Ribble Steam Railway Spring Steam Gala 2018
Featuring guest loco No. 32 'Gothenberg' from the East Lancs Railway, as well as Grant Richie No. 272 and Hawthorne Leslie 'Linda'
Unlike previous galas, locos took trains on their own and each diagram would get a different loco on the return journey as one loco would stay at the stand road crossing end of the line, in previous years, locos simply top and tailed trains with one loco in drag.
I would fully recommend a visit to the Ribble Steam Railway, with the Bitumen freight operations, swing bridge and huge industrial loco collection, it is very interesting, characterful railway.
I would also like to thank all volunteers on the day who made this all possible.
