3:43 Thanks for this info!!!!! Will take note when I decide to shift into my own house. By the way, i am one of those persons that live in my parent's house with a Wifi 5 router and constantly face slow Internet speeds, disconnections and also dead zones.
Yeah, after 10 years, it's definitely time for an upgrade! Technology's come a long way, and a new router can make a huge difference in speed and stability. Glad you're thinking about it now! 👌
I just finally bit the bullet and bought the AX88U Pro to help the AX88U, I am still doing Asus AI Mesh with Merlin software and put the AC68U in the master bedroom
I would like to get advise from you. My current cable internet plan is 150M download speed/30M upload speed plan and is using Asus RT AC66U B1 router ( I think it is wifi 4). Should I upgrade to a wifi 6 Asus router? If yes, what is your recommendation? Thanks for quick reply.
That's not how it works with Tech channels I'm afraid. They will have dozens of affiliate links in the description, this channel is no different, however its important to read the reviews as the majority of the options in that list have bad reviews. I'm in the same boat and looking for advice but honest product advice is rare and hard to find. For example! One of the routers listed in the description of this video states "Best WiFi6E Routers in 2024" yet you can find numerous videos with completely opposite opinions and results.
Next time I have to overhaul my home network, I'll just buy Access Point and make DiY router... mid-range Asus router becomes so expensive that it might make sense if I just make my own router and simply use my old Asus router as access point. I still need to learn about the details... but I'll see it as a new learning experience... for better or worse XD
What you failed to point out is hardwired into the router. ALWAYS faster than WiFi. But, it requires you to run an Ethernet cable wire to the device. Sometimes more difficult. Other times, not so much. Ethernet cable to another access point is relatively cheap. Maybe you can talk about Elon Musk StarLink. Internet plans starting at $120/mo. Maybe connect from ANYWHERE? Don’t be tethered to your home. And another video on what you really need. Streamed video buffer. Maybe gamming you need faster internet. What justifies a new wifi or modem?
I know my new phone has a faster Wi-Fi speed than our router supports, my father says we need a new router, my phone is faster on mobile data than Wi-Fi
You are my go to for all things wireless router. Excellent videos. I’ve watched dozens of yours videos and everyone has been informative and helpful.

Thank you for making helpful videos
Glad you like them!
Thanks Behfor. More good info. It seems that too many manufacturers don't support their routers very well or very long.
You're very welcome and thanks!
Great advice👍🏻
Glad you liked it 👍🏻
A timely video video for me
Great 😃
Thanks
You're welcome!
Hi Behfor, would you do a video on vlans on the Asus Pro version? And how can it be used to segregate IoT and security cameras.
Yes, that's on my list 👍
Outstanding young man!
I hadn't thought about updating my router until this year, when things started to get glitchy. Turns out I bought the thing over 10 years ago... -_-

i am using tl 845n which is not that satisfying but it does my work done
As long as it does the job, that's great! Thanks for sharing!
You only need 1 key sign ... Cursing because things take forever to get done 😂
😂

That's a great idea and definitely better than using a single wireless router 🙂
#5 when you move to bigger house.

You should do a video, seems like you know a thing or two. What brand router and model would be perfect for COD MW3 ?

Yes, if the router is very old, the difference in speed becomes more noticeable. Thanks!
@@Behfor yeah my dad says it’s our Internet provider and the bill keeps going up too
