Girl my blood pressure was going through the roof listening to how that asshole made you angry cry! "I made you cry for your own good" WHAT?! 😤Old mate would've come out to find his tires slashed 😂 I'm so glad you're in a happier job now!

Robin - I walked away from a very stressful and toxic job. Every morning driving to work, I would have a panic attack. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I gave 2 week notice, and left with no replacement job. 2 1/2 months later, I’m still looking. Hopefully to find something soon. You mentioned car dealership - that’s the industry I was in! 😂. Congratulations on your new job!

This sounds like my entire life worth of job experience until the pandemic allowed me to finally find a good work-from-home position. I also have office PTSD and have regular nightmares about a place I worked over 5 years ago. I think if I ever had to go back in-office for a job I would have panic attacks. Solidarity.

Oh my gosh, I can so relate! My first job out of college was a management training program and a major department store. The DM hated me my immediate manager loved me, but the DM was over her and every time my manager would give me praise or a good review, the DM would tear up the evaluation and give me a terrible one. She wants made me bend over and pick up a scrap paper off the floor in front of six mail divisional managers who were visiting from out of state. One of them happened to be her boyfriend. She did it to humiliate me as the new person in front of everyone. That was back in the early 1980s and I still have trauma over it. I had never been so mistreated in my entire life. When you said PTSD I thought to myself, why didn’t I ever think of that?! no wonder I was always so stressed out and tied up and knots when I went to interviews or started new jobs. She really did a number on me.!

It really is amazing at how when you go to an interview, the company will tell you all the great things you will get and it is basically a lie. This has happened to my daughters more than once on an interview where they say one thing and it does not happen. So glad you are happy!

Robin that you so much for sharing you know in our lifetime we often go through periods where everything seems wrong just wrong and we cant seem to climb out of it but you did it girl you got back up and now you are at peace and you can enjoy your life again. They often say (and i find this a hard lesson myself) hard times make us stronger and more determined. So God has sent you on a path to find your own inner peace and Im so grateful you are back and feeling more yourself and of course the year ahead for you with both your kids being married and happy and can I say being a Grandma is the absolute best job in the world. My grandson lives in Pittsburgh and i live in Australia and I miss him every second of every minute of every hour and not to mention my son who is also my best friend. But Im heading to Pittsburgh on the 26th of June and I get to see my son turn 30 and spend the best month with them. So treasure every second with your loved ones and like you say “Always enjoy today”. ❤

Thanks, Robin so much for sharing❤. I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago and love listening to you share😊.
I can totally relate to some of your stress… I’m a registered nurse and started my own foot & nail care business. I worked in Podiatry for 10 years and actually loved it, until the corporate side of Clinic healthcare soured things for me. My mom turned 90 this last year and I’ve been blessed to be able to take her to her appointments now. The problem is… Starting new business is difficult and I’m not quite there yet. So, I am looking for any kind of part-time work and it’s stressing me out.
I am not the best on computers so I don’t know if data entry would be an option for me :/ but I just need some per diem work on the weekends while I try to build my business.

Well first of all congrats on stepping out and being brave. I had my own business for 12 years and it’s a lot of work people don’t realize. Actually try to look at car dealerships. Lot person is a thing on the weekend and it’s low stress. Maybe start there. Or home health care for an agency. And just work weekends. Those places are desperate for qualified people especially on the weekends. Hope this helps
