I’ve just come across your channel! Love it! I have a ‘61 CJ5 that I plan on doing everything you did. Glad I found the channel cause I’ll need it for the rebuild!! Keep up the good work, great job on the videos !
I watched your other vid on the use of the o/drive. The angle of the camera in the Jeep served to mask the low-range engaging lever so I thought your CJ-5 was one of the latter-day once which came with single transfer box lever. I am now pleased to see, after you also disclosed the year of manufacture, that it features the original traditional 2-stalk design.
In the early 70's the only people who really had four wheel drives were ranchers, loggers, farmers, hunters and fishermen. My father had many Willys Jeeps universals. My favorite was his Willys universal (may have been CJ-5) which had a Perkins naturally aspirated diesel engine. He preferred Ramsey P.T.O. winches. We went to some amazing places in Colorado.
Nice work on the CJ! The nice thing about them is they kept the same drivetrain components for almost their entire production run. My father had the Dual-Matics on his 1948.
Great video you’ve done a lot of great upgrades! Really makes these old jeeps more driver friendly. You should check out the FJ40 starter upgrade I’ve got one on my F head it really turns it over good. Keep it up!
Really nice upgrades.... Doing the job right not only looks great but gives a more comfortable and safe feel when on the highway...When you added the length of the overdrive and PTO in your drivetrain, how short did your rear driveshaft end up being? What would you consider too short? I'm changing out a the original 1977 cj5 with the AMC 304T150/dana 20 combo to a sm465/dana 300 with Tera low and I'm concerned as to how short is too short for the rear shaft? Thank you.
Drive shaft length is unaffected, because the overdrive and pto run off the main input gear of the transfer case, the overdrive replaces that with a planetary gear set up and the pto goes on the overdrive outlet shaft which can be covered by the overdrive shaft cover.
Which mater cylinder did you used? I'm planning to do it, but the stores over here don't have them in stock physically to measure them. Is the one you used from the AMC or the Fairmont one?
Hello how are you. I need to buy several of the items shown in this video, but I don't have the address where to buy. Could you please let me know the address of websites and stores on this topic? thank you very much in advance.

Thank you, ill check it out, good content on you're channel if you need anything let me know.
Hey when you put the overdrive and PTO on, aside from the adapter in-between was there anything else needed or do they just bolt together?
Hell ya do her right

I would keep the dana 20 as parts are very easy to change and it's a gear to gear drive not chain driven.
@@southernjeepand4x481 the 300 has no chain, either
I'm curious about the electric wiper motors. Which brand did you go with, and did they come with blades? Thanks!
I believe they are omix-ada wiper motors, and they should come with arms, and blades.

This one came in a kit, but it is a Fairmont mc.
Have you done any front end suspension upgrades.
No all stock, suspension wise.
