I cant believe Mem bought a plot of woodlands and rented out an entire school just to film this episode. The production values TRULY have skyrocketed after the move
wow it's like i'm really back at the public library pc shuffling through floppy discs looking for putt putt goes to the zoo. i can smell the puzzle floor pieces and all the books, ty mem
Omg my dumb ass was so bad at gizmos and gadgets. I had two magic school bus games, one on Mars the other Pluto, where you would watch the children boil alive and die of oxygen deprivation. Mrs. Frizzle don’t fuck around in space. 🥵🥶
3:17 Spectacles walking animaiton is a 1-to-1 recreation of the walk cycle in The Animator's Survival Kit! I recognize those flappy hand moves anywhere
AND, according to the scary stream, smoking cigarettes might actually save your life, especially if you're in some kind of recurring nightclub-knife-handcuff-magnifying-glass-shotgun-defibulator-type situation 🤔
Me when I see a new Memoria video in my subscription box: 10:17 These high concept videos from you are SO good, I loved the intercuts of you in the woods and the nature facts! Also, I would sell my soul to be in that computer lab right now
Oh god, I remember the Magic Schoolbus Rainforest game. I also had the Magic Schoolbus game where they explore the human body, and I remember them getting up to ABSURD ethics violations by messing around with Arnold's internal organs without his consent or knowledge
I like that Mem is partially transparent in the library, it's like she's the spirit of our childhoods forever playing terrible CD ROM educational games
Just watching u play the magic school bus game made me overwhelmed from all the sounds constantly like i had to pause the video when the section ended to take a breather lmao 😭
I've been watching your videos at random, and in the last one I saw, you mentioned just getting a new job, so you being unemployed now has kind of given me whiplash.
I have played at least a week's worth of Gizmos and Gadgets. I was so happy when it was one of the games. I also played a Magic Schoolbus game about the Solar System way too much, it was very similar to this rainforest game.
Hey Mem! Just want to say that your new videos are amazing and you're getting so good at this. My fiancee and I still think you are one of the best youtubers right now. Keep it up! Much love from NC.
Mem knowing what reader rabbit is + Tomb raider + Harry potter and the chamber of secrets game has officially confirmed for me that we had the exact same childhood
I don't even know how to explain the feelings this video invokes. Its like recalling such an obscure memory with someone I don't know, and having both similar memories, and a similar like present day observation on just how completely absurd and annoying the games are. It's like some kind of relatable celebration of something so mediocre its just automatically relatable. +1 excellent content.
Does anyone else remember Wishbone: Activity Zone? That game scared the pants off of me as a kid - or at least the one segment where you do a word puzzle then they let you out into a HORRIFYING maze full of jumpscare monsters. That's all I remember from it. My sister and I used to play it in the dark and fuckin flip out, only scarier game I've played so far is Alien: Isolation.
I feel like my grandma kept The Learning Company alive as long as she could by buying all their games. I still randomly think about the song “Do you believe in monsters” from the 3rd grade game
extremely stoked that you happened to play the one Cluefinders game I actually played as a child. I think this is the first Self Growth gaming episode this relatable since harry potter and the secret of the gnome hole
I loooved Gizmos and Gadgets as a kid. I remember when I was too scared to even play with chimps turned on, a wee babe lost in the factory! Also I had a different Magic School Bus game where they went into Arnold's body because he was sick? It was pretty disgusting to be honest. One minigame involved absorbing moisture from poop as it traveled through his intestines.
i remember playing zoombinis in computer class and being stuck on the pizza guy because i didnt know what to do. i think i brute forced past a couple times but my success rate was not high
That blimp making game blew my mind. I played it as a kid but totally forgot about it until I saw this. Massive nostalgia through this whole video. 😮😱😭
I have been trying to remember the name of the gizmos and gadgets game for forever!! Thank you for solving this for me along with providing entertaining content :)
i like how the color fidelity wasn't made for modern screens, like, what's supposed to be black is all kinds of grey blue and green because they couldn't see the difference back then!
Gizmos & Gadgets "cheat" I discovered in like 3rd grade when I played the game at school: 1. In Options, you can pick which puzzle types you see. Set it so that only the "Balance the scale" puzzles are active 2. Puzzles get more difficult in each category when you solve them. If you press Enter after placing the weight on the correct balance BUT BEFORE the scale actually finishes the balance animation, it grants you access to the door but DOES NOT consider it solved. EVERY DOOR IN THE GAME will be an easy balance puzzle forever. I felt so smart having found this as a child, but I never actually learned any science from this game as a result.
I have traumatic memories of typing games in the computer lab. I have never experienced a more primal fear and stress than being unable to type in like 3rd grade.
Someone spent weeks making this educational material game, then they paid a bunch of children to voice all this stuff. This is crazy! How much did these cost the schools to rent or buy if these took so much work to make?
Have you played Dr. Brain: Action Reaction? When I would go to the rec center for their after school program, that's the edutainment game I'd play. I was not judged kindly by the other children playing Tribes: Aerial Assault.
This one is very nostalgic to me, I played cluefinders the mystery of monkey kingdom which was a different one from that series, and I also played this particular magic school bus game and was never able to get very far..
This makes me imagine an awful video series where you play these types of games with a kid and compete for who gets a better score. Something like “Am I better at ____ than a third grader? 🤔”. The twist would be there is no twist. The answer is yes, you crush them at the game almost every time. You also brag and celebrate at the end like it’s not woefully unfair and never once acknowledge the fact that you’re a grown adult and they’re a child.
sorry this video took one million years. i will try to make some normal ones now that will only take six to seven hundred thousand years.
The increase in quality in the unemployed arc has been totally worth the wait. Take as much time as you need for these bangers.
Mem Never Misses
We will wait faithfully till we turn to stone facing towards the sun

my lower back hurts, do the scooby doo

Mem should get her bob insured. It's the most important part of the brand image
I cant believe Mem bought a plot of woodlands and rented out an entire school just to film this episode. The production values TRULY have skyrocketed after the move
I assume she owns the school in order to film there? Can we apply to be meducated (mem educated)?
Production value going wild.
wow it's like i'm really back at the public library pc shuffling through floppy discs looking for putt putt goes to the zoo. i can smell the puzzle floor pieces and all the books, ty mem
Welcome to the zoo zoo zoo
With the kangaroo roo roos
Omg my dumb ass was so bad at gizmos and gadgets. I had two magic school bus games, one on Mars the other Pluto, where you would watch the children boil alive and die of oxygen deprivation. Mrs. Frizzle don’t fuck around in space. 🥵🥶
that's INSANE lmao
46 minutes of new mem? Perfect to watch in between binging old mem videos
The Cluefinders are such a deep cut. Mem, you have never been more real
Thanks for making this video mem. Ever since I was a young gamer I've wanted to learn how to read
3:17 Spectacles walking animaiton is a 1-to-1 recreation of the walk cycle in The Animator's Survival Kit! I recognize those flappy hand moves anywhere
9/10 doctors agree that smoking one memoria video a day is a dang ol' boon to your health
AND, according to the scary stream, smoking cigarettes might actually save your life, especially if you're in some kind of recurring nightclub-knife-handcuff-magnifying-glass-shotgun-defibulator-type situation 🤔
I lovve these places you have broken in to
New Mem just dropped?! Let’s goooo
15:52 Adverbs are basically adjectives for verbs + a bunch of stuff that did not fit anywhere.
Me when I see a new Memoria video in my subscription box: 10:17
These high concept videos from you are SO good, I loved the intercuts of you in the woods and the nature facts! Also, I would sell my soul to be in that computer lab right now
That princess hag from the first game is kinda giving Ice King from adventure time
It's the exact same crown, too
Oh god, I remember the Magic Schoolbus Rainforest game.
Love getting a new secret episode of self growth gaming!
That first game was such a deep cut it was practically a blood memory
that question mark button has got a real nice crunch to it
The volcano land formation reference to Any Austins latest vid was crazy guys 😮
Just watching u play the magic school bus game made me overwhelmed from all the sounds constantly like i had to pause the video when the section ended to take a breather lmao 😭
WHAT DID YOU NAME THE ANT, MEM
it's the bemuse story all over again 👀
My thoughts as well! Guess I'm losing sleep tonight :(
I remember every part of every game that you showed. It's weird. Most of this I haven't thought about in 20 years.
Saw the Cluefinders and instantly locked in
That schoolbus character creator is a frigging nightmare 😂
2:05 erm his name is claptrap… just a quick reminder i know we’re all still learning
NOT THE NEW PFP😭 PICTURE PERFECT WHAT CAN I SAY💅💅
you can say lots of things but I am not sure if that is one of them
Gizmos and gadgets was my mf-in jam. My mom would get mad that I would reset door puzzles by exiting and re-entering until I got an easy one.
Oh my god, that cold open clip just uncovered a long forgotten memory. This is gonna be a good one!😆
I've been watching your videos at random, and in the last one I saw, you mentioned just getting a new job, so you being unemployed now has kind of given me whiplash.
Mem now among the list of creators who i yell out loud in excitement to see they've dropped a new video ❤
The video dropped right on time for spooky season because it delivered the perfect PFP.
6:23 So that's what the Mumford & Sons song was about
I was too busy getting the high scores to learn how to read
According to the census bureau children do not count as employed or unemployed
I have played at least a week's worth of Gizmos and Gadgets. I was so happy when it was one of the games. I also played a Magic Schoolbus game about the Solar System way too much, it was very similar to this rainforest game.
45 minutes of MOTHERRRR content?? I'm so ready 💅💅
The feeling of despair as you watch your blimp inevitably falling behind in that race really unlocked some core memories for me
24:48 mem dying over the new pfp was an amazing moment
she wasn't lying, she did change her PFP to that thing
excuuuuuse me, princess!! ~ weird boy
Me being a member put this at the top of the comment section which I was not expecting 😅

me having to wait to watch Memoria video:
Idk if any gamers learned to read, but @11:20 I did learn that Mem just hates my mom. Devastating for her
I've never thought of "involve" that way. Pro tip: use spatial imagination to infer meaning. (engineers will understand).
Not mem actually changing her picture to that creature 😂
this was so educational i feel very educated
Being made to climb a hill, I remember that. :P
Crater Lake, just Oregon, good memories.
Also im so jelly you went to crater lake and got some fresh Gatorade!!
loved so much of this, among other parts the energy star and gateway logos on the monitor
Thank you for bringing Gizmos & Gadgets back into my conscious memory, what a wave of nostalgia
I loooved Gizmos and Gadgets as a kid. I remember when I was too scared to even play with chimps turned on, a wee babe lost in the factory! I miss the CD era
The Magic school bus game is so nostalgic. I played that game forever and day.
The magic school bus game offers nothing more than exposure therapy for sensory overload.
wow my mom never told me she made a crater lake
I love how clueless you look in the thumbnail while posing as a teacher; what a great juxaposition :D
Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing prepared me for this moment
This has inspired me to continue my education
Cluefinders 3 Mystery of Mathra was one of my favorite games growing up! But you should do “Freddy fish” or “Pajama Sam Thunder & Lightning”
Sultry jukebox walked so sexy Australian bluetooth speaker could run.
The best UA-camr is back and I’m not sure I can handle it. Please hel
I have been trying to remember the name of the gizmos and gadgets game for forever!! Thank you for solving this for me along with providing entertaining content :)
I think that Mem now knows more about bushings than any single freight railroad in America
I used to play an Arthur computer disk game and it was actually ridiculously fun for some reason.
I am spectacles and Mem is the Princess
Why are we fighting chimpanzees for blimp parts, I'm very confused
i like how the color fidelity wasn't made for modern screens, like, what's supposed to be black is all kinds of grey blue and green because they couldn't see the difference back then!
Holy shit this unearthed some memories
Gizmos & Gadgets "cheat" I discovered in like 3rd grade when I played the game at school:

I felt so smart having found this as a child, but I never actually learned any science from this game as a result.
The alternate art style Pokémon cards were the coolest ones!
I finally know how 2 read, thanks mem, goated educator
