- Did you know that the name 'Talat Noi' means 'little market'? Today, Talat Noi is a cultural attraction. Locals retain their form of speech, food, and folk beliefs as in the past. Houses and lanes are lathered with graffiti that makes the place popular with teenagers, hipsters, and foreign tourists who want to experience a traditional Chinese quarter.
It is convenient to other attractions: the historic neighbourhood on Charoen Krung Road, Bangkok General Post Office, Wat Traimit (Golden Buddha) and the Assumption Cathedral. All are in Bang Rak District. Also the well known Yaowarat Rod in Chinatown is only a 10-15 minutes walk from there and you can reach the iconic Iconsiam also easily.
Visited Areas: Rong Kueak Shrine, Marine Headquarter Department, Antique Turtle car (Fiat 500), Photohostel & Photocafe, Chow Sue Kong Shrine

Great area to explore, have a coffee at Mother Roaster or listen to the vinyl records at Baan Rim Nam. Nice area, I'm doing a video about where to live or stay in Talat Noi! Great video Frank!
Thank you very much Pat. Ja, you always go into the deep of an area. That are my highlights on your videos. I think no other Expat UA-camr knows so much about the different areas of Bangkok
hey Franko good that you have added voiceover, you are getting better with each videos, keep it up!
Thank you very much for your nice comment. I try to get better with every video and improve them. I will do my best 🤗
Wicked video Franko! Thanks for the mention as well
You are always welcome. Thank you for your footage mate🤗
Gutes Photos von mir. Toll gemacht monkey. Schönes video. Wir hatten viel spaß da
Ja, das stimmt. Wir haben eine Meeeenge Fotos gemacht :D
Great art on the walls. Thank you for showing me this place. I will look the video from your friend too.
The art on the walls is really good. They found good artists to make interesting and funny graffity. I like that alot
It's always a pleasure watching your videos my dear friend, beautiful work done here 💗🌹🙏 wish you all the best. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you very much Natalia. This was a very nice comment 🤗. I wish you all the best too. 🎄🎆
Wonderful video. I love how your long form walks give a real feeling for the neighborhood. Thank you for sharing, Franco!
Thank you very much Life Slices. This is somehow the intention of my channel to be a bit "slower" and gives you a better feeling about the areas I visit. I appreciate that you like it.
Wow I love this area! Excellent video on a cold night in England. You're a very good photographer Franko, would like to see more of your shots!
Ouw. Thank you very much. We do alot more shots. Maybe I will include from time to rime some more in my videos. Greetings to England 🇬🇧
Another great video Franko. What a beautiful old area full of art and heritage. In all the time I've been going to Thailand, have never been to Talat Noi. Now it's top of my list (including the bicycle tour :-)
Great to hear that you like it. Talat Noi is kind of unique (like many areas to be honest) with all the machine parts reapairs and so on. It is super interesting to go there and look directly into their workplace. Sometimes they invote you to look and they show what they do. Really great :)
nice walk franko a very nice area to explore
Thank you Maark. I like that area because u will see things u never will see in europe like the "open company doors" where u can see people do their daily work. My grandfather does similar work at home after he retired and so.e of the things they do I understand fro. The technical standpoint
Great walk Franko. I like these locla and old looking commuinties. It's more exciting for me to see this old houses and small alleys than the modern highrises. Well done - give me more of this please.
Nice that you like it. I appreciate it. There will be come more of them for sure :)
Hola Franco. I like this video because you show alot of this area. The open garages are great to see- We have same here. It's easy and cheap to get spareparts for my car. Your meeting with the monk must be interesting. Do you have his channelname?
I like this open garages. The people like to show what they do and if you stand there and look they sometimes invite you to take a closer watch.
Looks like a really peaceful place. Interesting to see that the houses often not onlybhave a small door. Sometimes the complete front of a house is open. I hope you have managed your sunburn like a real man 😉😆 Hrhr
I managed it. After 3 days it was better. I looked like cooked lobster after my walk. The houses are often living place and wor place at the same time. Sometimes you can see their kitchen or living room behind their offices. Really interesting.
Excellent video of this cool area. Hoping to go to Thailand again next year. Have been to Bangkok twice, but never to Talat Noi.
Thank you very much. If you go to Thailand next year, you should giveTalat Noi definitely a try. In my opinion it's one of the most special area.
Nice video franko, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you mate. 😊 I try to improve my skills and put more ideas and work in the videos.
@@frankoseven you are doing a great job
@@Paul_G_Eats 🤗👍🙏
I like the shots of the map pointing out the areas covered in the video. i wish all the youtubers did this. Thank you
Thank you very much. Ja this was the idea because I saw many people talking about areas but in the end you - as viewer - mostly didn't know exactly where they are. So a map helps a bit for the orientation.
I have had my worst sunburn so far in Thailand after this walk :D. It needs 3 days till my skin calms down. Hahaha
sun looked hot man
@@tyroneskitchen2583 It was painfully hot. 😆
great stuff man :)
Thank you mate :) It was freakin' hot but worth to visit. The advantage was that it was so hot that nobody walks there around. Hahha😓
@@frankoseven yeah that was a big bonus
Hi.good job.can u let me know what day of the week did u video ,because almost every where are closed .
Thanks 🙏
I've checked and it was a monday. I noticed that many small and medium-sized shops outside Bangkok Central are closed on Monday. I particularly noticed this in Chinatown. A lot of the small street food vendors seem to take Mondays off. They probably do their main business Thursday through Sunday. Of course I don't know exactly but that's what I've observed over the months.
Khobkun muk krup phom
You welcome :) @@Bangkok1959
