So creative making you own cooking utensils. Sure that kind of thing takes time, but there is a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction in doing so.
A little challenging with the amount of seafood you had. I think a giant heavy duty plastic bag would’ve been the best way to mix the seafood with the pasta, since a large mixing bowl would be out of the question to bring.
So awesome that you guys had that entire beach to yourselves. It would’ve been awesome to see a time lapse of the tide change. One time my US Navy ship was moored in Panama in a Pacific port that had a 17’ feet tidal change (highest recorded is 22 feet).

      Hi Larry,
Great to hear from you and hope you are well. A time-lapse of the tidal movement would have been spectacular.
Any massive tidal change would fascinating to watch. What a neat experience it must have been to have been moored in Panama with such a huge tide.
We were fortunate to have had the beach all to ourselves… ‘hadn’t thought of a thick, heat-resistant plastic bag but that could have been an option.
Thank you for watching and take care. Cheers!

Everything about this video was great! First of all, loved the longer format. I know that it is a lot of work to put together a video, and the longer the video the more work involved-so thank you guys. I enjoyed the spatula making and fuel prep. The firebox in a “larger format” was fun to watch. How do you guys keep your meat cold in transport? I end up using a small cooler with ice pack, but really isn’t as packable as I’d like it to be.
Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!

Thank you so much for your comments, Andrew. Very appreciated and means a lot coming from you🙏. For packing meat, if it is well-frozen (preference is for a chest freezer) and the wrapped in paper. It thaws slowly in our packs away from any direct sun and can easily last a couple days. The paper is easily burned and we only have the plastic wrap to carry out. The seafood was cooked on day two of our trek. We do keep an eye on weather and if there is exceptional hot weather anticipated, will cook up meat sooner than later or only plan for dehydrated meals. Thank you again for your wonderful comments. Hope you are keeping well! Cheers!

I am doing well, thank you:-). I appreciate you sharing your method. Freezing it solid makes a whole lot of sense. It’s also a simple solution. I really do appreciate you guys sharing your adventures-always look forward to them:-). Recently, I’ve scaled back my UA-cam subscriptions because people want to overcomplicate getting out there and relaxing, or they are pushing a product that I don’t need. Love your approach-keep up the great work!

The scenery is beautiful. Loved hearing the splashing of the water, very powerful. The seafood meal looked delicious. Alot of work put into the making of utensils, building of the fire, prepping and cooking the meal. Awesome video.💜

Ok! Ok! - I subscribe already! (I've been lurking for quite a while). Good to see you're early adopters of the Freestyle (like me!) and you certainly give Steve (Despain - the inventor) a run for his money as gourmet camp chefs. Beautiful locations as well (I live in Galicia, Spain so I was particularly taken with your video on a terrace in Andalusia).
Great work - this channel deserves to grow quickly.

We use a titanium snow peak plate as our fry pan - incredible how tough those plates are in heat. Thank you again and take care!

One of my favorite channels! Always happy to receive a new video notification from you both. Is that a GSI Halulite Kettle youʻre using? Keep them coming, stay safe!

Thank you for the kind words! Your comment makes our day and we will certainly do our best to keep the videos coming. Yes, your observation is correct as it is the the GSI Halulite kettle. It has served us very well! Anodized aluminum is tough. Thanks so much for watching and take care!
