The rule is, who ever has the ball position, they are the one who can call a foul, the opponent cannot call a foul
I love your reaction. Why they are touching too much because they love each other. Filipinos are very loving people 😊😊😊
Gago HAHAHAHAHAHA
Hi Ovela, I am from Mindanao, but it's also my first time to see this very physical basketball, which is not following the internationally established rules.
hahahahaha! bigyan nio rin sila ng international standard basketball court bago ka bumoka ng rules² na yan
Not only in Mindanao but also in visayas region no blood no foul rules..
Not like this tho.
Im from Cebu. Our basketball is not like that. Foul is foul in Cebu
@@alfredocastro981@joshrillo In the city, yes, because most of the courts are already cemented. That's why you won't see this kind of rule. Only some parts of the city don't have cemented courts; mostly in the provinces. If you find a dirt basketball court, try to play or watch there. You will see this kind of rule because we can't dribble like on cement. So most of the time, we only pass the ball. Passing the ball and defending it will require more strength than you intended. That's why the defending team will think you're giving them a physical game, and they will reciprocate. Then it gets heated. That's why this kind of game/rule escalates.
@@morpheus3232Very true. If you're from rich neighborhood, don't even think about playing on a dirt court if you always depend on fouls. They will think you're soft, and they will be more aggressive towards you. Worst-case scenario, you will end up with a broken bone. I've already experienced it😁. But it's okay it will naturally heal in 3-6 months. I'm also from the city, by the way. If you're from a wealthy neighborhood, maybe you won't come across this kind of game.
Even in Luzon in mountain areas
Mr. Ovela this the answer for your question.
The city's name, originally Maynilad, is derived from that of the nilad plant, a flowering shrub adapted to marshy conditions, which once grew profusely along the banks of the river; the name was shortened first to Maynila and then to its present form.
Nilay .po
@@user-wr9wj6xl4c Nilad po is the right name -it's a flowering plant.
It's actually 'may nilad' as in "there is nilad here" to "Maynila" to "Manila."
we call that "no blood no foul rule".. try watching and reacting to what they call "one touch volleyball".. its really cool and requires soooo much skills...
8:20Manila or “Maynila” came from the words “May,” which means “there is” and “Nila,” which refers to a type of flower. There were once Nilad plants with beautiful white and yellow flowers that abundantly surrounded the newly built walls of Intramuros during the Spanish era.
Enjoy your vacation here sir Mr ovela. Welcome and mabuhay po.
Basketball in towns and province usually plays like no holds barred rule because of referee lack of knowledge on this game
Yes this is pretty much how most people play here. Im a shooter so i mostly play outside. Im tall enough to get a board but once you get down its an all out war😂
Reminds me of the time when I was in middle school, in a sports festival we had, there's a girls batch to play basketball and honestly I'm glad I'm just a bench warmer XD the amount of pushing, hugging and pulling hair just to get the ball was hoo boi~
Sports is sports by the end of the day 😂..usually in countryside people used to play basketball and just try making our own rules as long as no one will be badly hurt...normal game day 😂😂😂
Thats why l LOVE mindanao basketball
No easy basket
No friend
Just play
And be quick
This is normal of every part of the Philippines specially in mindanao... After the play we will be friends after all...
it's normal in my province, sir ,,
i miss the game like this😁
Hahahq hey Ovela ... Have you noticed they were playing with that cucunot tree's surrounded the whol court... Literal A Provide rule's 😉
Only in the Philippines. Pang ice tubig lang hehe
malalaki pusta nian
I used to play that rules in basketball
There was saying in the Philippine before if you dont want to hurt don't play basketball you better play chess 😂
The rules is the same as the professional basketball rules but the thing here is no referees only body contact and then players calls a foul. The game is who makes 13 points first wins the game. But the most hilarious thing is players foul you intentionally rather than you make a points and lost the bet 😂 so there you go hard physical foul is more often. The only rules that is stands the most is whoever throws punches first losses the game.
They have referee
Who give decision
If there are discussions on both sides
That basketball game called half court kalabawan. Its is normal in provinces. Cuz i am a player like this also.
no rules but to win😀
No, and your right it's a beautiful game, that's why they hug a lot and love its other on court😂. But hey, they announced the winner so everything is on point a gentleman's game, no fighting. We play a lot like that too in my days and it's okay the adrenaline rush two sports at a time.
This mostly happened in the province, most Filipino had a bulky body because they are farmer , the rule we call it in bisaya foul sungo ( no blood no foul ) it's like playing American football but basketball lol
I was born to this kind of basketball before in my highschool days no blood no foul😅😅😅😅🎉🎉🎉🎉
Usually this style of game is played in the province 😂
Manila came from the word maynilad, its the name of a grass found in that place. According to the old story, a spaniard ask a native what is the name of this place
A native thought that the spaniard is asking the name of tne grass because his finger is pointing at it, so the native replied thats maynilad its the name of the grass. So the spaniard call that place maynilad and as time goes by it became maynila or manila.
You really need to have a strong body. You need to win even if your body hurts, it's normal to have a bump.
If visit here in ph try to play basketball like that
Yes its true, no blood no foul, thats how we play here in mindanao, rural area
These are better than NBA's no blood no foul rules in 80s.
Please react to Katrina Velarde's cover of Ain't no way by Aretha Franklin. I think she's the only filipina to cover this song that's uploaded in youtube as far as I know.
Del pilar maybe a family name or a name of a place. Spanish names and surnames are widely use here in Ph..
This kind of basketball game is also locally called robo-robo.. body to body
Sumbagay is Fist Fight
Humana/human is end in english
Foul sungo 😂😂
Yes as you can see it's half court 3x3 basketball and who had the ball he is the only one can call foul that is the rules of them and they don't have ref. It defend of the same team if they are agree with the call 👌
thats what you call as no harm no foul kind of a game its an extreme kind of ballgame the height of the board is 10 feet
That is Filipino basketball rough and physical and if You get get hurt by the Physicality they will add insult by saying If You don't like the physicality play chess.😊
For mediate and junior only 😂😂😂😂😂 pag adult di namn ganyan. Unless mga basagulero ang naglalaro
this game if you angry you lose...wwe basketball
Its always happen everywhere in the philippines its only natural and common in pilipinos to play a basketball with might and force to get the ball. And only the one that holds the ball can demand a foul. In the end of the game , no one both parties have a winner its always a tie because of the high tension of a rival group.
it seems like some of them are armys..the one who shout out the 48th IB
yes Del Pilar is a Spanish surname we got during Spanish occupation.
It's basket ball with the touch of Europian football mix😂
Eventhough you know how to dribble and all other dribbling technique if the guy is hugging you ---- you can't....
Yes its true in the province basketball w/MMA skills😅😅😅
well that's typical, in most regions there are unique non foul moves no body would dare allow in the nba.... the safest zone in Filipino street basketball is behind the arc, once you go deaper towards the rim, that's a literalwar zone..
💪
In the Philippines we have UNLI-RICE offered in some restaurants, basketball like this has UNLI-FOUL, and nobody fouls out. Bets are placed. They sometimes bet from P1,000 to P10,000 pesos and sometimes for Coca-Cola. After some games, it's a fistfight
hardcore basketball. mindanao rule😅
Here in ph, no blood no foul
Only in mindanao
Only the one who's in possession of the ball can call a foul whenever he wants. That is mostly the rules of the locals in the countryside.. No blood no foul, i've tried playing with some locals on my province, i ended up with a broken ribs 😅
I watched you on showtime.
Ovela I saw you at the airport 😍😂
in Mindanao when you play rough then you must be tough physically and emotionally.
Carabao basketball specially at the people living at a mountain side without knowing sometimes rules of the game.
after the game, those two guys played boxing basketball inside the ring.
Manila comes from "may nilad" in Tagalog, which means "there is nilad." Nilad is a flowering mangrove plant that used to grow in the area. The name changed to "Maynila" and eventually "Manila now. As for why Manila became the capital of the Philippines- When the Spanish colonizers arrived in the Philippines in the 16th century, they chose Manila as the capital because of its natural harbor, which made it a great location for trade and transportation. Besides, Manila was an essential hub for administering and controlling the Spanish colony in the Philippines due to its strategic position. Over time, Manila grew into a significant political, economic, and cultural center, cementing its status as the capital of the Philippines. Even after the Philippines gained independence from colonial rule, Manila remained the capital city.
It's a game that will test your temper
That is called basketbrawl..😃😁😆😂🤣
The height is regular basketball court
no referee and its not a violation if you dont call it! you can call, foul, travel or out of bounds; and these calls can be contested by the other team. when someone calls for foul, it is almost always is really a foul. if the contested call could not be resolved, then it will be settled with a free throw. if shooter makes the shot, they get possession, miss and its the other team's possession. so simple right?
3on3 here in Mindanao are no referee.
When I was a kid, my two brothers were basketball players. There was no game without blood. So I told myself I'd never have a bf who plays that game.
8:29 because of a certain plant that once thrived there.
NO HOLDS BARRED, BRO!
Only the one who holding the ball could ask for foul violation but he can ignores hard hitting hands given by his opponent anytime. So, no punching in the face or else you may lose the game.
That game LARJ team are the visitors and the del pilar team are playing in the home court and that refs are also live in there, so he do have many calls in the favors of del Pilar 😁
Don't be shocked it's Normal in the Philippines 😂
That's basketball broo but only in Mindanao you can't see like that in Other City in the Philippines only in Mindanao they play like That❤❤❤
No blood no foul rule, only apply in 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3
Im a Filipino and i can say that this is not what we play basketball.
That's a blooded game
Mixed Martial Basketball
You should have a very HIGH patience and endurance to play this 3on3 😂😂😂
Playing basketball in province is more physical no rules. But u can call foul for your self if u feel or get hurt. Even only ice water or cold water on the line😂😂
No blood, no foul rule
As long as they don't say foul no foul because they need to score every point is very need of them..even without. Balk they will hopd because if they don't maybe they can shot and score. It's a new game here b4 it's not like that we have mamy games of basketball here
Thats they called in my Country,. FULL CONTACT BASKETBALL without REFEREE... No Blood, No Foul... Lol..
somewhere in Mindanao i think
standard 10ft
Honest game no referee
Because of a thousand bucks bet..
Its point base 15 points I think..... And that how you play street basketball only one goal 😊
Hi ovela 🎉🎉 my husband plays like that her in Mindanao, davao city,😂😂😂 I donk like that it's hurt him
By the way that team is boss larj, known for that 3x3 wrestling hahaha
If didn't understand how it is maybe you don't know the whole, of course they no how to dribble and doing the same thing about basketball on the U,S, basically this is the way to train hard to put the basket on the rim, it's not soft basketball it's hard basketball, no gain no pain, no blood no foul rule Do you understand?
Thats what called (no blood no foul 😂😂😂)
We love that kind of basketball
Any player punch opponent lost automatic thats the rule
no blood no foul 😂
please react Missioned Souls/ Dangerouse by Roxette/ Family Band
they need medicine after they play😂😂😂
Basketball with no rules just play it. Same with volleyball and one kick soccer. Its a street game here in tye province. For sure they bet for cold water. Hahahaha losers will buy cold water for the winners.
Mindanao basketball is different. Its a controlled call game.if they know it is basket they will not call any foul even if you will hit or lock him hard if the shooter sees its a basket he will not call.did you not observe they call foul if it is turn over or intercepted even if he is hit not too hard.they control the call it doesnt matter how hard you hit him if he knows its basket upon shooting.crossover is useless opponet will lock you up.
Wrestling ball that's the called,in province of phill, its normal to prove you stand whatever what happened 😂😂😂
that is a modern mayan basketball..
Also called kalabaw basketball
😂😁🤣😂😆
We also have that kind of plays here in Luzon.
DEl Pilar could ba a surname. One of our heroes' name Is del Pilar. Marcelo H. Del Pilar.
Basketball + Sumo = Sumoball 🏀
It's normal basketball in the province in Mindanao . I'm from Mindanao that's why I know it 😂😂😂. After that they're still friends . And doing shat some bottles of beer 🍺. Yes no ramble of basketball it's boring. It's exciting if there's fighting 😂😂😂 . This is fan beacuse after that they need to fix their bones if still okey 😅😊.
