I had figured this out independently and have been trying to do it consistently against players who beat me. I can really see results when I play as the video recommends. And I feel the immediate punishment when I don’t!
Great advice until your opponent decides to hit the "leisure centre boast", then it's ice pack time or worse. Understanding and mitigating the dangers in the court are essential. Cheers
I like to do that off my serve. I find if I move quicker into the T and really bounce around, it puts a lot of pressure on the opponent rather than just staying passive
then you need to make sure you're not blocking your opponent's shot as you watch them play the ball. The closer your ball sticks to the side wall the more you can move over. If your shot strays to the middle, you need to give space for your opponent.
Something I like to do is maybe have one foot on the middle T-line (middle red line) when your shot isn't a perfect length. Not being fully over means you can get to the cross and boast. I would say only move over further than this when you length is exceptional or your opponent is out of position and your are basically certain what their next shot will be.

What if you get hit by the ball on a Floating T and if the ball would have made it to the front wall would that not be a stroke

Any tips on not getting burned on the cross when cheating like this?
This. Or if they just do a boast on the left wall.
