Even though Mendoza fell prey to 303's effects like everyone else, she at least deserves props for still having enough courage to strike at it, given that everyone else froze up entirely.
Honestly, I'm surprised 303 didn't just walk away after getting punched in the face like that. He was just like, "Ow. My face," and just still stood there like nothing happened.
You neglected to mention how Site 41 has minimized the impact of 303 manifestations by altering its internal architecture so that each room has at least two doors located on opposite sides of the room. That way it can't trap someone until they die like it did with that one guy. Doors are also staggered so that it can't block more than one room's entrance at a time.
True, but he’s so scary that if he doesn’t decide to leave you will starve to death from not trying to escape. The doorman has unfortunately caused a few fatalities if you have read their file. Seriously one of my favorite iconic SCPs.
Me and my brother both have heard footsteps really late or early in the morning several times. We both saw a shadow of someone standing at our doors then disappearing when we open them. This doesn’t help lol. No one was awake and no one was there. I have a lot worse stories…
and when someone does manage to see them they turn most of their body invisible, and have the same reaction as it gives people when it can't escape someone's line of sight
First heard of this one and the shy guy from a single video - an SCP homage from an excellent horror animation UA-camr. In that short story, it was actually terrifying enough to stop a rampaging shy guy in its tracks. Awesome stuff.
I think the doorman needs those chemical mixtures to produce the sound it makes which "can" release a pheromone and acoustic that induces the fear response.
Hate to break it to you bud, but the sound that it makes is the sound of it breathing. It doesn't need chemicals for that. And it wouldn't use pheromones because pheromones wouldn't be able to reach the one guy who died. You know, the guy who was trapped on the other side of the air sealed storage unit. The Author of the SCP just made it steal random things to make it more unsettling because it makes the reader think "What is he going to do with those chemicals and those cadavers?".
I heard that he kidnapped SCP-573 and SCP-899 too. And he made hisself a home in a storage room of the foundation. Once the foundation sent a researcher called Dr. Hessen with SCP-729-J in her hand to a door which was blocked by SCP-303. As Hessen approached the door, the Doorman opened the door and let her pass before running away. Later he was found in the supply closet. Also he's capable to make himself almost invisible. But you still can describe in which pose he was.
Wait isn't one of those the pan piper and the other one the star eyed child is it me or something seems off about fact that only scps it ever stole was those ones only at the same time?

I think they have done three of those. Well I guess you could mean a different bell than the butler one, and I'm only *guessing* that you might be misremembering the 3d glasses as night vision, but the voice mimic lizards are definitely on the channel already. They have amnestic effects too.
@@icycoatl3185 The rusty bell, the one that gives you anxiety if you ring it. That bell didn't do anything in SCP:CB when I watched the game, so don't know how it works

It feels weird for it to be Euclid considering they have no idea how to contain it. It just happened to decide to stay on site. Expected it to be Keter. Edit: Apparently they added a second door to each room. Makes sense now. No one is actually ever trapped anymore. It still feels weird because that doesn't "contain" it either. Still deciding to stick around of its own volition.
Our dude's just waiting to use whatever room after the other people leave and stands at the door awkwardly like "You're not done yet? Ok. I'll be here. Waiting. 😬"
303 doesn't leave site 41, so technically site 41 is considered its containment area, and since every room has 2 doors it effects at the site has been minimized almost totally
By the way. Whenever a story starts out describing an ultimate bad-ass that is you go-to guy/gal for any dire situation, you know that character is destined to fall prey to whatever focus of that particular story is.
They need to make it so every door in the facility will open randomly every at most 5 minutes, or even less. This way we might see what might happen if the door opens on the doorman.

Yes. I will never get over the time my dog snuck into the bathroom and poked at the dark shower curtain with her nose. Those few heartbeats were indescribable. 😅
The fact that this channel, mainly the people who wrote the script for the narrator, said that ed, edd, eddy quote means that they grew up watching it, which makes me love this channel sooooo much more. Thank you for that
They could put SCP-682 in Site 41 and see what happens if it tries to have a containment breach. Or if 682 would even fear it. Also, I can't believe he made an Ed, Edd, n Eddy reference at the end. Just one more reason to continually watch these videos. Day 134 of asking the O5 to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
682 and 303 are both pretty uncooperative. I think the most likely outcome is they just don't interact with one another and there's really no way to make them. You're going to have a real hard time convincing 682 to open a door that *doesn't* have 303 behind it, or do just about anything else aside from kill everyone it sees. If you could force the interaction, 682 just modifies it's brain chemistry to turn it's fight-or-flight response into a fight response, so that it can only respond to an object of fear with violence. Or something along those lines.
I have gone through multiple other channels trying to find one to match this one but yall by far are my favorite to get my fill of scp's. Keep up the great work yall
Funny thing is that I actually had an experience similar to the effects of 303 when I was about 12ish. Something similar for me as well. I was laying in bed at night and heard a scraping sound on the tile underneath my bed. I was moving to check what it was when I heard a sort of bubbling gurgling sound, like something was choking. I was around 10 at the time and I just froze and began hitting on the wall since the room over was my older sisters room. Turns out she was in the shower so 30 minutes later she finds me crying in my room, too afraid to move. The sound had stopped by then and there wasn’t anything under the bed. I began sleeping in the living room after that.

You’re questioning THIS there is literally a statue that can snap you neck and that’s not even the weirdest scp and your questioning how a meat man with teeth can SEE
I think it should be left out that “if this thing got its hands on her, something horrific beyond description would happen to her”. I always thought the point of it was that it would instil a primal fear within the victim, even if they would not normally be afraid of something like that or worse. Also it should’ve been mentioned that the lower half of its body typically fades away when it should be fully visible.
I think that's why the quote was there. Even though SCP-303 shows no signs of doing anything, the instant assumption from the anxiety it causes is that it will do something awful
@@Jeb.07 'horrific beyond description' might have been a way to imply the D-class felt certain they would be assaulted or violated, without using it as shock value. Not that this channel needs shock value to be disturbing. 😁 They're subtle.
I think the point of the entity is that, even if you are the most battle-hardened Foundation member and have seen the most unimaginable horrors and gotten used to them, this thing still just puts fear into you, even if it’s not ACTUALLY as scary
Hence why that one guy was convinced he should under no circumstances open that cabinet door he believed 303 to be in, despite never actually seeing the entity
Being 14 and going from Shy Guy to this, was traumatizing. This guy is the guy that appears when I have to close my eyes to rinse off the shampoo. I'm sure of it.

Plot twist: The Doorman was simply there to let her know she forgot to take her towel off to take a shower
I was Reading scp's today few hours ago and this was one of them
Thx for making this!
I missed some content when reading and now i know more
I think it should be left out that “if this thing got its hands on her, something horrific beyond description would happen to her”.
@@HomekittyL2 nono but it doesn’t cause anxiety, it’s supposed to be pure, irrational fear.
SCP-303: "I WILL TEAR YOUR SOUL APART!!!...by standing behind this closet door"
Oh
He is trying to make coffee with that stuff
this is just my social anxiety. no I won't open my door to see who's there, I would rather die.
Should have made the "strike team" do the Ginyu force pose
Being 14 and going from Shy Guy to this, was traumatizing. This guy is the guy that appears when I have to close my eyes to rinse off the shampoo. I'm sure of it.
I love these subtle references you lot always seem to sneak in, Ed-boy.
Fun fact: watch scp explained and you will know when the doorman comes, your watching with no problems on your device and the doorman will break the device if he is near
What a coincidence I watch SCP Explained videos on my phone before bed
Before the ethics committee. The Foundation used to engage in unnecessary cruelty in their experiments. With the ethics committee, there's far more cruelty and more severe cruelty, but the ethics committee says it's ok because they can say it's necessary
0:34 who the fck would want to live ON BASE, in a SCP site
this is exactly why i say "scp 303 doorman" when i reach door 50 in doors
OH MY GODDESS YOU GOT ME SHOOK AT THE END OF THIS 😢

Yes this is where we know she has her priorities straight. Food first xD
Yeah true... I always get the feeling I'm watched.... Oh wait, I am actually watched by Google, Amazon and Facebook/Meta...
