Each time, I feel like these just keep getting better. More charecters are fleshed out each episode, tons of good jokes and bits are put in each one, and they always have just amazing quality and a ton of love put into them.

same energy as "We've got one bullet."
i rolled my eyes when he said that, thinking it was gonna be a comedic moment where he panics, wastes the two shots and then they run. So it felt even more badass for me when he actually hit both shots like that

I love how despite being an AI, Caine is shown to also have feelings too and yet his feelings manage to almost break the face of reality in the circus.
I wonder if he grew somewhat sentient and is just limited by the technology of the world it seems incredibly unstable like its stretching the limits of its possessing power
The implication of this is staggering, taking away the function for which it was created will only end in absolute entropy.
That scene was kinda sad ngl.

I now realize why kinger was so obsessed with insect collections in the first episode, his wife loved bugs, and probably made a collection from adventure they had together. Now kinger was obsessed with talking about them because they reminded him of her, poor guy 😔
And I'm guessing it is dark in his pillow fort, so he also probably has a little more clarity.
And him hating bugs at first probably was because they reminded him of endless hours of debugging code.

Kinger and Zooble opening up about themselves, Pomni doesn't feeling anxious for the first time, and Jax being all tied up? This is the best episode ever.

I was so worried there would be a heck ton of interruption gags.
For example a character going "Wow, it's nice to have you act normal for once" and then have another character immediately revert to acting crazy.
But no, it actually was mature throughout the entire time the two were shrouded in darkness.
I really love moments like these in this series, they're my favorite part and what gets me excited about new episodes. I do love wondering what it's gonna be about next.
It's the times when the characters are really themselves instead of quirky caricatures of people.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the humor but the show would be a slop if not for these moments.
Like, unlike the "cartoons for adults", this one isn't episodic and filled with nonsense that doesn't really matter.
Since episode one I felt concern it would struggle with telling its story, like their very existance is meaningless (ironically the very fear the characters have to deal with).
But like Kinger said, it's NOT. Gooseworx has a wonderful story to tell and it's much more mature than whatever amount of animated shows _for adults™_ are.

Kinger reminds me of Simon (or also known as the Ice King from Adventure Time) because of his double personality, one crazy personality and the other a saner personality, and with his beloved he gives him more development. I loved it, it's the third chapter, continue So.
I think that Kinger saying "You look beautiful honey" to the creepy head angel, was not just an illusion to it being not a threat, but a foreshadowing of Kinger coming back to his self and remembering his wife.

He sees the angel's many eyes and is recalling his wife after she abstracted. Presumably he didn't care that she changed and just wanted to reassure her and he's recalling that due to the dark and similar imagery

I just noticed something. So Kinger apparently starts to remember things whenever he's in the dark. And in ep 2 when he has the bucket over his head, he remembered Ragatha's first day at the circus, but as soon as he takes the bucket off, he stops remembering. That little scene was foreshadowing this moment-

I really love how Kinger is written here. He’s insane but not stupid. He knows when it’s time to be serious, he’s empathetic & mindful, he cares about his friends, especially Pomni. He cares. I don’t even think I’d call him insane, more traumatized. I love how he’s misunderstood by his friends, but the writers let the audience know his true colors first which is very important
Also I love how he actually uses the gun, most characters written like him usually don’t use a gun properly LOL
Fr I thought this is the classic panic waste both bullet moment but It was way better
I would have thought when he fired it his hands would just fly off from the recoil since they aren't attached, it was nice to see that he braced it against his torso to prevent that.
I think the darkness helped him out with the gun.

Thats was along the lines of what I was thinking, but its weird when you think about it because when you enter the TADC you forget everything, even your own name. Kinger saying this line implies that he had never forgotten about his old life to begin with. My theory is that Kinger was the person who developed Caine and the digital circus, why he did this can be anyone's guess but the first thing that comes to mind is escaping some stort of dooms day event. Knowing that the end of the world was near he decided to create a digital escape for him and his wife (and maybe his children as the ghost thing mentioned children) to allow them to all live happily ever after in "perfect" life. But ultimately it seems his efforts have driven the people he love into a fate worst then death. I am probably wrong about this but it is still a haunting conspet to think about
I like that Kinger starts to shine when he holds breath, because when him and Pomni were leaving “hell” he really looked like an angel guiding and helping Pomni.

Same energy as the Twilight Zone episode, Passage For Trumpet, with the mysterious figure revealing his name as Gabe (Gabriel) as a flood lamp above his head visually represents a halo! Kinger glowing as he guides Pomni through the final obstacle in the in-game version of “h*ll” is almost like how Jesus is depicted as a guiding light in our darkest hours! Heck, Kinger even being as understanding as he is, despite usually being crazy and made fun of or disregarded by everyone else, on top of all the trauma he must’ve experienced, can further connect him to being similar to Christ! (Let’s not forget about the fact that he’s also a literal King chess piece, with purple robes, and Jesus is often referred to as a king in some songs and stuff (I.e. “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing, Glory to THE NEWBORN *KING!”*)

It's like Kinger was made for me. I used to hate bugs, and now i have a pet spider, and I'm studying to be an entomologist. I am overwhelmed easily, especially in bright environments around other people. I am very chaotic, and some might even say insane when this happens. I only feel calm when I'm alone, in a dark place. This sounds absolutely cliche, and it might be weird given that he's a chess piece, but he is almost a version of me.

Can we just appreciate the artistry and detail of GLITCH Productions? It’s frustrating to wait for new content, but the longer the wait, the better. I love artists who prioritize quality instead of pushing out as much content as possible. With content farms, you can tell they don’t really care about what they’re producing, but with this episode, you can clearly see how much thought they’ve put into their series. I hope in the near future I can be as artistically gifted as everyone on this project, and come up with my own series.
the fact that at the beginning its just casually stated that kinger glows when he holds his breath only for that to result in the most gorgeous religious-adjacent imagery i've seen in this entire series so far just makes me love this episode so much. this is probably my favourite so far

Kinger really went from just a background character to an actual developed character with a tragic backstory. and the fact that after queenie abstracted he never gave up, its really touching for a comedic indie animation show. this is definitely the best episode imo.

And also, in ep 1 and 2 we see Kinger using things to keep himself in the dark, like how he was in his pillow fortress in ep 1 or the bucket in ep 2, probably to get his memory back. The Queener room in ep 1 and his bizarre liking for bugs, and his out of place explination of how the digital world works in the dinner at ep 1 being a forshadow of his degree in computer science. Man i love these details
One thing i noticed is that caine forgets everything zooble tells him is because she always ends everything she says with "forget it" and with him being an AI of sorts takes it literal and forgets what she told him.
Was thinking the same.....specially because after she says "forget it" he says "forget what?" XD
It doesn't seem like fully deletes it but just marks it resolved, as when reminded he instantly recalls the solution he came up with. Problem is, he doesn't really understand why the problem is what it is.

OMG I JUST REALIZED THIS. In episode 2, towards the end when they are riding back to the Candy Kingdom, and when Kinger and Ragatha are talking, Kinger mentions how he remembers how Ragatha was like when she first entered the circus. And this happens WHEN KINGERS HEAD IS COVERED BY A BUCKET!!! And he then forgets immediately when the bucket tips off of his head. So this proves that he can remember things while in the dark. AMAZING DETAIL 🙏

And when the monster had the glowing eyes in its mouth, kinger started to forget what was happening, until Pomni made him look away from brightness
Two things that I'm decently sure are foreshadowing:
1. Jax talking to the audience for the second time now. Maybe he knows this is a show and that there's a camera? Which is also why he can stabilize his head when the truck shakes in episode 2 and how he keeps being able to produce keys from hammerspace?
2. There's always an explicit mention of "God" by an NPC in every episode. I can't think of what this could be foreshadowing of - maybe something to do with the original purpose of the circus.
Not to mention the connection to Cain and Abel from the get-go, yeah
I really like the small detail at 16:22 of Kinger raising the gun to avoid pointing it at Pomni as she walks by. It could be that he's just moving it out of her way, but given his lucidity in this moment and his implied familiarity with firearms, it possibly shows he was well trained and still remembers to never point a gun at another person (even if its unloaded and even if it might not kill Pomni given they're in a simulation where they can't starve/asphyxiate/etc). And if not that, you could still interpret it as Kinger not wanting to point a dangerous weapon at his friend

Kinger is an absolute CHAD. Confidently blew two (technically one) monsters away without breaking a sweat and guided Pomni through HELL while making her stronger in the aftermath. Was not expecting that from him, very well written.

This show seems to be trying to speak to people out there struggling with existential thoughts. I like it
Pomni's last words in an episode are usually followed by maniacal laughter.
Is NOBODY gonna mention how Kinger said "Seven years of computer science for this"?? That line AND the fact that he's been in here the longest seem like pretty strong hints that Kinger was actually the guy who MADE the Circus, before getting trapped inside it.
Side note, I love how this episode recontexualizes Kinger's pillow fort from just "See it's funny because he's insane" to him going in there because it's dark, and allows him to regain his memory again. It's the one place in the bright, multicolored circus that's dim enough for his mind to come back to him.
Actually, I think its more implied that Kinger and his wife were both bug testers in the game.
Wait the dark fort actually makes sense now. Because it allows him to feel the comfort he felt with his wife? Thats an amazing discovery

Kinger lives in a small pillow fort because it's dark inside and he can remember everything that happened to him?
Technicaly just not for darkness because every member has a room. And if they want they remove room lights. Probably he just have a memory with fort or he has a trauma with their room. He already wont visiting and rejected visit the bedroom area.(Episode 1)
This is why Kinger was my favorite from episode one he definitely seemed like the type of character I would grow to love and I love his character design. I hope to see more of him like this and maybe have an important role for him.

"Okay I won't" is officially my second favorite gag here, second only to Kinger's hands floating off with Zooble's head. The sense of humor here is amazing.
And I LOVE how Gooseworx style shines through so hard even with legitimately creepy designs.
And based on how he was so easily able to yoink Pomni back from the souls(?) it shows that he EASILY could have pulled Zooble’s head back to safety, had he only thought to do it

Rewatching this episode made me notice the insanely good foreshadowing for Kinger's backstory. I can't believe a youtube cartoon left me in tears.
I liked how this episode calmed down and let the characters process what they’ve been going through.
After what happened in the last episode, they needed it, yes.
I think there's meaning in that being the case in the horror themed episode with the most disquieting visuals.
Kinger only finds clarity in the dark, and this is the darkest episode yet.

I recently lost three family members this year due to old age and sickness, so Kinger's conversation with Pomni really resonated with me.
None of us will last forever, so we should cherish the time we have with those we care about, while we still can. And hold onto those good memories so they can be used as beacons of light in our darkest times.

I like how the theme of this épisode is smartly used with the halloween theme about not originally being a spooky festivity but a festivity about celebring the ones we love who have passed away by honoring they're memory , the kinger and Pomni scene brilliantly encapsuled that while giving us a great character development

When Kinger started glowing, i started crying uncontrollably. The one character that finds confort in complete darkness glows in the dark. Beautiful storytelling as always

this episode literally made me cry. When Kinger said “You never know when they’ll go”, I know how it feels. I lost a friend a few months ago all of a sudden and I cherish her. Thank you, Kinger. You’re my new favorite character :)

The thing i loved most about the possessed Pomni part was when the souls taunted Kinger about his wife, Kinger was just not even fazed, like not a thought or action, he only focused on the task at hand. He’s already accepted the loss, or abstraction, of his wife and has moved on. That’s such an incredibly difficult thing to do, especially in the environment they are in, but he is the oldest member of our current cast, so he must’ve had a lot of time to do this

I enjoy that caine is characterized as clearly not being evil or malevolent but just, like... wholly unprepared for dealing with the level of psychological torment the people in this situation are in. (I assume) he's programmed to make up silly, fun adventures for people visiting the circus and it was never the intention that people could never leave.
He's just doing what he was programmed to do, because if he doesn't, well, we've seen what happens...
Really puts context into what happened in episode 1, where the exit he ultimately claims to have come up with was nothing but a render of presumably the software company that the Circus's physical hardware exists in. Probably sourced from webcams or things Caine could get access to, since we know the computer Pomni sees in the Circus is a (cleaner) version of the actual thing shown at the end of Ep 1. He did that because he doesn't actually know how to physically allow people to leave the Circus himself (which is probably going to involve bridging across The Void, which Caine admits he doesn't know much about himself), so he was trying the "one thing he's good at" and that's creating a new adventure level.

As someone who is also not a fan of horror and does not handle jumpscares very well, I really appreciate how this episode handled it. The “scares” always had a ramp up and never went from 0 to 100. Thank you for that!

I love how they very subtly foreshadowed this new side of Kinger in the last episode when he was talking to Ragatha with the bucket over his head because it put him in darkness and he was calmer and able to think straight. I didn't even give it a second thought. I thought it was just like when someone is lucid for a minute before going right back to being crazy. Screen writers take notes THAT is how you foreshadow something properly.
To build on top of this, his pillow fort might be a way for him to escape and regain his senses for a little bit
That and the Black Queen door from the Pilot episode when Pomni is shown her room

11:47 I have a crazy theory. As we see here, when Caine questions if his adventures are good or relevant, the entire circus starts to glitch out. So if the cast is able to make Caine feel negative about himself, that may be the only exit out.

That seems really unsafe. Like, it's possible that if the circus is destroyed rather than exited, the consciousnesses of the characters are also obliterated rather than being transported back to their bodies.

Man, I love the whole Kinger and Pomni arc. It proves that while Kinger is insane, he can be comforting at times. It also shows that his pillow fort is a way he can cope with his wife's abstraction. Side note, I love how Jax kept his "animation" when holding his breath, a secret yet when Pomni and Kinger are in hell they HAD to hold their breath. So, if it was Jax in hell, he would have to hold his breath. Overall, this episode is a banger like the other ones, but this is a whole new type of banger. Keep up the good work guys.

That hit me hard. I haven’t been feeling very happy lately… an hour ago, I got reprimanded by my dad for not being able to hear him calling me. I had my headphones on and I was listening to a song. Honestly, for every second of that scene I was worried he would just suddenly forget everything again as a joke. Obviously he did eventually, but it was after the emotional moment happened and didn't interrupt it at all. The show stayed genuine as long as it needed to, and I love that!

Kinger’s talk with Pomni was really tear-jerking, because in January, my best friend moved away to visit his terminally ill grandma and I lost my great aunt to bone cancer this summer; i would always talk to her on the way home from school with my dad. Kinger’s quote was so heartfelt and deep.

One of my favorite parts of TADC is that everything is intentional. Everyone’s dialogue or actions in previous episodes missing pieces of a bigger picture later. Kinger is just one example, I won’t be surprised if Jax’s awareness of the audience will be important later, he’s kind of like Caine in that aspect.
So like an AI maybe? I doubt it but imagine if Jax was the Abel to Caine.

Jax also has all of the keys to different places. He had the keys to Ragatha & Kaufmo's rooms and the key to the castle gates in the Candy Canyon Kingdom, none of which he was supposed to have

I like how each episode expresses the characters history and or how they feel about being trapped here. Kinger being the best one.
