Way to go MAN! that's what I am talking about really professional. That's why I keep watching your videos and for the record you do not look like dorks. PROFESSIONAL all the way. Thank you for the videos and inspiration to all Simmers.
Hey Andre, that's your best vid, yet, mate. Don't get too bummed by the uniform, I got one too, for my sim. Your captain did a great job, even with the video, so keep him in that seat. I'll be looking for one with mine, soon, too. Look forward to some more of this great professional set-up, your a credit to our obession!
I love this thanks for making this video I will be sure to subscribe to catch a lot more of them!! Btw, I love the fact that you used real Pilots uniforms, that is just great thanks for rising to the occasion!! 👍👍😀😊
If anybody has tips on a new camera that gives you wide-angle like you see in this video, but much better low-light quality, I would appreciate the input. This video was shot with a GoProHero 3 Black edition @24FPS in 1080 wide angle. This camera really is awful for this kind of night environment shooting..
Hey Buddy...Big fan of your project. I have a question and an advise for you... Do you ahve anything under the seats for vibration or something like that???? If not; you should consider adding this great hardware "ButtKIcker" as I have one in my setup. It is really awesome that could bring the cockpit to live. www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=buttkicker&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=32828229149&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10920545542631713986&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8vwsaovz98_b
***** Perhaps a real DSLR with a wide angle lens with a big aperture? Mounted on a tripod behind you it could give a nice end result. And you cold contact JustPlanes or some channel similar to that one and ask them for advice.
Also, "night" filming is hard and super bright LED vs a dark environment isn't ideal conditions. I'd say you still got a decent image with your current camera. DSLR, lenses and so on tend to get expensive quite fast so perhaps another GoPro might do the trick.
could you do tutorials of start-up in depth, taxiing in depth, takeoff and climb in depth, approach and final approach in depth, then landing in depth? I want to be an airline pilot one day!
Just to mention it - your cockpit looks fantastic. Nice flight and great vid - really enjoyed the pilot and his perfect passenger announcements. That's making it to simulator flying at it's best. Really annoying that all ATC left before you arrived but nice approach anyway. Please continue showing your simulator in videos like that.
I love watching your videos. I wish I had the budget and the room to build a full size flight sim. Can't wait for the next full flight video. Also you two work really well on screen together :)
Awesome video. That's one of the downsides about VATSIM, it seems whenever I realize someone is online at an airport, and I plan the flight, start the flight, and get within range, they log off.
Lol the uniforms freaking kick ass, I'm the same way to, u would never guess from looking at me but if i was in your shoes I'd be rocking the whole uniform role play right with you great vid!
Just to clarify my question on glideslope. A side view of your glide slope showing position of plane in relation to the glideslope would seem to be a useful tool.
Your right about the low visual quality. Could not read any of the speed or alt data on the FCP or PFDs. Hope you get that fixed as I enjoy watching your videos..
Completely AWESOME man!!! I really like your videos! You have inspired me to build my own home cockpit for FSX/Prepare3d. I do have one question for you though. Please forgive me if I missed this: What type of screen is it and where did you get your screens? Is it a 180 degree wrap around screen? I am already trying to put together a budget for this and parts list for this project. This so cool what you've done here. Really an inspiration for the rest of us!
u have not idea how much i envy you right now! awesome man u have one of the best simulators ever created! i would like to have the same thing but with fighter jets instead. ps: do you have any option to change the theme to a raining night or something similar? and are u guys talking to the computer or are they real peoples u can communicate to ?
Very impressive.....After watching some of your other videos, with all the software and installed software etc.. what kind of frame rates are you getting?
I quit following checklists a while back because the checklists made everything so systematic it got boring. When i wing it its mich more fun and usually i remember most things.
It would be amazing if you did these videos in 21:9 ratio. you could get a cheap dslr with the "nifty fifty" f1.8 lens. You could do the 21:9 crop in post. Just an idea!
At 24:01 you are changing the display settings for the co-pilot's display. What is that display setting? Is there a display that show's you flying the glideslope in real time? I use XHSI to show the primary display and the navigation display. Glen
Nice catch :) yes, this is a profile view that shows you basically the airplane from a profile view. This view is good for situational awareness while monitoring an approach as it will show you the glideslope in a magenta line, but also any terrain as seen from a profile view 😀
what is the technical name for the display? I wonder if I could put it on one of XHSI's screens. They have one blank screen display that comes with the download.
The technical title I think I have found! VSD "Vertical Situation Display". Very nice add on. I currently fly the X737 Project on X-Plane. I have been using XHSi software for the glass cockpit. X737 Projects next release will include this display. Very cool. I run on a very short budget. Would love to do it your way but I have no sponsors. So I muddle along!! LOL Your videos have been my inspiration to get into this. Even though it can be a very expensive hobby it is way cool. Looking at "Short Throw Projectors". I have a small bedroom I can use for the simulator and these projectors show the best promise.
I know that PilotEdge costs money... But the ATC controllers are real and they are trained. I honestly think that it would be worth the money to have a realistic ATC experience with your Simulator. PilotEdge supports X-Plane 10, FSX, and FS2004.
+DTLAWESOMEGAMER i signed trial-package ▬ i agree as many events have left me with stringent position it is only the heavy hours actually working that can grasp how I view the flight-deck and operation of the actual vehicle
Norwegian737Project, how much overall did it cost you to make this simulator? I am 18 and very interested in building my own but I'd like to get a general estimate first from someone who had actually made it. If you could give me a number I would be thankful!
Hello. Nice videos'n'stuff. Just a little request. Have your kid(s) ever flown the simulator before? If not, I think it could be funny to see a pilot and a first officer as a kid. :D Keep making videos man. great job.
8-O insane realistic...some not well informed watchers will say this is just a real vid. I don´t belive that even the Thrustlevers are moving on autopilot! Keep up and i think you´re both deserved the uniform.
Would love to see a flight from Calgary Alberta to Vancouver British Columbia Canada. Over and along the Rockies...should be a short but highly interesting flight.
Is this for personal use or do you rent it out? If you don't, can you hire it out? Im sure flight schools will find something like this to be highly usufeful
amazing ! You won your uniform by building this cockpit ! don't listen those critics . What is the Iphone App for the weather ? I've mess it . thanks. friendly, Will.
Also could you please please please please do a Dallas International to Denver International flight??? Denver is my home airport and Dallas is such a cool airport. This would be so amazing if you could!! I love your simulator. And if you do it on VATSIM you could have ATC! Bring a FO or even Captain and it would excell.....just some thoughts I hope you can do :)
Please keep these full flight series going they are great to watch!
Loving the uniforms! These need to be worn all the time! Makes they whole experience more realistic! Great job First Officer and Captain!
Way to go MAN! that's what I am talking about really professional. That's why I keep watching your videos and for the record you do not look like dorks. PROFESSIONAL all the way. Thank you for the videos and inspiration to all Simmers.
Marvin Brooks I agree

This is the best! Love your progress from start to finish! Hands down the best home cockpit on the planet. Keep up on the vidoes!
Great stuff gents. Glad to see another flight video. Looks fantastic. You even prompted me to get flying mine some more lately. Cheers

***** Well the Hero 4 black has "Auto low light mode" should be considerable better.

Great work on this cockpit
I wish I could have something like this... Just maybe one day
Jonathan Niday come to vienna and you can fly mine
Keep working to it mate
With a uniform?! =O Taking "simulation" to a whole new level =P
Love seeing a cockpit fully lit at night.
One of my favourite videos.
Keep up the good work!
Just to mention it - your cockpit looks fantastic. Nice flight and great vid - really enjoyed the pilot and his perfect passenger announcements. That's making it to simulator flying at it's best. Really annoying that all ATC left before you arrived but nice approach anyway.

Perfect video....this and Insbruck,St Marteen and Kai Tai..... perfect...
I like the uniforms. Nice touch!
I love watching your videos. I wish I had the budget and the room to build a full size flight sim. Can't wait for the next full flight video. Also you two work really well on screen together :)
A great video as always!
Awesome video. That's one of the downsides about VATSIM, it seems whenever I realize someone is online at an airport, and I plan the flight, start the flight, and get within range, they log off.
Nice work guys, so far I've only been enjoying...
Lol the uniforms freaking kick ass, I'm the same way to, u would never guess from looking at me but if i was in your shoes I'd be rocking the whole uniform role play right with you great vid!
This is AMAZING please do more of this !
Great video I like the long flight videos with the edits

Awesome guys, very professional too! :)
welcome to norwegian737 praaaaaaaaaaaaaaajjject ... nice work man !! with all respect
What are the visuals you are using? Screen and Projector?
Yes he is
Loved this video! so realistic
Dude your should get a more powerful graphics card for powering the flight simulator. It is stuttering.
Some would say that you make yourself look like fools in these uniforms, but it just make the viewers experience more realistic! :D Great video :D
gustav bastholm truelsen Agreed
Mhm
really awesome, good job!!! and the uniforms are cool too
As usual great videos. What light upgrades did you do?
Very cool video! But the landing light update seems a little bit too bright, isn't it?
That's one impressive sim you have there sir
That thing is amazing
Awsome I want more love it watched it twice already
Completely AWESOME man!!! I really like your videos! You have inspired me to build my own home cockpit for FSX/Prepare3d. I do have one question for you though. great video!
You are the most lucky man in the world with that sim. I fly with an xbox controller and a keyboard.
Great video thanks for doing it.
Very impressive.....After watching some of your other videos, with all the software and installed software etc.. what kind of frame rates are you getting?
This is so awesome! Often you can´t realize whether it is real or not! Well done! :-)
What software is used for the flight attendance briefings and cabin sounds? Love the "Welcome to London Gatwick".
Unge Fleksnes?
you guys are awesome !!!!
I quit following checklists a while back because the checklists made everything so systematic it got boring. When i wing it its mich more fun and usually i remember most things.

Haha.. Lol
Yea I like it :)
very nice. i hope you will do next video with him :)

What platform are you using?Looks amazing!
Wish I knew someone with a full sim set-up. This would be fun
Really amazing!
how does the cabin crew know it s Gatwick ???? (arrival announcement)
GPS and other navigational systems.
+PilotStudios ok i guess , but what is the announcement add on ? Is it embedded in the plane add on ? Thank you

but on vatsim you hve whole world controled and on PilotEdge you have only small part of america
Nice work on the sim, how long has it taken for you to build it up to this point?
The costumes are badass
Hello,
I like you project. Very Nice!
But how is communication made with atc?
Are you keeping a record of your flight hours? It is the best home built simulator I have ever seen....
crazy job , nice !
Can you make a video of how you connected all the parts like the MIP and the overhead.
How much did it cost to make this simulator?
Norwegian737Project, how much overall did it cost you to make this simulator? I am 18 and very interested in building my own but I'd like to get a general estimate first from someone who had actually made it. If you could give me a number I would be thankful!
Can you make some storm scene?
Hello. Nice videos'n'stuff. Just a little request. Have your kid(s) ever flown the simulator before? If not, I think it could be funny to see a pilot and a first officer as a kid. :D
Keep making videos man. great job.
Which addon did you use for the cabin announcements?
Kan du ta en flytur fra Oslo til Frankfurt??? Hadde vert kult det :)
What add on do you have for the strobe light off the wing?
Fantastic!
Over and along the Rockies...should be a short but highly interesting flight.
did this simulator hv a hydraulic system to simulate the movement
absolutely nothing wrong about the uniforms. Its all about the fun and the atmosphere
What about ATC? Was it IVAO or smth else? How did u made it? )
thanks ! app is no longer free but anyway thanks for your answer ! best regards!
Pas mal la luminosité de jour ! et super simu :)
Brillian, crazy stuff :)
By any chance you would fly to Singapore? Thanks.
Hi,i would like to know if you use the sim avionics glass cokpit and,
How is your mip connected is it throught usb?
How many computers do you ise
If you had a go pro so the audience could also look out the plane would be awesome
Is this for personal use or do you rent it out? If you don't, can you hire it out? Im sure flight schools will find something like this to be highly usufeful
I want one like this but a B777 version :D
engine start switches on continuous before take off and landing
Kidding me?
Please see 7:44 and 22:51
How much did it cost you to build the cockpit
I dont know if this question is to personal, but how much money have you spent on this project?
Why autothrottle puts levers strangely? Looks weird...
amazing !
You won your uniform by building this cockpit ! don't listen those critics .
What is the Iphone App for the weather ? I've mess it .
thanks.
friendly,
Will.
Hey! The app I'm showing you, is called AeroWeather. Best app ever, after Snapchat ofcourse.. :)
outstanding
!!!!!
8:20 you should never have wing anti-ice in before departure!
why not? I believe u may use anti-ice every time icing conditions exist expect if the plane has been sprayed with de-icing fluid
respect! great stuff
Amazing must be amazing to be a pilot
When you initially contacted Gatwick ground or tower you advised in information Charlie when you actually had delta 😂
What simulation software are you running?
I think getting dress for the part is not silly but awesome. Your already in a simulator; you might as well go all the way.
+Norwegian737Project
Awesome!
Hi guys
Oops, panel lights switch falls off... xD
I noticed the announcement on landing mentioned Gatwick; what is that from?
It is from an own recording I made from a real-world flight to Gatwick. These sounds are triggered using a program called ProSimAFAS
