If you’re looking for a foolproof way to print on a hoodie, follow these steps!
First, press your hoodie with your heat press for ten seconds to iron out the garment and remove any moisture. For this project, we recommend threading the hoodie through the heat press as well as the DTG printer to avoid creating any indentations from the pocket on the front of the garment.
Next, it’s time to pretreat the hoodie! Hoodies are a much thicker material so you’ll need to saturate the printing area with twice as much pretreatment solution as you would with a T-shirt. Since you will be using more, Guillermo suggests using the bracket from your printer to mark where the pretreatment solution will go to avoid getting any excess on the other parts of the hoodie.
After pretreating the hoodie, you’ll want to press the garment once again to cure it. Keep pressing it until you feel the hoodie is dry and the Teflon sheet isn’t sticking to the solution. Once you’re done, the hoodie is ready to be printed on.
Like we mentioned before, make sure to thread your hoodie through the DTG printer so that the side you are printing on is lying flat on the printer’s surface and the other side is hanging below.
Press start and you’re off! - Навчання та стиль
These tips are super useful! 🙌🙌🙌
Glad you think so!
Yes, I want to see you make the pre-treat station!
So do we!
I thought you could only print on T-shirts this whole time, so this is AWESOME to know! and yes, make the pre-treat station!
The more you know... Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip!!!
No problem! Thank YOU for watching!
I want to see you make the pre-treat station!
So do we! We've gotten so much enthusiasm the Guillermo's going to have to deliver now!
I always thought you could not touch the garment after you applied the pretreat and pressed it.
Hi love your videos very helpful!
Question if you have a video on printing hoodies when there are pockets in the front??
Thank you in advance
HI there, thanks so much for watching. We haven't yet but this is a great idea. Thanks so much for passing it along!
Put something under the area you're printing on, so it elevates that area higher than the pocket seams. And adjust the platen to the elevated area. I use dense cardboard, easy to cut to size.
Thank you so much
Just found your channel, this is so cool!!! I was wondering what you would do if you had a smaller design that wouldn't take up that whole space!! Also, are there any places where you can pay to have someone else do it for you?? I really only need to print something once, and I don't even know if I would ever use it again, and it's expensive just for a one time use, so yeah!!
this was written at like 2 am, so sorry for bad wording

Can we get a video on I depth color gate settings
Thanks for the recommendation! We will look into creating a video on this topic!
Hey great video! Would you say a 80% cotton, 20 polyester hoodie is good to sell for a brand with DTG or 100% cotton for longer lasting print?
Hi there, thanks so much for watching. Either of these hoodies, when pretreated properly, should last you 50+ washes.
@@ricomatv But what about the regular clothes we buy from stores with graphics what do they do to make sure the prints don’t come off?
Are you going to build the pretreatment station? If so, when?
Hi there, thanks so much for watching. You can pretreat your garments on any flat surface. Hope this helps!
Yes
Thanks for watching!
Can it print any color and will it come off while washing the shirt
Hi there, it can print any color and no. It can go up to 50 washes as long as you follow the washing instructions.
Can you use DTG if the hoodie has 40%cotton 60%polyester ?
yes!
I notice you still had pretreatment stain on your shirt is there a way to get that removed after words?? Btw great videos 🙌🏿
A simple option to lessen minor pretreatment stains on certain garments is to manually steam the garment. This can be quite effective and is a quick fix to help reduce pretreatment stains from ruining your overall product. Thanks for watching!
Hi, what was the cotton content on this particular hoody?
Hi there, thanks so much for watching, So sorry, but we don't recall!

We recommend 40 to 60 seconds!
