- In this video we will use our Ricoh Ri1000 Dtg Printer to attempt to print onto a Demin Jacket for the first time. I will show you how to use your Ricoh Ri1000's rip colorgate software and how to place the .prn file onto your Ri1000 machine. This video is intended to show all new users or potential users of the Ri1000 a few things that I wish I knew when I went to print my first shirt. I really hope this video helps. It’s best to stand your shirts up & spray gets better coverage ty for the tutorial I’ve had mine for 3 months and they clog quick
Thanks for the tip but I’m not so sure about this one. If the point of pre treat is to get the solution into the shirt It seems to me that standing up the liquid would drip down or roll off the shirt because of gravity but laying down the liquid would seep into the fibers . also if standing up works best why do all the professional machines have you lay down the shirt. I’d have to disagree with you on this one. Thank you for making me think none the less. 🙏🏾

Great video Allan, question can you connect the software directly to the printer?
My computer in now connected directly to my printer via Ethernet cable so I can press print from the software and it prints to the dtg right away. If that’s what you are asking. Yes.

Would this be under light garnment? For a Jean jacket
Yes you don’t have to use an underbase. You can use the light garment setting the pre treat is what really matters for this.
