How sad to see the end of an era. Steam locomotives get old and rust becoming dangerous. The boiler will becomes weak and will explode. I worked on the "Surviving World Steam Project", in which I documented the world's surviving steam locomotives and other steam engines from about 1995-2010. At that time, there were 26 locomotives at Jatiroto Mill; all but one of which were dumped at that time. All but about 5 of them are hundred years old now. I hate to hear that they have been scrapped; but if nothing has been done with them in at least 20 years now; that fate is inevitable. Such a shame.

It is very difficult to find good quality videos for Semboro Duccro & Browns steam locomotives. they went out of service in the late 90s. Glad to see the steam powered water pump is still working (at minute 02:10 in the video you shared). Where did the steam locomotive come from? No. 23,24,25,26,27,28 were the first Duccro & Browns Semboro mallet steam locos, in 1926. They were very fat because the water tenders were very large on either side of the boiler. Length: 4.51 m Empty mass: 7.5 t Loaded mass: 10 t Timbre: 12 bars Power: 50 hp Distribution: Walschaert with flat drawers It was first assigned to the Kruszwica sugar factory in Poland then recovered by the Polish railways and then sent to invaded France in 1939. After the 39-45 war it was used by a company in a quarry in France. In 1950, it was sold to Sablières de Nemours and in March 2001 the locomotive was acquired and completely restored by the Chemin de Fer des Chanteraines. It was classified as a historic monument on December 8, 2005. Concerning the Ducroo and Brauns Mallets I prefer the first series of 60 hp built in number of 12 in 1926 and it is one of them that we have reproduced. The following 49 much better known develop 80 hp (only 2 had an auxiliary tender built). Only one developed 100 hp. couldnt agree more. there are so many historical stuffs like these being forgotten. what makes it even sadder, is that they use road vehicles/ trucks which add more traffic jams everywhere. at one point, I am glad that colonization left so many great stuffs here although most of them are gone😢
