Haha, the fact that you go over there, set up the camera, go back again to film the process of getting over the river 🙏🏻 All in the details 🤩 Absolutely fantastic to see the many angles and continued focus on composition and storytelling. Love the small talks in the cabin as well, not too much and just enough to get a good feel for how much comfort like this can change a trip for the better. Well done once again my friend. I had to put on some extra logs on the fireplace when watching the end there 🤣 brr...
Thank you, Thomas😃 Yes, there were a few trips across the wire, but it was fun 🙌 It’s a bit unfortunate about all the footage I had filmed on the second day. For some reason, the gain button switched from + to -, and then there was no sound left 🤷♂️ The most important thing is that there was a film made, and that I captured the whole trip from start to finish. And yes, it was very cold that weekend🥶
Felt your thigh pain across the wire. I guess the third time was the worst. Makes for an adventure I guess. Great to watch this video whilst commuting to the city. Thank you....😊 dreaming......
Thank you 😃 It’s very fun to document the trips, especially knowing that there are people like you waiting for a new video to come out. It gets me off the couch and out into the mountains 🥶
Crossing bridges in winter is always a challenge. I did it once with the 2nd method, but I pulled backpack with the rope. For shots like this, drone in "tripod mode" is an easier solution, don't need to go back and force. Love DNT cabins - the best. On my last hike 6 days ago mice got to my meatballs at night 😂, I ended up throwing whole pack out. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the tip, I didn't think about that 😃 The cabins are perfect now that it's getting dark so early. No way! But I can understand why the mice did it 😁 Take care!
Old climber here. Respectfully suggest that you take a lightweight climbing harness with two safety teahers, one for yourself and one for your pack, should there be a question of bridges being out. As my climbing instructor told me years ago, never take a risk that you don’t have to. Also, don’t put your life at risk for a UA-cam scene.
@@johnbarron4713 I didn't take any chances crossing the wire, but it's a good suggestion you make 😃I climb on a weekly basis myself, so I know relatively well where the limits are 🧗
Nice Adventure video Mads. So this was the trip you talked about on the phone :) for me it was cool to see the infosign on the Heavy water saboteurs crossing. I really like the challenges like this, where mostly its about walk, eat, sleep. and film offcourse :) i have some projects myself this winter and the snow cant get here son enough :) thanks again! vi snakkas :)
Thanks😃 Yes, this was the trip I was talking about 🥾 Projects like this are very fun, but more challenging to document than a slow paced hike in the mountains where you have time and energy to film. I’m wondering when the snow is going to come. It’s about time now...
I love your videos, even tho this one went kinda unexpected with the crappy audio files. I've been to Norway Lillehammer this spring as well and I'd have loved to do some hiking and stuff as well but time was to short.
Thank you, that was nice to hear 😃 Yes, it was really frustrating with the sound. I’m left with over 30 minutes of content that I couldn't use. But, there’s a lesson in every mistake/error. I think you should plan a new trip to Norway/Lillehammer again. I’d be happy to help you with some trip suggestions ⛰️
The most important thing is that you get out on a trip. Fortunately, outdoor life is something you can enjoy as long as you live, and I think that’s wonderful 😉
The cover works relatively well, but the water freezes on the outside of the backpack even if you use the cover. I usually start with boiling water in the bottle, so I know it’s lukewarm by the time I’m ready to drink it ☺️
Hi. Thanks for a great video. Can I ask what thermal jacket and pants you are wearing in the video, time 05:40 when you are sitting and lighting the wood stove on the first night.
I wish! It would be so easy to document the trip if I had a camera crew with me, but it's also fun to do it on my own 😊 On this trip, I tried to reduce the weight as much as possible. I brought everything I needed to spend the night in the mountains if necessary-just for safety. But I estimate the pack weighed around 15 kg.
@@HikingHansen Oh yeah, no film crew; your way is much better; total different experience when you do your own filming and editing. Don't go soft; I'm still waiting on that endurance trip do over; skis, packs, and tents.

Beautiful winter landscapes coveret in snow. 😊😊😊 Great hike

The best technique was by far staying underneath the wire ☺️ I can confirm that it was heavy, especially the third time 😁
Wish you a great weekend 🙌
Great Adventure...thank you so much for getting out there and sharing your experiences...

I like seeing the sign about the Hero’s Of Telemark, looking forward to being there in March, retracing the route. Bra jobba
That’s going to be an interesting trip 👌
How many days do you think the trip will take?
@ 3 days, we are pulling an injured British Serviceman in a specially adapted pulk. We have 3 days Arctic training prior to deployment to the Vidda.
@briantinkerML Awesome! Do you need a camera man 🎥😊?
@@HikingHansen be good to see you if you’re about.
What a stunning episode man! Your content simply unmatched! Bravo
Thank you! It’s really nice to hear 😃 It’s comments like this that motivate me to continue creating content for UA-cam 🤜

I’m wondering when the snow is going to come. It’s about time now...
Wait, those are the coolest river crossings I've ever seen. I wonder if we have any of those in Canada.
There’s supposed to be a proper bridge there, but it’s taken down in the winter season. A wire is better than nothing 👌😃

That was quite the mini adventure Mads.
It was a demanding trip, but fun though 😁
Great video. 🙂👍❄️
Thank you very much, Stig 😃
@HikingHansen 👍
Enjoyed your video. I'm a smidgen jealous of your physical prowess. But then I probably have 40 years on you.

In Scandinavia, moose migrate from the mountains to the lowlands in the fall
It looked like the moose was grazing when I passed by. But yes, they are probably moving further down now that winter is coming.
Nice to see someone from my own hometown making gorgeous content! What are those pants you are using?
Thanks 🙌 Lillehammer is the place to be 🇳🇴 Are you thinking about the insulation pants? They are from Nanok (SF pant)
@HikingHansen Not those, but the ones you use when hiking.
@stiaro Klättermusen Brage 2.0 👌
@@HikingHansen Thank you!
Wonderful alone trip, I wish more people would see your relaxing contents, and enjoy it. Which backpack are you using here?
Thank you for the comment 😃 On this trip, I am using a backpack from SeekOutside. The model is called Unaweep
Thanks for your videos. Are fantastic! Technical question: how is the Nalgene sleeve performing in such low temperatures. Thanks a lot!
The cover works relatively well, but the water freezes on the outside of the backpack even if you use the cover. I usually start with boiling water in the bottle, so I know it’s lukewarm by the time I’m ready to drink it ☺️

Thank you! The insulation set is from the military. I believe the set is called Nanok SF.
👏❄️☃️⛰️👌🇳🇴🤠
I thought about it, but you make it look like someone is filming you; awesome job. Lot of work too. How heavy is your pack?

@ I’m definitely doing that trip again. Speed skiing Hardangervidda 2025, coming up 🫡
What is the face mask you used in video?
It’s the ColdAvenger Expedition Balaclava 😊
Gøy video og ser ut som et utrolig fin tur😍 men hva heter den sekken du bruker der? Den ser veldig god ut.
