Ok so I'm actually crying. Like, literally. I just wiped away a stray tear. This video... ugh! I don't think there's a word in the English language which demonstrates just how beautiful this is. I cry harder when I realize that the musical has been taken down off UA-cam- no more Eric and Alan. I write fanfictions to numb the pain but Jesus. They are my OTP :'(

I know...it is horrible...I love this musical so much and need to watch it...I need it in my life!
i need to watch it too but i don't have enough tissues or time to. this guts me every time watching it and it so much harder to watch because its not just animations with peoples voices, its actual people acting up on stage. being in the drama clubn before myself, i know how easy it is to assume a character which is why this is so hard for me to not cry over.

Eric is very brave and that’s what he makes of him a very beautiful person, personally I love this character, what he dares to do to save Alan is simply sublime, Alan is also wonderful, I understand why everyone sees them together, or even that he was already in love with each other, (that’s what I think) in any case, the story is beautiful. 🥺❤

Japan makes subtle bls so beautifully. We can clearly see they are in love. But their feelings are not in the face with basic words. Their flowery words and actions are proof of their love. Western countries ppl might feel frustrated like "Why won't they confess with big kiss and I love you?!" This is their confession. Different culture. Different ways to confess. And this is way more beautiful. Subtlety is an art lost on many. They both knew they loved each other but preferred to keep it under wraps till the end. In Mangas too there are various scenarios like this. Especially with shounen-ai. Hannibal we all knew about will and hannibal. Did they ever confess outright? Till the end no. But they had SO MANY ACTIONS and WORDS that clearly indicate they have profound feelings. People with fine taste enjoy subtle yet passionate form of love.

This video is so utterly beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, pretty much just like the musical. From the bits of dialogue you chose to use to the choice of music, I promise you that I was pretty much in tears by the end of it. But please consider that a compliment of the highest order. This is my favorite Eric/Alan video ever. I will accept no substitutions.
i literally don't know how to even put in words how much i love and feel for these two, your video made me cry because their love is so tragic but also so heartfelt T__T they care about each other so much. to quote the line that pretty much shattered my heart, "our shinigami's life is utter darkness and yet somehow, somehow i finally found one fragile ray of light." fantastic job!

The English subtitles, the Japanese voices, the English song in the background...everything is so perfect!!! Great job!!!!!!!!! The fandom definitely needs more AlanEric....!!!!! When I saw the two in the manga I cried so hard... And they were introduced just when the German shinigamis told us readers that Shinigami were actually people who committed suicide, and that those people were bound to live an eternal life with death..... It's so sad, imagining that Alan and Eric both took their lives in their past life and now have to die a painful death once again...

when that chapter of manga was released I was almost finishing this video. It's just good timing that I was able to add that manga piece in the end really...And yes that chapter got me teared up because of the revelation of the becoming of shinigami and it's just too much for me to think about what these two lovebirds had gone through :(

im about half an hour into the musical and just saw alan's first attack. can i just say right now i wish they had portrayed grell better? i feel like her/his character isnt properly represented...but oh my gosh eric and alan deserve so much love. i loved the dance - seeing william dance made my day - and so far it is my favorite. thanks so much to the friend who sent me the link to the musical so i could watch it! i really adore this musical and can't wait to leave a proper reply once i have finished it
Its cause Grell isn't a major character. Just a popular one in the fandom due to the way Grell acts crazy. Grell's main role is comedic relief. How much can a character meant for comedic relief get screen time or manga panels? Grell is often paired with Sebastian by some shippers, but thing is Sebastian has never been interested in Grell. I find it uncomfortable that they pair Grell with someone who is completely uninterested in Grell. Yana already has a pairing for Grell too and ppl are ignoring him. William T Spears. She mentions it that yes, William is Grell pairing. But people went from enemies to lovers with Grell and Sebastian..when Sebastian has like 0 emotions towards Grell.

Let me just say this is beautiful, you have portrayed their story in such a perfect way. it's sad and it's beautiful, I used that word already didn't I? I'm still recovering 😅 But well, this video is simply amazing, I can't believe it took me so long to find it (and I didn't even find it myself). And I just wanted to thank you deeply for making this, there aren't that many pieces of fan art from these two since they're not that known, so thank you for making this beautiful (there it is again) one.

Alan my bby no- I’ve never heard his voice before holy shoot he sounds so young! I feel so bad, honestly Alan and Eric are real cute and will probably live in the afterlife together if they have one, peacefully and happily forever. But I’m actually sobbing, I’ve never seen any of the musical, and as my first taste... Holy crud, this is so powerful...
I just... dunno if clapping my hands because of the great effects there were in the video and the beautiful portrayal of the characters.
I've had them as OTP since... a month or two ago after finishing the anime and founding that there was a musical and "OMG, I gotta watch them all!" (sadly the purpose didn't get completed, bye-bye Kuromyu 3... I guess). The first time I watched the play, I was kind of distracted because of Matsushita Guys that I actually didn't paid attention to the purpose of the musical until "Unmei" was almost finished.
So, a year ago, if not longer, I rewatched the musical and also paid more attention to the characters beyond Matsushita (C'mon, that Seba's not the only one in there!).
Summarizing all of that, your video is the best of them I've watched... and It hasn't been the only one, if I am permissioned to say so.

Can someone please explain to me what actually happened in this video? And is this part of the manga, too? Or is this just a thing in the musical?
Even if this will be a spoiler to me xD I have to know the background story of the video ._.
it just part of the musical but the end of their story was mentioned on the manga. this is going to be long xD
Basically during the musical Ciel and Sebastian investigate a series of murders that happened (they were like 900 deaths or more). And also the shinigamis society had this huge list of people that werent supposed to die and they are investigating this too.
Later you found out that Alan has a sickness called "The Thorns of Death" and basically is one of the few things that can kill a shinigami.
A lot of things happen, but you found out Eric was the one killing all those people because there is a myth that if you collect 1000 souls you can be cured of the Thorns of death. He says that he will try anything to save him. But Alan is angry because he was killing all those souls for his sake, he tells him to stop and they run away together from being shinigamis btw.
but Eric doesnt want to see Alan die, so he keeps killing people and when he is missing only one soul (he tries to kill Ciel) Alan gets in the way to protect him and he cuts him with his deathsythe then Alan dies.
after that he is so broken and asks Sebastian to kill him.
