      @@TheDerekFrank Thank you for your speedy response. I’m in California. I had a contractor come by; he told me the engineer and pulling permits will cost me $7500 and if I give him the job he’ll give me 50% off that cost back. The total project : Electricity hook up with no plumbing will cost approx. $50,000 dollars. The area is 10x20 feet. Do you think it’s excessive? Thanks.

    • @TheDerekFrank
      @TheDerekFrank  3 роки тому +1

      That sounds really excessive. Since mine is a non-permanent structure technically, it has a lot less permits and laws surrounding it. Might be worth checking with your local government on what permits are required and then tell the contractor or get another opinion

    Great video! I'm hoping to do something similar in my yard. Just curious, what are the dimensions of the shed, and now that you have it up and running, if you were starting from scratch, what would you do differently (besides the roof)?

    • @TheDerekFrank
      @TheDerekFrank  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching! It is 12x24. Besides the roof, I would have used a mini split unit for heat and air instead of a big portable unit. While mine works fine, it is loud and takes up a lot of space and isn't very efficient.

    Hi! I found you through Andrew Masters' channel. May I inquire about your guitar hanging mechanism? It looks like they're coming out at a 45 degree angle or thereabouts which is letting you put more guitars in a smaller space. I have typical wall hangers that has the guitars lying parallel to the wall, and I find I need more space. Of course, another approach to my dilemma is to recognize that I have too many guitars. But is it truly possible to have too many guitars?

    • @TheDerekFrank
      @TheDerekFrank  3 роки тому +1

      They are the Hercules GSP40SB. They are slat wall hangers and can be placed in several positions

    Nice. Question, how is the back wall behind you reacting to your mixes? I thought a position like that was not good? Idk

    • @TheDerekFrank
      @TheDerekFrank  3 роки тому

      Great question!! It is not the most ideal placement for mixing, but having panels on the wall and behind the monitors helps a lot. The best place for the desk would actually be along one of the 12' walls, but it eats up so much space in the middle of the room doing that.
