Enjoy the video!
Glad you liked the Forgotton Island, that was a fun one! But i still can't get that monkey out of my head. 😂🤦♀️🐒
I will be doing a live review of The Forgotten Island, such a wild read. 😂
@@CliffsDarkGems I know, can't wait to see the live!
Garbology looks great. SGJ is a very hit and miss writer for me. Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed Gemma Amor. I recommend everything she writes. I loved The Haar and Maggie's Grave, so I hope to get to The Forgotten Island soon. Lots of love to you and Anita!
Thank you so much Jen, lots of love to you as well. I will give SGJ another chance someday. I will be doing a live review of The Forgotten Island this month, so that should be fun.
Forgotten island 🕸 talk will be fun! Glad you read Legends and Lattes when you needed it. I'm kind of in that mood right now myself. I hope the rest of the year/decade/century goes much better for you and Anita. You guys deserve a break!
Thank you so much Kritz! Legends and Lattes is such a wonderful cozy fantasy read. Our chat will be fun! 🕷🕸
6 books is pretty good considering what you’ve been through. The forgotten island looks good 👍
Thank you Vanessa! The Forgotten Island is a wild ride, you will love it!
The more I hear about Legends and Lattes the more it is intrigues me. Gotta check it out after that recommendation
Definitely Mark! It is such a wonderful book.
I’ve heard much about Legends and Lattes too but have yet to read it. Glad you enjoyed it and well wishes ahead
Thank you so much! It was a magical read!
6 books is GREAT! ❤🎉
Thank you, not bad considering the month I've had.
Hugs to you and the Mrs.
Thank you so much!
Nice wrap up Cliff. Also read Legends & Lattes, very enjoyable change of pace. Give Books & Bonedust a try when you need the same feel again, it’s a great prequel.
Thank you so much! I will definitely give the prequel a read someday.
Gwen in Green 🌱 is going to be fun to talk about in from a 1970´s and a 2024 lens. Thanks so much for the mention.
Pleasure MJ. Looking forward to the chat!
I love the cover for Gwen in Green, and I've been meaning to read Gemma Amor, so thanks for the reminder. I'm happy you got a warm hug in August. Wishing you and Anita many more warm hugs for the months to come.
Thank you so much for the kind words Michael! I am looking forward to the live chat on Gwen in Green tonight.
I liked Legends and Lattes... but I didn't love it 😅 I remember reading it and thinking "is that it?" 😂 I did not know how cutesy it would be lol
Thanks Kris! Agreed, Legends and Lattes is a very cute book! 😄I just needed something warm and cute at the time.
So glad you enjoyed Legends & Lattes, Cliff! One of my favorites. I’ll check out David Sodergren. Thanks for the recommendation.
Thank you Chas! David Sodergren is one of my new favorite authors.
Great wrap up Cliff, I've read one Stephen Graham Jones novel (The Only Good Indians) and there was something about his writing that just didn't quite click.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Legends and Lattes, I was a bit nervous when I read it due to its popularity but it lives up to the hype. It really is a big warm hug in book form.
Thanks John, I might give Stephen Graham Jones another chance, but his writing style was off-putting in this novella. Legends and Lattes was simply wonderful.
@CliffsDarkGems yeah SGJ fell into the willing to try again column for me.
I'm sad you didn't enjoy Mapping the Interior - I'm hoping to read that one soon but I understand because SGJs writing can be hard to get into! I would recommend his other novella 'Night of the Mannequins' or one of his short story collections to get a better feel for his style!
Thanks Angyl! I will definitely give him another chance. Night of the Mannequins sounds interesting.
I think the whole year has been shitty. (Excuse my language. Is it allowed to swear in the comment section? Lol) According to Goodreads I am 6 books behind my 100 books goal and it feels like I'm out of touch with reading or something. I think you have read a lot despite the things you've been through. It is good to see someone who doean't read 18-20 books each month. 🙈
It has been a very difficult couple of months. I don't mind the language 😁, not sure about youtube though. Agreed, I have no idea how people read so much each month, 8-10 is good for me. I hope you get back into your reading groove soon!
I only gave the SGJ book 2 stars. His writing style is usually a miss for me.
I also gave it 2 stars Reggie. I did not gel with his writing style but am willing top give him another try.
