  • I got the dtg printer I purchased from offerUp to work and it is ready for business. There was nothing wrong with it I just didn't know how to use it properly. Now that I am able to print t-shirts successfully back to back my t-shirt business will 10x. The Ricoh Ri1000 is a money printing machine and I am addicted to it.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 роки тому +1

      Yes. Absolutely. So having the Dtg for maybe close to a year now my white has never got clogged but I understand how it can happen. Logically I think there are two reasons why any one that has the printer’s print head can get clogged. 1. If you turn your machine off for a period of time with the lines and print head full of ink it will clog.
      2. If the humidity or temperature is not right (to cold in the area you are keeping the machine your print head can get clogged. (Gotta keep the humidty (warmth up).
      3. I think people run out of white ink and go for sometime without putting new white ink in causing the print head to get clogged.
      When you leave the printer on (which you are supposed to do at all times unless you drained all the ink out and have cleaning solution in the lines) the ink circulates periodically on its own. The machine pushes ink ink the waste container. So the ink is continuously moving so the lines don’t get clogged. As long as the inks don’t get cold and solidify it will move just fine.
      If the ink stays still to long maybe a two weeks to a month it can start to solidify.
      from winter to summer I notice a significant difference in the way my printer acts and performs. In the winter I had to do more maintenance and clean the printers more often. Every 6 shirts I had to wipe off the print head. In the summer when the room got warmer I was knocking out shirts back to back non stopped and the pretty much don’t have to clean the heads. I did a live the other day and I did about idk 15 or so shirts. After the live I did a bunch more. The variable is the warmth in the air. The way the ink reacts to temperature. Keep your printer warm and you will be fine. I purchased a little greenhouse for this winter with a small heater. It’s a lot but now that I know how the printer behaves I know how to treat it and don’t have to worry about it getting clogged. Do you daily maintenance. I do mine every other day or every three days because I’m familiar with what it’s gonna do relative to the temperature. But do you daily and weekly and monthly maintenance and you will be fine. The one key thing is keep your oriented warm and keep ink in the lines so it can circulate. If you are going away for over three weeks out cleaning solution in and you can turn it off. Do those things and you’ll be good. Keep it warm. One more thing. If you don’t have the business for it, don’t get it. You’ll be wasting ink. When times are slow print up the shirts that sell the most so you are not wasting inks. Print up a few of those popular shirts when you don’t have business because the ink is use it or lose it. How that helps. Oh and use my affiliate link when and if you buy it. 😁💪🏾👍🏾

      @@KALKIi108 everyone is afraid of dtg printers and they should be. Dtg printers are by far the most difficult types of garment decorating equipment to maintain. It has been years since I first started using dtg but mine is still up and running however, if maintenance and trouble shooting is not your thing then this is not what you want. Occasionally these printers do give hi and error message or something weird happens requiring to turn it off and back on again to clear. These things are difficult to maintain, it is not a walk in the park but years later and me knowing how the machines act it’s easy to me. But a new person, yea. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It does get easier when you know how to deal with the printer though. It’s easy to me.

    I am confused.... Did you buy this new or used? Everything seems to point to used.. But very confusing... If from ricoma, i can see you being an afiliate for this DTG printer.... But for the price you claim to have paid for it, i recon you did not but it strait from ricoma... So tell us your real thoughts of it..................................

      @adubbproductions  Рік тому

      That’s gonna be a tough sell on the used market to that price. This video is 2 years old and I got it for $4500 back the. I recently got another one for $5k. Unfortunately people are not willing to pay high prices to get into dtg. Most can’t handle the maintenance it entails.

      @@adubbproductions so u would say a correct price is more like 3k

      If so I can beat that and settle for 2.5k

      If you are motivated to sell it fast but I wouldn’t go that low if it’s fully functional. I would still try to get 5k if i was in your shoes. It’s just a tough sell. A huge part of that is the fact that Ricoh does 0 to educate the public on the product and their customer support is trash.

      Good enjoy it just watch nozzle checks and do the head cleanings it will get messy in there fr all over take it from me I had to clean the decoder strip and all off,so maintenance is the key and if u don’t have the cleaner carts to turn it off I would get them in case I have to power down u can’t without those

      Thank you. I got the cleaning cartridges. Im gonna make sure I keep it clean. I need this thing to last and I do not want to be forced to have to purchase a new head.

      @@adubbproductions the Ricoh dtg one . The one they invite you too when you buy it . So many issues with machines. People are reporting them as fraud to leasing companies and send machines back . For example my machine had an issue where it flushes magenta and yellow whenever it wants. I paid big money to ship my machine from NC to Cali. I got it back and problem was not fixed.
