True Bass is one of my favorite filters. It's a subharmonic synthesizer like Brainworx SubSynth, except it only works when it detects existing harmonics, which makes it sound very natural. With the sub-boost, which is a compressor, it's a basshead's dream. In the latest version there are exciters for bass and highs. Immersive Bass is an upper-bass harmonics generator. Similar to True Bass, but above and with less harmonic detection.
i use stereotool as a vst plugin on audacity to repair sound files with it. i also use it on my media player to breathe life back into lossy format songs (natural dynamics, stereo amplification (thimeo version)( winamp has a narrow soundstage), absolute highs, true bass, bass clipper (so the original and generated bass do not stack to much) and a negative ouput amplification (so the resulting increases do not lead to clipping. the output is set up to clip less than the input)).
Super interesting. Such a deep set of tools. Quite a hidden gem as a VST plugin for mastering engineers I wish you had hit bypass more often so we can hear what's going on
Stereo Tool is an amazing piece of software... I run it quite harsh though for a daily tiktok show and it sounds great, using it with Playout One and Neumann TLM102 (Mouted Mika Stand) ... Nice review I like your channel .... Mark (cruisingfanatic)
I know of a station that recently started using this, and it's affected their sound quality. It's sounds rather tinny, and lacks any stereo sound or bass. Any suggestions on what they're doing wrong? I can send you their link to listen and their email
Hi! Great Video! However, I can't manage to get any input (Spotify) into Stereo Tool on my MacBook Pro. Do you know where I can find a video showing me how to setup inputs and outputs?
Can I ask if your flat preset is frequency flat and just running compressor etc ? Does it include the more advanced de clipper and Is the declipper worth purchasing ?
Very nice demos and Stereo Tools does a nice job of controlling audio. The classical piece was superb. What is the price of this software? I see an option for $35USD... What version are you using and price???
Really enjoyed this video! I am going to use Stereo Tool on a raspberry pi to replace a faulty broadcast processor - How can I get live monitoring that doesn't have latency
Thanks! Great video. I just wondered, when I hear your voice, I don't see the meters moving in Stereo tool. Did you compress your voice with another device and connected with your soundcard or was it recorded in D-I with no compression?
Yes, there’s a little pop up bubble that mentions it. I processed the mic audio later using the VST plugin in Reaper. It’s a bit clunky and slow to use on my Mac but has been reliable so far.
Loudness jumps and clipping are like kryptonite to my ears. That 4-band AGC is fundamental in my autistic opinion. I can't go back to a 2-band. And I haven't really messed with a 3-band. I mean why 3 when you can have FOUR? I'm learning more about the Ariane hardware loudness processors as a result.
Stereo Tool - Super Tool 👍🏻
BBC Radio 1 is much less aggressive than this. It’s a much ‘duller’ sound (all personal preference, of course). That said, I only listen to R1 in the car or the Sonos in the kitchen. I know that if I listened to certain tracks on BBC and then switched to this preset, I know which I’d prefer 🙂👍🏻
@@tdcattech I listen through the Sounds app with 330kbps HLS quality, outputting sound through Apple TV via S / PDIF, I'm mostly satisfied with the sound.
@@tdcattech Applied your preset today. The sound is mesmerizing. Such soft. The only thing is that I have a Trial version and the clipper immediately turned off.
Check out my main website to listen to or download the test tracks in full lossless quality - tdcat.com/stereotool
your preset sounds so cool on electronic music, love it!

Used Stereo Tool for my internet radio station before. It is one of the best for the price!
do any of you have to download steriotool?

You might need a tool like Loopback to do this on the Mac. I use that together with Stereo Tool and my RME UFX to route the audio as I need.
ua-cam.com/video/kIXguK7HNig/v-deo.html - Here's a vid I did on Loopback

Don't forget to enable the Advanced or higher operating modes to expose more settings. So many settings...
Very good point. I totally forgot to mention that. You're right...sooooo many settings.
Is there studio or STL side as breakaway

@tdcattech I'd like to know also. ^^

You can't get it to 0ms but there are options with Stereo Tool to get it very low indeed.
Thanks for your reply. Any idea how to do with?

Which mic is that you’re using ? I know most mics from looks but not that one
Sennheiser MK 8
Nice tool.
Have you tested speech using your presets? I get a lot of distortion when playing pre-recorded speech.
The vocal in the video was processed using the main preset.
Does the processor come with pre sets ?
Yes. Loads of different configs.

Can I have one of your presets for pop music
Sure. You can download them here. tdcat.com/stereotool

Used Breakaway Live with preset “Plutonium”
🙂 I have also used Breakaway and opted for a slightly backed off version of Plutonium. It’s a great starting point for a dense sound though.
