Agreed, I’m constantly reading. But it’s rare I read one book in just one day. I have to be super drawn and obsessed to keep reading, and though I can read the entire thing, I personally feel myself speed reading more toward the last parts of the book if I do it in less than 24hrs. It’s not an enjoyable reading experience going too fast, for me anyway
Uhm, people are allowed to dislike books..? Don’t get me wrong, I thought the Song of Achilles by her is just perfection but Circe didn’t do it for me.
I also didn’t like Circe; Madeline Miller has gorgeous a writing style and I love The Song of Achilles but, I couldn’t get into Circe. I found Circe kind of annoying at times and that her only personality trait was falling in love with mortals and then being sad because something happens to them.
@@basmo_app I’m not sure why people are doubting you.. You are absolutely allowed to express your feelings (even dislike) about any book. I read Circe too and I feel the exact same way.
I LOVE Circe!! Ah!!! my favorite woman in Greek mythology. Sad you didn’t connect
Same here, AND I adore Madeline Millers interpretation of her
who puts a thumb down because a book is sad? 😭
Maybe she wasn't in the mood for a sad book 😭
I don’t know how anyone can read so many in 24 hours.

you probably ran through the pages without reading the whole thing, how can you think Circe is bad
I don't know! I swear I wanted to love it as I love all Greek mythology books, but I wanna re-read it so maybe I can better appreciate it ❤️
Fr, circe was one of favs in Greek mythology books
I expected more of that book as well.. gave it like 2-3 stars
@@nurah_qu8338 Same, even though I adored her other book: The Song of Achilles!
