    Hey Andre, that's your best vid, yet, mate. Don't get too bummed by the uniform, I got one too, for my sim. Your captain did a great job, even with the video, so keep him in that seat. I'll be looking for one with mine, soon, too.
    Look forward to some more of this great professional set-up, your a credit to our obession!

    If anybody has tips on a new camera that gives you wide-angle like you see in this video, but much better low-light quality, I would appreciate the input. This video was shot with a GoProHero 3 Black edition @24FPS in 1080 wide angle. This camera really is awful for this kind of night environment shooting..

      Hey Buddy...Big fan of your project. I have a question and an advise for you... Do you ahve anything under the seats for vibration or something like that???? If not; you should consider adding this great hardware "ButtKIcker" as I have one in my setup. It is really awesome that could bring the cockpit to live.
      www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=buttkicker&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=32828229149&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10920545542631713986&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8vwsaovz98_b

      ***** Perhaps a real DSLR with a wide angle lens with a big aperture? Mounted on a tripod behind you it could give a nice end result.
      And you cold contact JustPlanes or some channel similar to that one and ask them for advice.

    • @wooe
      @wooe 9 років тому

      Also, "night" filming is hard and super bright LED vs a dark environment isn't ideal conditions. I'd say you still got a decent image with your current camera. DSLR, lenses and so on tend to get expensive quite fast so perhaps another GoPro might do the trick.

    Just to mention it - your cockpit looks fantastic. Nice flight and great vid - really enjoyed the pilot and his perfect passenger announcements. That's making it to simulator flying at it's best. Really annoying that all ATC left before you arrived but nice approach anyway.
    Please continue showing your simulator in videos like that.

    Completely AWESOME man!!! I really like your videos! You have inspired me to build my own home cockpit for FSX/Prepare3d. I do have one question for you though. Please forgive me if I missed this: What type of screen is it and where did you get your screens? Is it a 180 degree wrap around screen? I am already trying to put together a budget for this and parts list for this project. This so cool what you've done here. Really an inspiration for the rest of us!

    At 24:01 you are changing the display settings for the co-pilot's display. What is that display setting? Is there a display that show's you flying the glideslope in real time? I use XHSI to show the primary display and the navigation display.

    • @Norwegian737Project
      @Norwegian737Project  9 років тому +1

      Nice catch :) yes, this is a profile view that shows you basically the airplane from a profile view. This view is good for situational awareness while monitoring an approach as it will show you the glideslope in a magenta line, but also any terrain as seen from a profile view 😀

    • @glenaw
      @glenaw 9 років тому

      what is the technical name for the display? I wonder if I could put it on one of XHSI's screens. They have one blank screen display that comes with the download.

    • @glenaw
      @glenaw 9 років тому

      The technical title I think I have found! VSD "Vertical Situation Display". Very nice add on. I currently fly the X737 Project on X-Plane. I have been using XHSi software for the glass cockpit. X737 Projects next release will include this display. Very cool. I run on a very short budget. Would love to do it your way but I have no sponsors. So I muddle along!! LOL Your videos have been my inspiration to get into this. Even though it can be a very expensive hobby it is way cool. Looking at "Short Throw Projectors". I have a small bedroom I can use for the simulator and these projectors show the best promise.

    I know that PilotEdge costs money... But the ATC controllers are real and they are trained. I honestly think that it would be worth the money to have a realistic ATC experience with your Simulator. PilotEdge supports X-Plane 10, FSX, and FS2004.
