I'm too deep into the DeWalt battery bank to get out now.. lol. Black and yellow all the way.
Dewalt blew Milwaukee outta the water when it comes to their oscillating tool. The best tool to have for cutting pvc pipe flush with floor level when installing a toilet flange
Ha! i used one the other day at my house. It worked great
Does it somehow avoid ruining the teeth on the concrete? Because I've always found a sawzall to cut flush flush and take no time at all.
How does it blow it out of the water? Ive only used the Milwaukee one and you have peaked my interest!
Japanese pull saw for flush cuts.
I like my dewalt, have a shelf full of their tools, but I also have a shelf of dead batteries. They poop out so fast. I always forget to go drop them off for warranty replacement, by the time I remember they're out of date. I have Milwaukee batteries that are 5+ years old and still work fine
I am not an hvac guy, but I still get to cut sheet metal often enough to need some sort of a "power" tool for it. So I got myself an attachment that clips onto my power drill and turns it into a metal cutter. Love it.
I am not 100% faithful to DeWalt, but most of my tools are DeWalt, which also makes it easy to manage batteries and chargers.
Yeah once you hop on a battery train its hard to get off
Do their batteries last for you? Ive got way to big of a pile of burnt out dewalt batteries
@@mbburry4759 I have never had a battery go bad on me.
@@VadymZakrevskyy that's good... wonder why mine fail so often. Are you mostly just using drills and impact?
I do use the grinder a good bit, but usually follow the "don't keep using it until the tool cuts off, swap when it slows down" thing.
@@mbburry4759 Drill, and a little impact. My grinder is wired. I swap out the battery when I can stop the chuck with my hand. I am just a hobbyist though, so I use it maybe 2-3 times a week.
Plumbing for 22 years now and I’ve had de Walt ever since
I am a maintenance technician that specializes in plumbing and electrical work, I use DeWalt and Milwaukee but slightly prefer dewalt after going back and forth
what makes you like DeWalt more than Milwuakee?
@@RogerWakefield iv bought and used both in the field, the power of DeWalt 20v atomic tools have outperformed my Milwaukee. I love both but I feel like DeWalt is just a hair above Milwaukee in power, but they do lack in reliability, every DeWalt drill or impact driver iv used has given out on me, I'm still going with my M18 and M12 drill and drivers, all are about the same age and used about the same. I also started with DeWalt and just have a bit of a soft spot for them. Milwaukee hands down gets the form factor vote though.
@@deezynutz4742 thank you brother. I’m like you. I have some of every brand. All for different reasons. I appreciate your feedback!!! What is your favorite tool?
What a nice man Roger is comes across very truthful practical and sensible
I appreciate that, Tony
I’m a big fan of Milwaukee as they have some of the most trade specific power tool out there and also the basics and it all on one battery platform also a portable bandsaw can cut just about anything you need to work with
A chinese company owns Milwaukee tho, DeWalt supports American interests and keeps the $$$ supporting our economy.
Ryobi is a homeowner brand and there's nothing wrong with that as long as you're a homeowner doing DIY. Very affordable.
Nothing wrong with Ryobi they are solid
Now a days there’s almost the same price as dewalt and other high quality brands
DeWalt very nice, been filling a tool box with them. Stared with just a drill & driver combo bag, think I have the same saw it all too
M12 PVC pipe shear would have to be top 5 for me. $200 for the tool and it paid for itself on the first job. I'm team Milwaukee now. I'm converting over from Bosch.
Really surprised the angle grinder didn’t make the cut. I think Steve Lav titles his angle grinder the best tool he owns if I’m not mistaken!
That one does come in handy for sure! Not a bad pick, probably rounds out in my top 15
I think it used to be top 3 but technology advances mean your working with less heavy metal. Like that copper tools so many times ive used grinda to rough cut to demo or get started but why when you can get clean cuts in the first place.
I wouldn't say that I'm brand loyal, but I'm far enough into a cordless system that it makes more sense to continue. I don't want 6 different types of batteries lying around.
Or 6 different types of chargers lol. Idk about you but I don’t have the space for that
I’d also add a right angle drill both compact and full sized variant
He hit the nail on the head, ironically without a hammer but a drill and zip saw!!
I grew up a mechanic, dad's tools and all he used is Snap-On and air tools. However with the shitload of brands out there, it's hard to start.
love milwaukee power tools
Team red because of the trade specific tools
I'm the only one in my company who uses Makita tools. I guess that makes me the weird one lol
There's nothing wrong with Makita.
@@kobelcofan I think most plumbers overlook Makita and go straight for team red (Milwaukee). Personally, I prefer the build quality of Makita tools.
@@dantheman5837 They're all pretty good as long as you take care of them. I like Makita Milwaukee and Bosch. A lot of guys abuse their tools and blame the brand for it.
Hell yeah bro, Makita represent!
I’m a DeWalt guy. I’ve tried Milwaukee and wasn’t a fan. Makita is pretty good, and ridged straight garbage. My opinion though.
Opinion is valid, each company has their strengths and weaknesses
I go dewalt because everyone i work with has it so when mine eventually gets stolen I can at least charge my bats until I get a new one
Dewalt all day
Ryobi tools
SDS hammer drill, hackzall or one handed small reciprocating saw, hammer drill, pex expansion tool, pex crimp tool.
Good picks brother👌
Hackzall all the way. When I started my journeyman had one and instantly I fell in love. Being able to comfortably 1 handed the sawzall is such a life changer. There's an occasional time when I'm on the commercial side that extra sawzall power would be nice but not worth spending the money. The hackzall just gets better use 90% of the time.
Do a lot of demo work and I need A Good Screw Driver, the kind that chisels, A Boston Slammer, long crowbar, Drill & Driver, A saw that cuts it all
my favorite vacuum is the craftsman 4 gal 3.5 hp. Best vacuum ive ever bought
cordless?? 👀
@@RogerWakefield sadly no but only $60
Same as a ridgid, also known has teribad loud junk. Dewalts are the best
I have Milwaukee power tools. My favorite is Milwaukee M12 power tools.
Milwaukee 💯💯💯
Can you make a video on kitec pipe. Why it failed and what to do when you have to replace some pipe and re attach it to existing kitec
Milwaukee & DeWalt
Hey Roger! Any chance you could talk about how to go from a 2" stub-out to a 1 1/4" drain? I tried finding a 2" to 1 1/4" trap adapter and can't seem to find it anywhere. How would you go about getting this installed?
It’s a washer that use called a 1 1/2 washer to 1 1/4 hope this helps …… i plumb
@Nxl softwash thank you for reply. So then I'd go 2in x 1 1/2in trap adapter, 1 1/2in trap, then when I connect to 1 1/4 drain use this washer you mentioned?
Wanted to watch you play with each tool😂 great video and listing for us
Glad you enjoyed! What's your favorite tool?
@RogerWakefield honestly only got my hands on cordless drill and impact drill😂 that pro press looks tons of fun tho 😎. On a video you recommend a 5 power tool kit . Can't find video where you made recommendation. Which kit was that?
I absolutely hated the cordless tube cutter myself. Just did my first year's schooling and we had the option of using ones in the shop. Gave it a try a couple times and honestly it just felt....awful? I can't even really describe why. It just felt loose and time consuming. Cutting copper with a manual tube cutter is just so insanely fast that the extra comfort imo is worth it.
And for the tight to reach areas my journeyman gave me a hand-me-down lennox close space tube cutter when he bought another one. One of those small circular ones, absolute dream.
Maybe it’s old and worn out? I just bought me one and it works great
School provided tool, machine (Inc computers) aren't always the best. It's like buying a rental car and being "eh, it's ok for a Pourche" you have to experience things fresh.
Do you have a video on water sizing. Were going over that in school. Citc van wa. My teacher explains it in an extremely confusing way. Getting the developed length and total demand with fix. Units
Appreciate you replying to my comment on the upanor and pex b video. Most dont reply.
I don't have a video on that. But that is a good idea, I will write that down!
Milwaukee all the way
Milwaukee for me but my job buys dewalt so I got both
Dewalt Flexvolt and Milwaukee
🤙🏼
Black and Red
Everybody needs a variable speed angle grinder.
Ryobi
If it's free it can be any brand and so i have DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita.
Went and got the Dewalt tool set from Home Depot lol
As a home gamer I’m into Bauer, the cheapo Dewalt knockoff
Metabo hpt and dewalt
Lex expander
I just dropped off a Milwaukee hammer drill at a repair depot. Barely ever used it too. In the future I’ll be buying ryobi or harbor freight and not paying for milwaukees name.
I used to work at Harbor Freight and the amount of people that brought back broken power tools after a week of using was astonishing…never had a problem with my dewalt or milwaukee….i dont mind harbor freight wrenchs and screwdrivers though
Dewalt
Red tools
Does anyone know if the propress works on pex sleeves?
Cordless tuuls👍🤣
love me some cordless tuulz
@@RogerWakefield love your videos ✌
appreciate it brother 💪
I go Bee and my bud goes Red
Dewalt but I don’t care about brands I buy bootleg batteries off Amazon
This is low-key show and tell toys for adults.
High-Key you're right
Cord is better more power
For shop vacs yes, basically anything else probably not
I've always wondered if this is actually true.
I’m a slave to Milwaukee 😂
Have you seen their new battery technoogy?! Game changer...
