The tanks look beautiful Taylor! One thing I do want to mention is that you may want to move Twisty’s UVB under the mesh as the mesh can block up to 50% of the output. Anyway the tanks are looking really great, I wish I have the room for one of those lol

Em Ell, Actually a T5 should still go under the mesh. The UV output is still too low.
Bearded Dragons need a UVI of around 3-7. An Arcadia 12% (T5) gives off 2.4 UVI 13” away from the dragon (recommended mounting height on box), WITH a reflector, which is mandatory as it bounces a huge amount of UVB back (5.5 UVI with reflector UNDER mesh compared to 2.3).
The Reptisun T5 gave slightly less, only 2.2 UVI when on top of the mesh. (5.5 UVI with reflector under mesh, 2.1 with NO reflector).
UVB bulbs will give off slightly less and less UVB as it ages, they drop approx. .1-.2
As you can imagine, after a few months you’ll have to buy another bulb (which can be pricey). Normally they can be used for 6 months to a year. Everything was measured with a Solarmeter 6.5

I started watching you a while ago, and I fell in love with all of your snakes, especially Toast. I started doing research a year ago and I finally got my first snake a few days ago!! An Emperor Pin ball python (her names Asteria, my little Greek goddess of the stars) so thank you ❤️
Hey Taylor! I’d suggest going off reptile carpet for the beardie. I’ve seen a leo get a really bad bacterial infection from one and I don’t want your beardie or you to go through what that leo and it’s owner had to go through.
No matter how well you wash it, the bacteria still basically gets fused into the fabric.
But these are some really awesome tanks! They look absolutely amazing and I honestly love how natural every thing looks! Kronos looks so happy too!
T. D well you can use tile. Or go bioactive.
Tile, non adhesive shelf liner, paper towels, and newspaper are all good substrates for beardies
Yeah when I had the carpet my beardies cage constantly smelled bad! It was annoying. It was easier to moniter his pooping (obviously because you can't miss it) but I switched to biodudes tierra sahara kit and my room smells great and it looks more natural! 😁
I got some sort of cleaning spray kind of thing for my vet. You spray it on the carpet, leave it for 2 hours, rinse it out and it kills every bacteria. Ask your vet, maybe they can help
I use to use carpet until I realized how gross it was, currently using paper towels. Easy to manage and clean up, my next step is to get tile of some sort. People say shelf liner works great too!
Those animals more comfy in there than I am in my own room.

Love the new enclosures!! I would also recommend changing bindis substrate to top soil as well as Attas! Also make sure Atta has a heat mat instead of heat bulb. Heat bulbs and uvb can be fine for leopard geckos but they need belly heat to be able to digest correctly. Top soil also holds burrows and holes better! Dry eco earth is too dusty and can cause respiratory problems.

Cody Joanne most reptile bulbs are energy efficient meaning they don’t take a lot of power to run otherwise all reptile keepers would have a huge bill. I’m of course assuming her bulbs are on a timer for those who need dark and nighttime.
Yeah I have bunch plugged into surge protecters and timers and the electric bill hardly goes up much.

Whereas if you saved up to 700 and bought it, you wouldn’t spend that extra 140. That’s just a hypothetical situation tho of course

The editing of this video was amazing. I love the way it was put together. The ending though, your words didn't match with your lips lol I'm not sure if that was accidental or purposeful but yeah, just had to point that out. I'm so glad they all got upgrades. The new cages look incredible. Custom cages did a really good job. I can't wait to see how the rest of the cages turned out and how the room will be set up once all of the new cages are there and set up.
