And whose to say the boyfriend didn’t bring or send some random girl in there to sign the paperwork. The fraud is a result of him providing the dealership with his exes personal information in order to finance his purchase. Per the ex girlfriend, he never asked her, nor did she agree to co-sign. So why did the ex boyfriend give her information for a co sign that she knew nothing about. The fraud started with him and leads me to believe he tricked the car dealership into believing he had a co signer. Like he has to be in on it. He didn’t thank his ex girlfriend for helping him out when he picked the kids up in the new car
@Tiff Turg exactly! The boyfriend brought a different person to sign for his Ex. The question is, how did he has her info? Did she give it to him and then backed out of the deal? Or did he have it all along...?

You can't arrest people for pricing things based on supply and demand. On something essential like food and water, this is gouging. For luxury items like new vehicles, they can price it however they like. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Pretty simple.
I'm in sales (but for cars, i still have a soul). Sadly, there's allot of salespeople like this. They get "pushed" to do whatever to get the sale. Management is the reason this happens. They need to audit this entire dealership, not just this young lady. I am sure they will find that everyone at this dealership, even the bosses, are guilty of this same practice! This poor young lady is getting hung out to dry for something that the dealership most certainly encouraged her to do. Sure, she clearly had a motive because she gets the commission, but the dealership gets the bulk of the sale, so who has a bigger incentive to promote and encourage this kind of thing? It's probably the reason the dealership did not terminate her employment immediately. They cannot really terminate her employment if they instructed her to cut corners this way. Signing documents like this is common practice at dealerships. Some years ago, because of the recession, I was let go from a job and I had trouble finding work in my profession.... Eventually, a friend or a friend got me a job at a Honda/Acura dealership in Queens, NY and I lasted only one day! The guy who was training me was training me on the art of cheating people and finding ways of getting them to buy a car, even if their credit was bad. I then saw this guy sell a mini van to a family who clearly could not afford it; and he gave him $800 bucks on a van trade-in that was also worth far more. It was heartbreaking to watch all this cheating! After seeing the sales people, all of them, cheat poor people by devaluing their trade-in's and forcing these same poor people into cars they could not afford, I just never went back! I was absolutely disgusted! I forfeited that wasted day's pay and decided that I would never go back and I didn't! There is no question that what this young lady did was wrong, but I am sure the dealership told her that it was not a big deal.

On Friday, Local 10 News learned the case has been closed and the charges dismissed.”
I knew someone that worked at a dealership in Boise Idaho and they made fun of, cheated, lied to, stole from every single person that walked through the door. It was a giant game to them. I told this individual that I could never do that to somebody and that showed a lot about his character. I no longer have anything to do with him.
The dealership obviously approves of these tactics as they didn’t fire her. They only put her on leave until the heat dies down. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re paying for her legal defense.
I just purchased a vehicle at a dealership and they tried to charge me twice the amount of state sales tax! Luckily I looked over all the documents and caught it and what they said was "just a simple error". Really Man? The upper management should get charged too. Unless you've worked at a stealership you wouldn't understand. Guaranteed this ain't the first time and managers know that
Unfortunately that’s how dealers operate. Comes from the top. Pressured to sell/close a deal or lose your job. That’s what you get with commission based sales and greedy dealer principles

White collar crime but wrong none-the-less. Hate to see her do 10 years while drug dealers, attempted robbery, armed robbery, etc with long rap sheet get 10 days in slammer and probation. She should lose her job but minimum 10 years jail time? NOPE! I don't feel that is warranted on this case especially with no other criminal history. Honestly, she just got a commission. She didn't steal the vehicle. The buyer agreed to the vehicle and cosigner is backup. Real criminal is the buyer who knowingly purchased a vehicle he couldn't afford or never intended to pay for, and defaulted on promise of loan only months later.
I've never experienced this, I've always bought cars and trucks from personal owners but older ones that I could work on myself and parts are easily accessible from parts stores. I don't want the payments and do not want to get into debt.

Glad I left the business. The pressure to make a sale by any means often leads to borderline criminal behavior at some dealerships. Trust no one, learn to haggle, and read everything.
Very true.
True i used to work at honda changing oil. A lot of the techs would "find" something wrong. Its disgusting what they do to make money.
I cursed one out and he came out the door begging me to go back. I went back only to face his supervisor doing the same crap. After that experience, I would always offer what I want and if it doesn't work, I'm out the door and never back again. I went to another dealership and got the same truck for 3K less without any haggling. The guy called me days after I bought the truck to come back to work out an offer. I just hung up on him.
Read everything? It is fools like you who create the sometimes insane confrontational atmosphere in a dealership. Wayment, so no one is going to talk about how the person got their EX to agree to be co-signer. I wouldn't agree to co-sign a rock for my ex.
😂😂😂 not a rockkk!

After seeing the sales people, all of them, cheat poor people by devaluing their trade-in's and forcing these same poor people into cars they could not afford, I just never went back! I was absolutely disgusted! I forfeited that wasted day's pay and decided that I would never go back and I didn't! No way a finance manager at a significant dealership is risking a 6 year job of getting some loser bought then not getting fired. There’s WAY more to this & I’ll leave it there.
She most likely done this many times
True story. The story stinks.
My thoughts exactly. We are missing a part of the story for sure
It is obvious:
She said the ex-wife came in and signed it with the man. The ex-wife was proven to be at work interstate. Folk on here are all 'aha!', but she may not be lying. The woman who came in and co-signed might be the man's new girlfriend.
@@Jimmy911ism the most plausible explanation so far.
Typical car business / dealer crap. All the internal dept's steal from each other, and at the same time, collude to rip the customer off. I was in that business for @40 years and am glad I'm out. I dread anytime I have to walk into a dealership or repair shop these days because I feel I need to take a shower after leaving
Yes a dealership wanted to charge $$$$ for unneeded repairs....and no pressure test. Thank goodness I have a good mechanic to expose these things.
@@YAHsWay who’s your mechanic? I live here in 441 and Miramar and Jesus christ I need someone reliable

Thank you for discussing the forensic process for this. It always makes these kind of stories much more interesting to listen to.
Ten year minimum sentence for each count without time off for good behaviour.
Lol. Rapists and murderers don't even get that.
She won’t see any jail time
@@killdizzle 😂🤣😂
Probation at most look at the name she in Florida
I THOUGHT THAT JESUS DIED AND PAID FOR HER SINS. SO, THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY JAIL TIME.
Years ago I cosigned for a motorcycle for my son, we agreeded to a a finance charge , when we asked to sign the contract the finance charge was triple., brought it to their attention before signing they said it was a typo and corrected contract. How many young adults signed with out reading contract?
😂🤣😂🤣😂 how was this going to end well? Ex's don't cosign for cars, the uncertainty of the past relationship alone should have been reason enough not to do this.
Whoa, finance manager? Finance managers make a ton of unearned money at dealerships like 250 grand
I guess the person that has bad credit due to a false loan signature should just FO as well.
You should rewatch the video. That isn't what happened at all.
I've never experienced this, I've always bought cars and trucks from personal owners but older ones that I could work on myself and parts are easily accessible from parts stores. I don't want the payments and do not want to get into debt.
Good move, and looking better all the time.
Thx for sharing. We'll all try to be like you.
The dealership system puts so much pressures on the commissioned employees. You will eventually be pushed to a point of no return. A desperate situation if you ain't strong, contented and careful.
Oh BS. There is more to this story. She’s not going risk her 200k a year career and prison time for this, for all we know this guy had another woman signing the paperwork with a fake id
@@khabbad Oh, you know her that well? I guess you’re also a better investigator than the police. Ever heard of greed?
@@baramis575 Buddy we have a thing called due process, just because your arrested doesn’t mean your guilty. It just seems odd that she would risk her career over peanuts like that.
And I don’t know what you mean about point no return and pressure by the dealerships. I’ve been selling luxury cars for year and every great salesman and saleswomen in this profession knows; under promise and over deliver, never lie, if you don’t know don’t guess and always give good customer service. If you have a good work ethic and live by those four rules you will be successful and have issues with “pressure”
A forced felony is how you see this? 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@djrdjr8888 lol poor her 😭 😂😂😂
I've gotten multiple cars from honest dealers, one way to avoid this is to come to the dealer with your own financing check in hand or cash, and banks are very specific about how to fill out the paperwork and don't mind being on the phone with you and the dealer while filling it out to make sure everything is accurate.
I have worked with my salesman for over 25 years and purchased many cars from him. He is honest and forthright. However, each time I paid for the car, in full, the finance person always tries to sell me extended warranties, rather aggressively. It is usually a very short conversation and off I go with my new vehicle.
This is almost as bad as stealing from customers and calling it a “market adjustment”.
u talking about the 5-15k covid mark ups on all cars?
She did it for
1. The Gram
2. The Nookie
3. Commission
4. None of the above

@@chrisdacrisis4670 “ The GRAM “ , Im 43 and that term has one meaning.
I was considering purchasing a vehicle here about a year ago. However, by the time you finally get an invoice, it is about 6k over advertised price, that they don’t mention upfront. I then read reviews, and they’re all terrible.
That literally just happened to my mom in Miami it was exactly 6k over the selling price by the time she drove it off the lot and didn’t realize until a week later and tried to redact it but couldn’t..
"They are looking to see if she's done this before"
Of course she did. No one gets a speeding ticket the very first time they speed. They've done it a bunch of times before finally getting caught.
