I killed every deer I shot this year but one out of a saddle. Kestrel by Aerohunter is what I have been using this year. Using hooks most hunts to climb the tree. I am shooting a 19 inch Satori with uukha uureg longs pulling 56lbs at my draw. I am using a 630 grain vap with four 2.6 inch tradvanes with 300 up front lead by a Simmons great white.
I let the guide go down the stick, I know eventually it may wear the stick or wheel out but I imagine it will be years. I keep the roller guide behind the blade so I can keep constant pressure pushing down the stick.
Just cutting the edge into a plastic table, you can do it with a piece of wood as well to just help stop a wire edge from forming. Not necessary, but I find the edge is normally better if done.
Man you need to learn how to count when doing them strokes😂😂
Movie magic lol
Are you still using a tree sadle and which one ? Also what’s your setup as far as saddle and bow thanks great vid

What are the grit ratings on that jewel stick?
Coarse - 270
Medium - 600
Fine - 1800
What sharpener is this? I have the RADA and can get mine sharp but think I can do better
KME jig and a 10 inch 3 sided jewel stick.
@@BeauLeyse Is the trick to keep that rotating clamp from moving and run the jig along the jewelstik?
@@jons858 yes sir
@@BeauLeyse Alrighty! This is my last attempt at sharpening my Simmons. I just can’t get them shaving sharp any other way
@@jons858 just make sure to work up a good bur on both sides at the start then it will be a piece of cake.
Please don't lay on your leg big arteries there
Your arteries are actually, pretty deep in your leg, the worse case I scrape the flesh.. but thanks for the tip I’ll be mindful.
