The command to cast a spell on your opponent's turn is another way to deny the positional battle tactics as you can spend the point to do a teleport like skitterleap to potentially remove the ability to score before they've even moved. Also, us skaven players will have an additional tool in our toolbox to deny BTs with the new three clawsteps as we get a free movement in our opponent's hero phase. So, even if the opponent goes first, we can do something like three clawsteps a unit to the center if they pick that battle tactic, or skitterleap/gnawhole a unit to the flanks such that, to successfully get wholly out of their territory, they have to move within easy counter charge range of that unit.
Yep, plenty of options now which makes the game feel great! Us rats using 3 Clawsteps to deny Seize the Center is definitely going to be our calling card, people will have to adjust pretty quick!
I am certainly telling everybody i play with in the hobby, that there is this awesome guy on youtube that explains things in a very accessible way and is balling out of control smart at the game aswell. Thank you for your content, it is so clean and informative it has helped me a lot during 3rd and I'm sure it'll help me even more in 4th edition. Thank you sincerely
I can't say this enough. Gotta give props to Jordan! He’s bringing in tons of new AoS players. Maybe it's his clear explanations that make the game seem less intimidating, or the supportive environment that helps all players feel confident. Whatever it is, Jordan's passion for AoS is clearly contagious! New players are finding a welcoming community and a love for the game, Thank you Jordan! #AoS #GreatTeacher
Thanks for this short but effective video showing plays and counter-plays. Skaven is in the spotlight for 4.0, wonder how strong they'll be in Skaventide!?! haha
I've started 3rd edition of AoS but wasnt sold on double turn idea since it didnt have really drawbacks. But 4th changes looks amazing, and this channel is such a great source to learn the game! Kudos, keep it coming
Loving these videos! You're making it so much easier and helpful yo play this game and helping become a better player. Please keep up this kind of content!
Love this! Back again with another question. I think I saw in one of the articles that you can't charge with a unit that had been set up this turn. So those storm fiends shouldn't be able to mess up my tactic coming out of deepstrike, correct?
The article said that units that get set up cannot make a Move in the Movement phase; since the Stormfiends would Counter-Charge at the end of the Charge Phase they're good to go for it!
Wait you can fight if you have nothing to fight? Did it always work that way or is that new? Is that different than 40K? I did not think you could do that I thought you had to have something to fight
Even in 3rd, if you had charged and didn't have anyone left (after impact Mortals or another combat clearing them out) you were still eligible to "Fight" and pile-in towards the closest enemy!
Because Grand Strats are going and Battle tactics are easier, Is the new version of the game going to shifting to tactic prevention for army list building?
At 810 like in after a charge don’t even make sense he shouldn’t be able to move 3” forward when the unit was killed how would anyone understand that why reading the rules seems iffy. Also newb question if I have 3 units in fight phase I attack first with one then he gos on the next fight can he pick one of the other units I didn’t attack yet to attack me first? Seems Op
If a unit charged that turn it's eligible to "Fight." The first part of "Fight" is to pile-in, so whether there's a unit there or not, if you charged you get the movement! Combat always goes back and forth unless there are some fight first/last units involved. You'll pick one unit to fight, then he'll pick a unit that's in combat (whether you've fought there or not this turn) and then fight.
Not a fan of the play at 7:40. Sure it may be legal but it doesnt feel right at all. Fighting nothing with the second mini? Piling in to nothing? Nah, I’ll concede that BT before doing that. I mostly play for fun, and even the RTTs I go to are fun, this would be almost considered beardy IMO
This is one of the best channels on youtube for AoS. I'm just getting into the hobby and appreciate all your explainations
Wake up babe new Warpfire video just dropped
Adding at the end, that losing a BT is not the end and also a great way of learning to accomplish them in the future, is the greatest tip of all.

Thank you ! Your simulations with minis really helps to get the full idea of the interactivity we're about to get with the 4th !
Good stuff man, always love to hear the expert takes!
Awesome video! Love the live presentation and my kids love how you guys painted Drycha and Durthu. Keep rocking!

Hopefully we might get a battleplan review like this when we see all of them.
Absolutely!
Nice analysis! Thanks 👍

I'm hoping knight zephyros unlocks vanguard hunters and Palladors in a teleporty regiment for these.
Great tips

What if you do not, complete your tactic your turn? Is it lost then? Or whay happens ?

Bts are clearly not easier than now
Building to deny battle tactics / hold primaries will definitely be the move going forward!
