I got the size small bc my torso is 16" and had asked REI Chat which size to get. He advised the small. I have to return it because it's too big for me 😞. Everything about it is fantastic... except for the front pockets. They are TINY and cannot fit my phone. Literally the only downfall I can see on it.

I was just fitted for a backpack yesterday! This is the only one that worked with my slightly rounded shoulders to get a proper fit. I purchased it and didn't even realize all the cool features it has (rain cover and day pack is an awesome bonus!). Thanks for your review! It's helpful!

I love this pack. I've used it for a year. I don't backpack frequently enough to justify spending tons of cash on ultralight gear, so this pack allows me to carry my bulky not-so-light gear really comfortably. My only dislike is that the hip belt pockets are annoyingly small (I stopped using them).
Hey there! I’ve been researching packs for several weeks now. In the end, I’ve purchased both a Deva 60 and a Kalmia 60. I went to REI to be properly fit and try them both on with weight. Since I’m taking my time deciding on a pricey investment, I wanted to get both so I could try them with my own gear at home. But, now I’m home and realized that something seems off. I can’t turn my head up to look at the sky without the top of the pack blocking my neck. Any thoughts on what I’m missing?
Hi Sandra! Sorry I didn’t get back sooner! It’s great that you are taking your time and really testing these packs! Since the pack is taller than your torso when you look straight up you will hit your head on the top. However, your shoulder straps may be a little too tight if it really restricts your ability to look up. Let me know what you find out! Thank you for watching!😊
Torso length was correct but when I packed my own gear in, the Deva’s brain was just too tall. I ended up keeping the Kalmia even though I preferred the lumbar support of the Deva.
I just bought this pack, my husband bought the baltoro 65 and there were no raincovers ☹️ I find it hard to have the raincovers I thought were included to be missing.

Hi Jessica! I am 5'5" and I got the small. And with the small I keep the shoulder straps on the lower loops. It sounds like it may be a little too large for you! Also be sure to adjust the straps that are at the top above the shoulder straps to ensure it is the right feel as well! I hope that helps! Please don't hesitate to ask any other questions. @@JourneyMore Thank you, I think I’m just being a bit picky, I’m used to black diamond backpacks and those have the shoulder straps at the same level that the internal frame, which allows to lift the head up. 🤭🤭🤭😆😆😆. I guess I just need to get used to not lift my head and also to the heavyweight of the backpack.
