Same. I have the EP8, EP8 RS, Bosch CX Gen 4 2021 and the Brose 2.2 and so far The bosch is my favorite one. Also 630w battery is pretty low range on the EP8, I have the 2022 Heckler with the 720w and thats almost as good as the 650w Bosch. The new 750w bosch batteries will blow the EP8 and Brose out of the water for range.
The actual difference in distance travelled if you ride according to each motor’s strengths and weaknesses is only a small proportion of the whole ride and it’s not going to be many times a year for it to make an actual difference. A second battery is the solution for that. I’d like to see more innovation for how manufacturers present batteries. What about the bike coming with two batteries that fix together totalling 900whr with one being 600 and the other 300 and both being inside the frame. All sorts of opportunities there for weight and weight distribution advantages for different riding days …
Hi Guys, I have been riding my levo for 1 year now and absolutely love it. My wife wants to start, but at only 5’2” on a good day is quite restricted on bikes. What bikes would you advise for a shorter rider, preferably Bosch or Brose. Thanks
See what you did there. Nice repeat of yourself. The Repeater looks nice but shame on the EP8 motor and only 630Wh battery. A large Wh option would have been nice.
It's funny but comments on this channel are the only hate I see on shimano motors. Everywhere else online I look in forums etc it's Bosch and other motors suffering from reliability issues. I'm taking delivery of my Norco range vlt next week after tons of research opting for the shimano ep8 🤷♂️. Did I miss something here? 😂
@@Roaming50 oh the clutch rattle? Yea I'm ok with that, doesn't bother me. I rode an e8000 for a couple weeks and the difference with the ep8 is worth the trade off. I think these motors are somewhat "disposable" at the moment which is a shame but I'm crossing my fingers for aftermarket repair support by third parties. Battery weight is the biggest thing that could be improved which hopefully will be backwards compatible lol
Besides the seat tube angle, I think the gen 2 levo is more innovative. My riding style, I like a mullet with shorter chainstays, the way other folks are going. Guess I shouldn't knock it til I try it.
Internal routing around a headset should not coming to the MTB. The headset is a key wear item and one that is really really simple to work on at home. You introduce internal routing and you're making a very simple straight forward part become a problem. To simply change a headset you now need to cut a brake hose and re bleed the system. It's bad enough that his is on the modern day road bike.
When is a bike company going to create an Ebike with smaller motor (even smaller than the specialized Levo SL) with only one gear? Something that would weight just about the same as a regular mountain bike.
Reater a fail for me with that absolutely stupid through headset cable guiding. People with vitus and nukeproof (same system) are finding their bearings are shot within 2 months. And what a pain to work on you bike.
Always eyes bigger than ability, nothing wrong with the motor plenty of power more than enough for most wannabes and let’s face it that is who it’s for,we’ll good enough for non national competition events if you’re capable of riding the wheels off this bike which I doubt you should be looking elsewhere, most of us can’t eat what’s on our plate
What took them so long was that they said they never would make an eBike. Pretty sure they still feel that way because the local B'ham trails they ride are not eBike friendly and lots of folks ride Transition bikes and are the aholes that put up the most stink. Small battery, small following, good luck boys.
Hahaha Steve, but it's not made from the latest 200% stronger material, you must be terrified ti ride a simple carbon bike. As you break carbon bikes so easy... 😂😂😂😂
What do you think of the new Transition Repeater? Let us know 👇
Doesn't seem any different from most other E-bikes, although maybe a bit less innovative.
Oh boy, another over priced under powered Euro spec BORING BIKE. Doesnt even have a throttle.
That drone footage of la palma is stunning, looks amazing
We agree! The team did a great job!
Perfect perfect perfect and easy to set up!👍🏾
Criss it's an Australian magpie mate,, sorry to pop your bubble,, loving your banter😂😂😂👍🇬🇧
Yet another animal in Australia that is hell bent on killing you. Had one take a decent chunk out of my ear this spring.
@ Steven Drewitt
might of been after a shiny earring ?
Magpie, that likes to swoop on bikers .
Steve, “I think”, how any times, in the opening transition piece. Cmon guys, numbers are numbers!
Cheers for the vault shout out! 👍
Thanks for sending in your bike and cheers for the support!
Nice looking bike , looks like my Merida e160 8000 2021
This is really cool, I hope my channel goes forward and can make videos like that, keep going bro!
Looks nice but I wish they’d swap to Bosch Gen 4 . EP8 is lowest power and rattly. I’d pay extra for Bosch .

Agreed but Bosch rattles too so neither for me

Transition looks nice, what was the name of the guys company in la palma where you could hire the ebikes??

@@e-swift3923 I wouldn’t say hate. Just that a lot of reviews comment on the noise of the EP8 when not under load - say descending technical terrain.

After quick internet check, it looks like hooded crow, but am no expert, nice one Chris!
Steve, what brand are does sunglasses?
Did I hear correctly when Steve said La Palma had an earthquake? I though it was a volcanic eruption? Or are they the same?
Got real excited there for a second, but I don't actually want a full e-bike. I'd much rather have a lightweight e-bike. Half the power, less weight.
Kenevo Sl ;-)
We all know Neil from GMBN loves a Specialized Turbo Kenevo SL! That's a brilliant lightweight E-bike!
Yeah, but I want more options. Those bikes look great and all, but they're also too pricey. More options would be great for the consumer.
Have you tried a heavy one? They stick to the ground, monster truck life 😂
I think you were a little crazy on the bike vault this week
that cable routing is beyond awful
MAGPIE!!! Aussie style
Besides the seat tube angle, I think the gen 2 levo is more innovative. My riding style, I like a mullet with shorter chainstays, the way other folks are going. Guess I shouldn't knock it til I try it.
Only one problem, it doesn't have a Bosch motor😟
That black white bird near Byron is an Aussie Magpie seen before on your show dive bombing cyclists they are very territorial 🦅🦅
My bike was on the bike vault the 1st bike a specialized kenevo and I didnt get a comment off you guys nice or super nice 😥
Late to the party and behind the times, put a 750 and a Bosch in and I'll buy it

Best pandemic purchase

Regular bike doesn't have a battery
Folks see Bushcraft Bear's UA-cam channel for some detail on the beautiful island of La Palma. Well worth a visit.
The bird is a Magpie
we can fly to the moon but can't make a light EMTB...with full power.
I like this bike but price doesn’t seem to do it any justice, look at the new fezzari Timp peak $5999 for a really nice bike and spec

So Taiwanese frame, gears Japanese motor and batteries. German made brakes. Indonesian tyres. So same as everybody else then.

EP8 is worst engine.
nx at 7500 eur i think guys

Err is that only 10ah battery lmfao
Its a downhill ebike 🙈🤣🤣
Hahaha Steve, but it's not made from the latest 200% stronger material, you must be terrified ti ride a simple carbon bike. As you break carbon bikes so easy... 😂😂😂😂
Is just a YETI
Making fun of Lahhhshhhh but literally said addidazzz 🤣🤣🤣🤣 clown
Another excellent reviews, can you pls convert your kilogram to pounds 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😂😂🍺🍺👍👍
There is no reason to convert from a modern system to an obsolete one.
Stop making bikes without 750w😒
Another underpowered overpriced euro spec boring bike. I'll keep my Biktrix Ultra.
