Absolute respect. What an amazing journey. Our first “Camper “ was a CJ5, it was a treat to just keep it running. Thank you for the great story, looking forward to the book!
I have watched the 1st video you made several times, and sorry to hear of Lauren's passing. so sad but thank you for making the videos. love the story.
Maybe Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. I used to drive a 78 CJ5 for many years. Best Wishes
Great to see Mr Upton's cj5 again! I followed his adventures in Off Road magazine in the 80's, the articles about that tall skinny man wearing his distinguishing felt campaign hat driving his cj5 across the world influenced me to own many early cj5's. Great to see this special jeep is making the rounds, hopefully Mr Upton's adventures will get written about again.
I came across your story a few years ago. What an amazing adventure the two of you had. I also have a red 64 CJ5 and feel I need to now do my JEEP logos in yellow. I could spend hours listening to your stories and geeking out on the CJ.
We need a book!
