laughably close for a minmaxed Exploraconda that can essentially ferry nonessential modules.
Huh, my home base was also Cook station! I only moved it after I joined a Squadron that was stationed out of Zaragas, so now I'm based out of Jenner Hub there.
You guys should check out Neville Horizons in Kaushpoos, it’s where my friends and I headquartered and are going to try to raise the home power Wolfram Security to an actual faction eventually
My favourite is actually Lukyanenko Vision in LTT 7421. I mainly do bounty-hunting with my Corvette, hazardous site is around +700* Ls (I don't mind it). My reason is that extra cash from bounties thanks to Yuri's buff, and Class DA star that I see every time I go back from some exploration/enginnering stuff. Also I can find good ammount of T4 minerals on local planents.
LHS 317 doesn't have a bounty buff, but if you're into bounty hunting for material collection it's pretty great Station is only 500ls from the star and 0.5ls from a belt with every type of resource site, and has a manufactured goods trader
LHS 317 is pretty great as well. Basically my home away from home 1) Only something like 10LY from Jameson's endless supplies & discounts 2) Not nearly as crowded, so you're less likely to get turbo-ganked every 12 seconds 3) Manufactured materials trader in-station, with a raw, encoded and human tech trader each about 20LY away 4) Less than 0.5ls from multiple resource sites, if you're into bounty hunting 5) Relatively centered among engineers, so you're rarely having to go more than 200LY 6) Only 500ls from the star, so flying there isn't terribly obnoxious
Firsoff Orbital, HIP 8758! Found my Clipper there, grinded out the ranks with delivery missions from HIP 8444 (only 1 base there, absolutely everything ships to 8758 to Firsoff), just hit 400mil and a python :D Also close to a ringed planet with a few platinum hotspots, basically has all I need for now
Recently got the game for the 3rd time....only to find out they were no longer developing for consoles. Just went to this system, apart from the long travel times its a gold mine! Thanks
Jameson Memorial FTW. I have my 3 Corvettes there, Miner, Trader, and Combat. Only 300ls from the star, so in and out in a flash. And only like 160ly from the best platinum mining spot too. Great Station.
Roed Odegaard Port in Brestla has nearly everything I need right now. I'm still relatively new but I just bought a Python and Roed has the best inventory I can find at the moment.
Right now im in the Edin system. It's quiet and while its not teeming with resources areas and combat areas or anything like that its a safe system and surrounded by systems with areas like i described. Its perfect especially once youre edin and making your way back to Starport. No worries about interdiction.
robigo-hauser's reach was my home for a long time cause passenger missions are the only thing i know how to do. now that i hit elite rank in exploration i'm gonna move to jameson and kit out a mining rig and combat ship with my 2.5b i accrued from passenger mishs. then i'll be doing engineers and finally saving for a fleet carrier. wee
I live primarily in Colonia and I actually use Giles station in Deriso over Jaques, simply because it is much less busy, looks way cooler, and it has a haz res just a quick hop in supercruise away. And if you need a module or ship Jaques is only one or two jumps away
i used ising dock in 109 piscium. has a mat trader, with two other mat traders 30ly out, lee yong station so 10% discount, good selection of modules and what not. used it until i got shinny, still have some ships stored there and drop by every now and again though.
I find myself always looking at Azeban City in Eranin. I get nostalgic sometimes and that was the starting spot back in Beta round 2. Other than that history, there's nothing remarkable about it.
Planned my home base around: close to nav, station orbits a gas giant with a high rez zone, mineral moons for materials, and it’s got cheap drinks in the best bar in the system.
One of the best stations that I am currently at is Kepler Gateway in Kruger 60. Reason for this is to build up credits to get new ships, and also to work my way up in Federal Navy rank,. Already have an Asp Explorer.. grinding to get a Python.
My original "home" system back in the day of 2016 maybe was Gertrud. Relatively central bubble located, Fed space, good trade & mission routes, a lot of modules & decent ship selection including all Fed Rank ships. I still have a couple ships out there currently but most of them have been moved to Jameson. Once I have a carrier any of my ships that are "done" are going on it and I'm going out to Colonia for the rest of the engineers. I just did 12.6k ly out and back in the opposite direction last month, that shit took 2 weeks at about 60ly jumps... if I'm doing double that distance I'm using an FC.
Torricelli Station in Tibitibi. Raw mat trader, multiple res extraction sites, painite and void opal hotspots and not too far from the nav beacon. That's where I hang out.
For me a home station is one that has decent assassination missions and delivery items missions(with the recent bounty buff it's even better) also systems that have a main star type A or B because reasons, so right now there's one system that has both things I like and that's uhmm... Nat (and a bunch of numbers) and the station is Gabriel's sanctuary, if I want something more specific like a ship or module I can just eddbio
Hip 493 okolahor station is my home, there is music when u get into the system, there is music always in the space stations, the stations are bright white with lakes and parks, its independent but has some federal missions and is orbiting the same earth like planet as an iconic starport. 9/10 come if you are bored, the npcs are very nice
I live out of Araki Station in Kulici All my mat traders within 50Ly, plenty of combat and various mining opportunities within 1500Ls One of the station nearby built my first ship and I've made it my garage ever since 👌
I ended up making over 5bn in profit from my carrier by buying and selling LTDs back before mining got nuked, while I'm in the minority it does show that you can make money off players who don't want any travel time. A38-2 is still a good source of LTDs for carrier owners, it is a little bit of work and I had to use third-party tools, but it was essentially AFK money. Mining used to be better but there is still plenty of room for profit buying and selling. Big barrier to entry but not impossible to maintain with not much effort if you know what to do, which the majority of people won't.
I have had to drop in on carriers many times for various reasons. Only issue I've had which I've wish was different is wanting to give a few credits, as a sort of tip, to say thanks for being here.
Jones Orbital, Hel for me. Tons of puns, most ships I wanted I could get there, Li system, not any gankers, and if I couldn't find what I needed in Hel, I could hop over to one of 3 near by systems in one jump to find it. Not including Engineers or interstellers but back then I didn't care. Plus it was my older brother's home and I started playing as he was quitting so I was sorta holding down the fort for him for a few years.
Started playing Elite again, and since I enjoy unrewarding experiences, I have decided to make Katzenstein Dock as my home station. 40 minute commute for the win.
No suggestions for bounty hunters? Messerschmidt Orbital in Mazahuanses. If you are aligned with the right power you get a boost to bounties, and there are 2 hazres just 4l's outside a high-tech station.
Mars High. Because after you get all those gov types loving you they never ask what you're up to even just one star over. Also Mars. Also, it was the nicest looking station in the Galaxy for a long time. Maybe still is.
I live in Andhrimi system typically at Big Pappas base just because I love asteroid bases but typically have to fly to the other station for some specific things I need to buy
So here me out I do think your list is right not to include the fleet carriers as in the numbers however maybe as an honorable mention. Here is why I have one but only opened up Resupply/Refuel/Armory making the up keep 9.5 mil. Yes that's 5.185 billon sure but say you go mining platinum an store it on said carrier. You would have 24,070 tons of it. Now selling that at best price at the time of me typing this would be 6,983,814,220 for one full carrier of platinum. The thing pays for it self an you can move it to where you want. I know the steep price turns off some but they are useful an would have my vote. Love you Yamiks don't beat me for my oppinon.
I will still love my carrier, the cost is steep but there is 7+ people who call it home so its kinda worth it especialy as they rent it out time to time.
@@starliner2498 You can transfure money via the carriers trade (Selling an item for 1000% mark up is what people do), however I don't do that, I always have fun with friends or they teach me something new as they use my carrier so thats payment enough. Or my carriers not in use so I just move it to where they want it and play other games/make money in elite etc etc
Ohm City in LHS 2O was my home for a very long while and I highly recommend. Haz res sights very close to the station, LYR space for the discount, and every module or ship you could need is either at Ohm City or just a jump away.
Perry Depot, Epsilon Indi. Why? The moon orbiting New Africa. I like landing on it and watching a solar eclipse happen every 30 seconds. I decided to make it home until I'm bored of the moon. Gonna be there a while. XD (Btw his fleet carrier is in orbit around the moon at 0:45) A nice place is Matthew's City in Groombridge 34, but it's a medium to small supercruise to it from the jump star. They have the Saud Kruger cruise ships and I buy them from there.
my first and current home station is Ashby city in Luyten's Star. I believe i made my home there bcause its close to Sol and alot of other places, but also because it had alot of stuff to in that system for a starter.
Jefferey's port ugrivirii system. It orbits a couple of rescources extration zones me and some friends use to kill bandits and get that sweet bounty pay
Still hanging around Ray Gateaway cause i haven't unlocked James Memorial, i don't know what other stations have better selection of modules-ships and a trader, and still offering a decent all-around discount on ships and modules
Took me a month to unlock access to Shinrata, that was 4 years ago, and I've been there ever since. During the past 4 years I've obtained the five ships, fully engineered and loaded out for their sole purposes. Having more than 10 billion in credits, I've no use for more. Thus I moved all my ships to Colonia which has become my new home. I've nothing left to buy.

Bohr Gateway in Mehuenumici is great for modules, they have everything module wise except bulkheads, a data material trader and tech broker. Also my friend made the trek to Hutton just on a whim to check it out and bitched later about it and how much it sucked. We seriously hadn't even heard about the free anaconda yet.
Actually Yamiks, despite your dated advice about Fleet Carriers.... Fleet Carriers are number 1. Money isn't actually a problem, I earned enough (9 billion) to buy and equip a Fleet Carrier in a weekend. Another weekend and I had enough credits for 10 years maintenance...

Yeah no its a funny joke tho... i love how no one ever mentions the incredible missions they have there. Like seriously? 5 mil a courier mission?
@@oliverflor6321 at which station?
My favourite is actually Lukyanenko Vision in LTT 7421. I mainly do bounty-hunting with my Corvette, hazardous site is around +700* Ls (I don't mind it).
My reason is that extra cash from bounties thanks to Yuri's buff, and Class DA star that I see every time I go back from some exploration/enginnering stuff. Also I can find good ammount of T4 minerals on local planents.
LHS 317 doesn't have a bounty buff, but if you're into bounty hunting for material collection it's pretty great
Station is only 500ls from the star and 0.5ls from a belt with every type of resource site, and has a manufactured goods trader
@@Werepie welp, having manufactured goods trader is really worth taking in to account.
A fine place I have to admit! :)
LHS 317 is pretty great as well. Basically my home away from home
1) Only something like 10LY from Jameson's endless supplies & discounts
2) Not nearly as crowded, so you're less likely to get turbo-ganked every 12 seconds
3) Manufactured materials trader in-station, with a raw, encoded and human tech trader each about 20LY away
4) Less than 0.5ls from multiple resource sites, if you're into bounty hunting
5) Relatively centered among engineers, so you're rarely having to go more than 200LY
6) Only 500ls from the star, so flying there isn't terribly obnoxious
Foda Port in Lauma, because my daughter picked it and we (my daughter, my wife and me) was all flying in a wing together.
Thanks
@Mark True! The distance adds both pirates but also bonus to mission payouts I believe
@@Syrenite yup loads of bonuses I'll be here for a while 😎
Jameson Memorial FTW.
Your physics jokes are hilarious! 🤣
Early on, I was looking for something. Tuns Wart had it nearby. Due to the proximity to the star and the system location, I’ve used it since.
I just did 12.6k ly out and back in the opposite direction last month, that shit took 2 weeks at about 60ly jumps... if I'm doing double that distance I'm using an FC.
ive gone to hutton orbital 3 times
1st: cuz i wanted to
2nd: cuz i heard of the anaconda
3rd: cuz i thought i missed something when i didn't get it
My home system for 2 years were Eravate
Idk, it just felt like a home at least.
Thank god, that my home station is not in here. You sobs don't know what your missing. AND IT'S ALL MINE MUHAHAHA
Can I know plz
Can I know too?
Hip 493 okolahor station is my home, there is music when u get into the system, there is music always in the space stations, the stations are bright white with lakes and parks, its independent but has some federal missions and is orbiting the same earth like planet as an iconic starport. 9/10 come if you are bored, the npcs are very nice
I live out of Araki Station in Kulici
All my mat traders within 50Ly, plenty of combat and various mining opportunities within 1500Ls
One of the station nearby built my first ship and I've made it my garage ever since 👌
I ended up making over 5bn in profit from my carrier by buying and selling LTDs back before mining got nuked, while I'm in the minority it does show that you can make money off players who don't want any travel time.
@@NelsonIngersoll 15% tariff on your refuel is enough for me, you can always bring tritium to a carrier though, I imagine everyone always wants more.
Magnus gateway in ez aquarii is a good one
Jones Orbital, Hel for me. Tons of puns, most ships I wanted I could get there, Li system, not any gankers, and if I couldn't find what I needed in Hel, I could hop over to one of 3 near by systems in one jump to find it. Not including Engineers or interstellers but back then I didn't care. Plus it was my older brother's home and I started playing as he was quitting so I was sorta holding down the fort for him for a few years.
bit sad about the lack of chewing toy sounds in this one :D love your content
Started playing Elite again, and since I enjoy unrewarding experiences, I have decided to make Katzenstein Dock as my home station. 40 minute commute for the win.
No suggestions for bounty hunters?
Messerschmidt Orbital in Mazahuanses. If you are aligned with the right power you get a boost to bounties, and there are 2 hazres just 4l's outside a high-tech station.
Perfect timing. I needed this.
Mars High. Because after you get all those gov types loving you they never ask what you're up to even just one star over. Also Mars. Also, it was the nicest looking station in the Galaxy for a long time. Maybe still is.
Been there all those places, very interesting stuff.
There's a lack of Bruce Hub, Shitici in this list.
The only thing special about it is the name of the system but who cares, it's amazing!
Jay-Mo has been my home station since I got my first Elite. Exploration. I've found like 16 ELW's.
I will still love my carrier, the cost is steep but there is 7+ people who call it home so its kinda worth it especialy as they rent it out time to time.
rent it? how? can you transfer money somehow?
@@starliner2498 You can transfure money via the carriers trade (Selling an item for 1000% mark up is what people do), however I don't do that, I always have fun with friends or they teach me something new as they use my carrier so thats payment enough.
Or my carriers not in use so I just move it to where they want it and play other games/make money in elite etc etc
Ohm City in LHS 2O was my home for a very long while and I highly recommend. Haz res sights very close to the station, LYR space for the discount, and every module or ship you could need is either at Ohm City or just a jump away.
Got mony for my fleet carrier a long time ago. No way i am buying one. The upkeep is a terrible practice. Makes this game looks like a mobile game
The Jameson discount actually is around 12%
10% +2.5% per elite rank.
@@hs0003 Is it for each rank?
@@roman_romul Pretty sure you have a 20% discount at the station with 4 elite ranks.
you dont get a new discount for each elite rank, you get 2.5% and jameson for the first rank
@@euanab_ed alright, I misremembered then
My home is actually landsteiner mines in Liburodo, but i‘ll move soon
I was around their for a while I was running out of daha deti
Perry Depot, Epsilon Indi.
Why? The moon orbiting New Africa. I like landing on it and watching a solar eclipse happen every 30 seconds. I decided to make it home until I'm bored of the moon. Gonna be there a while. XD (Btw his fleet carrier is in orbit around the moon at 0:45)
A nice place is Matthew's City in Groombridge 34, but it's a medium to small supercruise to it from the jump star. They have the Saud Kruger cruise ships and I buy them from there.
I used Wrangell port, it's close to noobula which is nice
my first and current home station is Ashby city in Luyten's Star. I believe i made my home there bcause its close to Sol and alot of other places, but also because it had alot of stuff to in that system for a starter.
Jefferey's port ugrivirii system. It orbits a couple of rescources extration zones me and some friends use to kill bandits and get that sweet bounty pay
I just did this.. went to Hutton…. Thanks lol
Ising Vision, Neto. 36ls from haz res, and has a decent amount of modules and ships. Not a bad place if you just wanna combat a lot.
Garay has been my home terminal since the start.
Still hanging around Ray Gateaway cause i haven't unlocked James Memorial, i don't know what other stations have better selection of modules-ships and a trader, and still offering a decent all-around discount on ships and modules
Walker Port in Aranka. Not even sure why I went there when I left the beginner bubble. They had a ship & loadout that I wanted at the time.
Wherever i lay my hat, that's my home 😃 .
my homestation is Garays Terminal in Deciat because i like it :D
Took me a month to unlock access to Shinrata, that was 4 years ago, and I've been there ever since. During the past 4 years I've obtained the five ships, fully engineered and loaded out for their sole purposes. Having more than 10 billion in credits, I've no use for more. Thus I moved all my ships to Colonia which has become my new home. I've nothing left to buy.
that's something, so why do you still come back (just curious)
I wish I had time like this......I work to much to play enough like I want to
@@starliner2498 I started playing ED after its lanuch on the PS4 platform. I had been fully retired from any source of employment, thus had a vast amount of hours to invest in a game. Since the launch of the most recent DLC. I've retired from playing ED entirely. And have moved on to RDR2O.
@@winndixie6361 See above reply to "Starliner".
Abetti Vision in Kholu. Has encoded trader, very close to Res sites, and has a wide selection of gear.
He probably just didn't click on the right link after docking...
i accidentally accepted a data courier mission to hutton one day, said fk it and turned on supercruise assist, put a movie on, and ate lunch.
I would also add Jensen Gateway in 64 Ceti and Scully-Power Station in Ix to this list as well.
My home station is my squadron's owner's fleet carrier
My home station is my nexst station :)
I like Ray Gateway.
I went to Hutton oribital with trust and left with sadness and lessons learned
I want "fine, fine, you snarky prick" on a shirt or something.
My home station is Abraham Lincoln in Sol, for RP reasons.
Thanks for the Video!!
before getting elite rank goldstein port lembava - what isnt there is always available in the ising dock 109 piscium next door - both @15% discount - I used to use ray gateway but was a flip of the coin if it was in lockdown or not
Love that they give you a free conda at hutton orbital
Yeah and it's a special one that can fit a sidewinder in, it's great
@@user-bs2vb2sr5w even better! you fly there with your sidewinder and park it in the anaconda when you get it
@@kyzumaki209 yeah it's amazing
SO WORTH THE TRIP!
I dont know why i kust watched a video about home stations while i havent seen a station in months.
