BRIEF UPDATE THURSDAY 6/20/24: Hello, everyone. 🤗 Dan is home from the hospital and has a wonderful hospice support team in place, as well as old, dear friends, and family, who have been a monumental help at a pivotal time. And, as always, his amazing online 🐼 friends/family who are such a comfort to us , just knowing you’re here and you care, even if we can’t interact with you all as we would dearly love to do. Dan is so happy to be home, in his own bed, looking out over the sea of trees, with Vanilli perched on his chest, purring and making biscuits. He has everything he needs to be physically comfortable, and all the food he enjoys. I will include a “unspoken wish” of his (not about his health) that I know is dear to his heart, for those who pray. Thank you. 🙏💕 And I will pray that you all will prosper every way, and that your fondest wishes will be realized. All is well, and all is well And all manner of things are well. ❤️🙏🤗🐼❤️
Oh thank you soooo much for this update! I feel like I have been touched by two angels! ❤❤❤I am overjoyed that Dan is home in his home with everyone he loves pouring in and little Vanilli. BRIEF UPDATE MONDAY 6/17/24: Hello, everyone. I’m sorry to be so long getting back with you! Friday, a doctor visit for a minor procedure unexpectedly turned into an emergency hernia surgery Friday night. Dan tolerated the surgery well, and is on antibiotics, and some evening pain meds. We’re in the process of getting hospice running, and taking care of logistical things, and family, so I have just not been able to be online with all of you until now. Dan has his usual great appetite and enjoys his food, which is great to see. Hope to catch up with you soon. All blessings. 🤗🙏❤️

When they say rest in peace. Where do they want that person to rest in peace ? But people get angry so i just try not to get anyone angry with me. I would never push anyone or ask anyone to believe in what I do. Just as I ask others I guess not to ask me not to believe in what I do. I'm as I've said before not a ultra religious person. Though again I wouldn't judge those that are. I'm kinda all over the place still figuring things out. But after I just had to say see you later to my mom. I guess I needed to believe that heaven is real. That I will one day see and hold her again. But I would never ask or push it on someone else. Respect. I totally understand. UPDATE THURSDAY, 6/6/24: Hello, kind people. 🤗🐼 Dr. Dan is at the clinic receiving iron and saline fluids this morning. He is still fatigued and his blood pressure is a bit low, so he’s feeling a little wobbly. His cough is negligible. His liver enzymes are normal, pancreatic enzymes elevated, albumin low. I don’t anticipate he will be up to a livestream or video in the near future, but your goodheartedness, expressed in so many ways, is something we continue to be grateful for. All the best to all of you. ❤️

@@tanamilani Such loving hearts we are blessed with, in you and so many others! I am so sorry you are feeling sad. 🤗 I can’t remember what we were talking about yesterday, but Dan told me his simplified version of the Chinese farmer and the horse. I’ll post the Alan Watts version of it below. Basically, the story is always bigger than we can comprehend at the time. And then I told him about tapestries and embroidery. Dan has faced many times when it seemed he just wouldn’t make it over the last three years. Today his dad and I got to sit on the balcony with him again! We just parlay one day into the next as they come. Today Whole Foods had Rainier cherries, and he got to eat some! So special, since our home in Washington State, where he was born, had a panoramic view of Mount Rainier. So many memories that brought up. We ate like kings in beautiful Western Washington. 😊 I got him a hearty sandwich to eat during his infusion, and I had to take a picture of him chowing down with gusto. I had a wonderful conversation with his brother, Mark. So encouraging. Sick as he’s been, Dan reminds me to eat and get sleep, because sometimes I forget. And he just plain never complains, feels sorry for himself, or judges others, so how can I do less? These are just some things that stand out to me today.
BRIEF UPDATE (IT’S LATE) 6/12/24: Dan’s CT showed progression of disease and metastasis, and his clinical trial has been discontinued. His increase in debility of late makes him ineligible for further experimental treatments, and hospice palliative care is the only medical option, in his doctor’s opinion. This was not unexpected he told his doctor, who has been wonderful, as also the clinic staff. His plans are in the “rough-in” stage, to use an electrician’s term, and include enrolling in hospice and closing his clinic. He is not giving up, but, as usual, is dispassionately making the best choices he can from what is available. He said, “Mom, this is just a different kind of chaos.” We gave each other the side eye and a slight, wry grin and nod. We’ve gotten way good at chaos, and I’m sure many of you have also. Clarissa Estes calls it the “Scar Clan.” So I guess we’re the Panda Scar Clan. Sacred Hearts. Still Standing. I sat on the balcony watching fireflies and listening to night sounds this evening and I thought about what Einstein said about imagination being more important than knowledge, and it seemed clear to me that it is a very big balcony, indeed, and that a great many sweet souls are there too, in quantum entanglement that just irreducibly, inarguably *is*. And I liked that very much. And I thought about Dan sitting in the living room this afternoon, resting his head on his hand because he’s so tired, speaking the things he’s thankful for out loud (including you). And I liked that very much. And now I feel very peaceful, and I hope you do, too. ❤️🙏🤗🐼❤️
😢 have you considered alternative medical opinions? What about radical surgery? Metformin and rapamycin and ivermectin and other repurposed drugs like mebendazole? This is terrible news and I hope Dan will continue fighting. I am personally terrified at what lies ahead but at the same time in awe of his valour in the face of such chaos.
Sorry to hear this... Idea's out of LoVe Has Sirt 6 activator by DoNotAge been considered? It can act as a tumour suppressor in some cancers *needs checking first for Dan's specific cancer might have positive or negative effect from sirt 6 activation. If it is said to suppress dans cancer I'd go for it and find out if I could mega dose on it. Tried Fenbendazole? dostarlimab? I would take magic mushrooms for escapism, anti anxiety. Cannabis for pain off chance it helps....

UPDATE Sunday, 6/2/24: I hope this finds everyone well! Last week was busy, with four clinic appointments-immunotherapy and labs-and Dr. Dan is still feeling very fatigued, and was not up to doing a livestream this weekend. He is sleeping better, getting lots of sunshine, doing light walking, but still having to experiment to keep his digestion happy. He is coughing rarely. This week he has labs on Wednesday and a CT on Friday. Thank you all again for your prayers, care, concern and sharing. I pray your kindness comes back to you all a hundred fold. 💯 ❤️🐼🙏🤗❤️
That’s good news! Tell Dr. Dan that he is in my thoughts as I train for the Des Moines Marathon this October. When the going gets tough I think of his positive energy and I continue to put one foot in front of the other. 🐼💙💪

UPDATE MONDAY, 6/10/24: Hello, everyone! 🤗🐼 Today on the way to Dan’s rescheduled CT in Roundrock, we saw a doe with a spotted fawn. Now, on the balcony at sunset, I see big thunderclouds with bright silver linings, and just now the rain starts in earnest! Change is the only non-variable. Dan is still very fatigued, but still able to eat and enjoy his food, and we’re enjoying watching the special on The Blue Angels. The son of Dan’s most wonderful neighbors down the hall was a Blue Angel. I can only imagine how his mom felt! 😬 This is shaping up as a week of decisions, and Dan is calmly and methodically assessing his options. He went to bed at 6:30, and I patted his knee and said, “Dan, you’re my hero.” He said, “Mom, you’re mine.” It doesn’t get any better than that, and all the feudin’ and fussin’ and afightin’ (that’s an old song) “out there” can’t touch it. Y’all are wonderful, and I appreciate you so much! I will keep in touch! ❤️🙏🐼🤗❤️

Watching after his passing is surreal.Feels like he is still alive. Every video, he focus on others. His muscle wasting got worse after surgery. I hate cancer. So much suffering before dying for the patient and love once.
I am retired and disabled, and my health is worsening quickly. Unfortunately I have no family, and also No friends in my life. My fear is I will die and not Be found in my apartment till my rent is due. I’ve Just discovered Dan’s story, and he was an Incredible man. I’m glad he had people he loved, who loved him in the end. He was blessed. And His videos are really touching.
Go make some friends what are you waiting for. I'm sure there's a lot of people who would love to be your friend they just don't know It yet. You never have to be alone. There's always someone there to love you ❤
@@richardcollejr.5121 As people get older, they have less energy and already have their circle of friends and family. I moved to a small town of 7500 and after 2 years, haven’t made a friend. I can’t do much in a wheelchair, so it’s not like when I was young and could join a hiking club. The only thing left to try is church, but I’m an atheist so I don’t want to be exposed to the pressure to convert. Im sure it would be easier if I was mobile. There is a group of volunteers for the state park here. And a group for the lighthouses. But I’m not physically able to do what they do. And I’ve talked to them and they have nothing for me.
So nice of your support, thank you, he deserves it & needs us all. Yes sure is!! I hope he keeps fighting this & improving! He is such a wonderful person and wish we had a magic wand to cure him! Brakes my heart and fear for him but want to see him turn that corner & be on the mend!! Xx

@@RoyalPurpleStar 100%. I am sure she is nice as pie but I was a bit taken aback at her quip. That is exactly what she was thinking and had zero filter today. After my mTBI, I lost some of my filter- I sometimes still shock myself but not sure I would say that. In my case it was probably good to get a bump on my head. I was a bit uptight before- now I am less so. I am also quicker to call people out like I just did here. Before I would not have said anything.

@joelalain Hello. I did my treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. I did Keytruda and Pembolin, and I am probably spelling it wrong, but your oncologist will know. Keytruda was the immunotherapy, and Pembolin was targeted therapy.. I also did radiation. I hope this helps. Please ask me anything.

jesus is dead. He could not help himself, let alone anyone else. Let us remain within the science for nothing else will help anyone. Test it. Do not go to the doctor and see what happens. No jesus will give you immunotherapy, or antibiotics. And without them, jesus and 'god' will leave you to hang high until you dry out. That is a time-tested and proven fact.
I know someone that was on immunotherapy for stage 4 colon cancer that went into remission after 12 months and he did a bunch of things in a protocol. I also have stage 4 cancer and doing a lot of things as well and met him through my channel. I don’t see a private way to message you, so if you are interested to know what he did in terms of diet/supplements/lifestyle etc let me know and I can share. Your mindset and attitude is amazing and so inspiring to see and I 100% believe you will make a remarkable recovery and will beat it. Keep up with what you are doing and keep finding things that will help. I am rooting for you!
I haven’t commented before, but I have been moved and uplifted by Dr. Dan’s amazing positivity and the exemplary way he embraces life. He seems like such a good soul. I hope hospice can forestall suffering and enable him to enjoy his remaining time. So wonderful to see how he is loved. I wish him peace.

Sometimes I have the feeling, they don't even seem to know what cancer is about! Or are they so easily manipulated by Dr Dan and his mother? Yes. He is a business man and he will not change his strategy of telling people what they want to hear. The tumors are everywhere in his body and they spread, but he says as usual, that he improves and is getting better. Typical "motivational coach" sermon. We don't know when this last video was recorded. People are blind.

Absolutely wonderful to see you. Prayers continue going up. My husband had his esophagectomy and will now go on immunotherapy for one year once a month. Any advise would be much appreciated. Dan just a quick comment. I originally came across your channel a long time ago seeking out info for back and knee problems and I found your content super helpful. So I was truly saddened when you made us aware of your current situation, but truthfully the positivity, optimism coupled with pragmatism you've demonstrated since the start is truly truly inspiring. I've never met you obviously, I'm a 55 year old man originally from Scotland but living and working in Hong Kong so many thousands of miles away and yet you have the easy going demeanour of an old friend. In short you're a class act mate, doing things on your own terms and in your own way and for that alone you have my uttmost respect. I remember when the late great Norm McDonald was talking about this he said how much he hated when the newspapers said that such and such a person had "lost their battle with cancer" Norm said he called total bs on that. He said you either ultimately get rid off it in which case you win, or succumb to it in which case since the cancer can't survive without you "its at the very least a draw I'd say" 😂

Watching this reminds me of hearing other patients saying they were doing really good actually feeling a lot better and then all of a sudden they were gone... I think it's pretty common to feel real good right before it hits, towards the end, it's kind of like a bad trick to the family members I went through when my mom had lung cancer. She got the feeling a whole lot better the last couple of months but then we got the bad news from the scans. 💔😢😢

I'm here because of the C word generating a lot of money while other chronic illnesses struggle to get by. The C word means drama and entertainment for the masses. To watch these group dynamics is amazing. Mama Panda is talking to the community like a cult leader. Dan is getting more and more mystified by the masses and his mother. Mama Panda is witnessing that there are some non deluded individuals, maybe 10 people ( not only me! ). So she deletes the threads of those on a regular basis. That's also very fascinating to watch. I hurt my back 1 week ago, and decided to try out Dr Dan's "The Fixable Back" course and it has been wonderful so far. But I watch with a heavy heart, knowing that his great work has come to a far-too-premature close. May Dan be so surrounded by so much love as he continues to live his best life as always.

Your attitude is so beautiful with you and your mom finding light hearted moments at tough times. My 85 year old Aunty had surgery for bowel cancer. She has a stoma bag. She calls it her Gucchi bag. She said it is a miracle how it works. She says it saved her life. And she says that was her biggest fear having to live with that, but her attitude has now changed. She is now cured and is such a positive inspiring person.

BRIEF UPDATE THURSDAY 6/20/24: Hello, everyone. 🤗 Dan is home from the hospital and has a wonderful hospice support team in place, as well as old, dear friends, and family, who have been a monumental help at a pivotal time. And, as always, his amazing online 🐼 friends/family who are such a comfort to us , just knowing you’re here and you care, even if we can’t interact with you all as we would dearly love to do.
Dan is so happy to be home, in his own bed, looking out over the sea of trees, with Vanilli perched on his chest, purring and making biscuits.
He has everything he needs to be physically comfortable, and all the food he enjoys. I will include a “unspoken wish” of his (not about his health) that I know is dear to his heart, for those who pray.

BRIEF UPDATE MONDAY 6/17/24: Hello, everyone. I’m sorry to be so long getting back with you! Friday, a doctor visit for a minor procedure unexpectedly turned into an emergency hernia surgery Friday night. Dan tolerated the surgery well, and is on antibiotics, and some evening pain meds. We’re in the process of getting hospice running, and taking care of logistical things, and family, so I have just not been able to be online with all of you until now. Dan has his usual great appetite and enjoys his food, which is great to see.

UPDATE THURSDAY, 6/6/24: Hello, kind people. 🤗🐼 Dr. Dan is at the clinic receiving iron and saline fluids this morning. He is still fatigued and his blood pressure is a bit low, so he’s feeling a little wobbly. His cough is negligible. His liver enzymes are normal, pancreatic enzymes elevated, albumin low. I don’t anticipate he will be up to a livestream or video in the near future, but your goodheartedness, expressed in so many ways, is something we continue to be grateful for. All the best to all of you.

I can’t remember what we were talking about yesterday, but Dan told me his simplified version of the Chinese farmer and the horse. I’ll post the Alan Watts version of it below. Basically, the story is always bigger than we can comprehend at the time. And then I told him about tapestries and embroidery.
Dan has faced many times when it seemed he just wouldn’t make it over the last three years.
Today his dad and I got to sit on the balcony with him again! We just parlay one day into the next as they come. Today Whole Foods had Rainier cherries, and he got to eat some! So special, since our home in Washington State, where he was born, had a panoramic view of Mount Rainier. So many memories that brought up. We ate like kings in beautiful Western Washington. 😊
I got him a hearty sandwich to eat during his infusion, and I had to take a picture of him chowing down with gusto. I had a wonderful conversation with his brother, Mark. So encouraging.
Sick as he’s been, Dan reminds me to eat and get sleep, because sometimes I forget. And he just plain never complains, feels sorry for himself, or judges others, so how can I do less?
These are just some things that stand out to me today.
BRIEF UPDATE (IT’S LATE) 6/12/24: Dan’s CT showed progression of disease and metastasis, and his clinical trial has been discontinued. His increase in debility of late makes him ineligible for further experimental treatments, and hospice palliative care is the only medical option, in his doctor’s opinion.
This was not unexpected he told his doctor, who has been wonderful, as also the clinic staff.
His plans are in the “rough-in” stage, to use an electrician’s term, and include enrolling in hospice and closing his clinic.
He is not giving up, but, as usual, is dispassionately making the best choices he can from what is available.
He said, “Mom, this is just a different kind of chaos.” We gave each other the side eye and a slight, wry grin and nod. We’ve gotten way good at chaos, and I’m sure many of you have also.
Clarissa Estes calls it the “Scar Clan.” So I guess we’re the Panda Scar Clan.
Sacred Hearts. Still Standing.
I sat on the balcony watching fireflies and listening to night sounds this evening and I thought about what Einstein said about imagination being more important than knowledge, and it seemed clear to me that it is a very big balcony, indeed, and that a great many sweet souls are there too, in quantum entanglement that just irreducibly, inarguably *is*. And I liked that very much.
And I thought about Dan sitting in the living room this afternoon, resting his head on his hand because he’s so tired, speaking the things he’s thankful for out loud (including you). And I liked that very much.
And now I feel very peaceful, and I hope you do, too.

😢 have you considered alternative medical opinions? What about radical surgery? Metformin and rapamycin and ivermectin and other repurposed drugs like mebendazole? This is terrible news and I hope Dan will continue fighting. I am personally terrified at what lies ahead but at the same time in awe of his valour in the face of such chaos.

It can act as a tumour suppressor in some cancers *needs checking first for Dan's specific cancer might have positive or negative effect from sirt 6 activation. UPDATE Sunday, 6/2/24: I hope this finds everyone well! Last week was busy, with four clinic appointments-immunotherapy and labs-and Dr. Dan is still feeling very fatigued, and was not up to doing a livestream this weekend.
He is sleeping better, getting lots of sunshine, doing light walking, but still having to experiment to keep his digestion happy. He is coughing rarely.
This week he has labs on Wednesday and a CT on Friday.

UPDATE MONDAY, 6/10/24: Hello, everyone! 🤗🐼 Today on the way to Dan’s rescheduled CT in Roundrock, we saw a doe with a spotted fawn. Now, on the balcony at sunset, I see big thunderclouds with bright silver linings, and just now the rain starts in earnest! Change is the only non-variable.
Dan is still very fatigued, but still able to eat and enjoy his food, and we’re enjoying watching the special on The Blue Angels. The son of Dan’s most wonderful neighbors down the hall was a Blue Angel. I can only imagine how his mom felt! 😬
This is shaping up as a week of decisions, and Dan is calmly and methodically assessing his options.
He went to bed at 6:30, and I patted his knee and said, “Dan, you’re my hero.” He said, “Mom, you’re mine.” It doesn’t get any better than that, and all the feudin’ and fussin’ and afightin’ (that’s an old song) “out there” can’t touch it.

@@richardcollejr.5121 As people get older, they have less energy and already have their circle of friends and family. I moved to a small town of 7500 and after 2 years, haven’t made a friend. I can’t do much in a wheelchair, so it’s not like when I was young and could join a hiking club. The only thing left to try is church, but I’m an atheist so I don’t want to be exposed to the pressure to convert.
Im sure it would be easier if I was mobile.
There is a group of volunteers for the state park here. And a group for the lighthouses. But I’m not physically able to do what they do. And I’ve talked to them and they have nothing for me.
I'm no rocket scientist but being hungry is a good sign. You look great Dr. Dan. Keep going!!

After my mTBI, I lost some of my filter- I sometimes still shock myself but not sure I would say that. In my case it was probably good to get a bump on my head. I was a bit uptight before- now I am less so. I am also quicker to call people out like I just did here. Before I would not have said anything.

@joelalain Hello. I did my treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. I did Keytruda and Pembolin, and I am probably spelling it wrong, but your oncologist will know. Keytruda was the immunotherapy, and Pembolin was targeted therapy.. I also did radiation. I hope this helps. Please ask me anything.

Test it. Do not go to the doctor and see what happens. No jesus will give you immunotherapy, or antibiotics. And without them, jesus and 'god' will leave you to hang high until you dry out.
That is a time-tested and proven fact.

I know someone that was on immunotherapy for stage 4 colon cancer that went into remission after 12 months and he did a bunch of things in a protocol. I also have stage 4 cancer and doing a lot of things as well and met him through my channel. I don’t see a private way to message you, so if you are interested to know what he did in terms of diet/supplements/lifestyle etc let me know and I can share.
Your mindset and attitude is amazing and so inspiring to see and I 100% believe you will make a remarkable recovery and will beat it. Keep up with what you are doing and keep finding things that will help. I am rooting for you!

I haven’t commented before, but I have been moved and uplifted by Dr. Dan’s amazing positivity and the exemplary way he embraces life. He seems like such a good soul. I hope hospice can forestall suffering and enable him to enjoy his remaining time. So wonderful to see how he is loved. I wish him peace.

When my time comes I’ll remember you and the positive energy you gave us. I only wish I could give you some more strength to hold on longer. Stage 4 here myself and I am so sorry to hear that your progression hasn't stopped. I also decided to start a UA-cam channel to document my journey as well as inspire other cancer patients out there feel free to check it out. I first electronically “met “Dr. Dan just a few weeks ago and the morning that I feel as if we were lifelong friends. Thankful to have found this channel and condolences to the family.
Absolutely wonderful to see you. Prayers continue going up. My husband had his esophagectomy and will now go on immunotherapy for one year once a month. Any advise would be much appreciated. Esophageal cancer is not the greatest but we are keeping a very positive attitude - you are an inspiration to us. God bless❤️

Dan just a quick comment. I originally came across your channel a long time ago seeking out info for back and knee problems and I found your content super helpful.
So I was truly saddened when you made us aware of your current situation, but truthfully the positivity, optimism coupled with pragmatism you've demonstrated since the start is truly truly inspiring.
I've never met you obviously, I'm a 55 year old man originally from Scotland but living and working in Hong Kong so many thousands of miles away and yet you have the easy going demeanour of an old friend.
In short you're a class act mate, doing things on your own terms and in your own way and for that alone you have my uttmost respect.
I remember when the late great Norm McDonald was talking about this he said how much he hated when the newspapers said that such and such a person had "lost their battle with cancer" Norm said he called total bs on that. He said you either ultimately get rid off it in which case you win, or succumb to it in which case since the cancer can't survive without you "its at the very least a draw I'd say" 😂

Watching this reminds me of hearing other patients saying they were doing really good actually feeling a lot better and then all of a sudden they were gone... I think it's pretty common to feel real good right before it hits, towards the end, it's kind of like a bad trick to the family members I went through when my mom had lung cancer. She got the feeling a whole lot better the last couple of months but then we got the bad news from the scans. 💔😢😢

You have made us all so aware of the good things in a person's day and of course it goes both ways. When one is kind to others it keeps coming back and then paid forward. Beautiful territory, Dr. Dan! I’m a bone cancer patient on Revlimid 15 mg. I had a stem cell transplant last year; still cancer free. I follow you because of your incredible strength and attitude. The cards are what they are; just up to how we play them now. From your post, I’m also changing my diet to deny cancer cells the glucose they need. thank you.

I hurt my back 1 week ago, and decided to try out Dr Dan's "The Fixable Back" course and it has been wonderful so far. But I watch with a heavy heart, knowing that his great work has come to a far-too-premature close. May Dan be so surrounded by so much love as he continues to live his best life as always.

Your attitude is so beautiful with you and your mom finding light hearted moments at tough times. My 85 year old Aunty had surgery for bowel cancer. She has a stoma bag. She calls it her Gucchi bag. She said it is a miracle how it works. She says it saved her life. And she says that was her biggest fear having to live with that, but her attitude has now changed. She is now cured and is such a positive inspiring person.
