Sheffield Doc/Fest 2013: Who Do You Think You Are?: Behind the Scenes

To celebrate ten years of the classic, award-winning genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are?, the show's creator and Executive Producer, Alex Graham, will be joined on stage by a Director and a Producer from the show, and Larry Lamb, who has undergone the Who Do You Think You Are? experience.

I love the series. It gives a close up look at the celebrity and his/ her immediate family, and exploring the ancestors is a fun way to learn history.

I wish they'd stop calling them "the celebrities". They're human beings, for fuck's sake. They have feelings about all of this, and they are brave for allowing for a process that's set by the producers. This is milking real people's real emotions for TV, and yes, these people have agreed to that - but I wish this group would talk with a little more grace and kindness about their experience.
