How to configure the mic jack on JVC 170U

Here's an answer a viewer question about using the auxiliary port on the JVC HM170U. This should also work for the HM200 and the GY-LS300 since the menu system and layout of the cameras is pretty much identical. The auxiliary port is the mic jack at the back of the camera where you can plug in a 3.5mm or 1/4 inch mic.
