- After what feels like forever spent just trying to organize all this footage, here is my Silver Oak challenge movie. I had so much fun making this, and it's a crazy mess of vlogs, and I hope you enjoy it!

I love how you integrate your passion for pokemon with your everyday life. Its crazy how a challenge in a game could spawn so many different experiences in real life. I also loved how your family gave you a round of applause for catching your shiny bellsprout lol.

At the end of last year, I started watching this channel and the summer before that I went to exact places that Matt showed. By pure coincidence, I was at the monkey park, Ikebukuro Pokemon Center, and Team Labs within hours that Matt did.

LMAOOO the blurred footage of us at the top at the miku expo. this is such a love letter to my favorite gen. phenomenal video!!!!!

man the japan vlog hit different. feel like you really hit the pinnacle of your thesis having pokemon and media in general connect us humans together in a way that transcends any language or cultural barrier. we're all just 1 staircase below a shrine away from making these connections ourselves, what a beautiful reminder.

starting last year, i got really into shiny hunting in scarvio because i developed a horrible art block i couldn't work through and really needed something to do with my spare time. your videos really got me into it, i love returning to your movies and rewatching them while doing my own hunts! i finally broke through art block over the summer so shiny hunting has taken a backseat while i get back into the groove of drawing, but i still watch every upload and have found new (to me) shiny hunters through you as well. thank you for sharing your experiences and journey with pokemon in such fun ways!! i love a good playthrough, but your style of showing yourself out and about and having fun really is what brings me back every time. also, miku expo looked awesome!

I will never forget playing through Silver Version when I was a kid. It was so magical going through Johto the first time, all the new pokemon, seeing the Kanto region in the post game, fighting Red on the top of Mt. Silver... Glorious. This generation will always be my favorite, hands down. RBY got me in, and GSC felt like the perfection of that original journey.

This movie was magical for so many reasons. I personally can't get over the Absol in Japan segment of the movie. It was powerful to me for so many reasons, especially when you consider the connections of Gold/Silver to Japan, but the absolute best part was the connection with strangers over Bocchi the Rock. Didn't know how bad I needed to see that.
Was so excited seeing this uploaded today and what an amazing watch it was. From all the sights that were shown and the destinations you went to in your year long playthrough of this challenge it was definitely worth the wait and will for sure watch this again many times along with your other movies. Even though I only got to hang out with you, Ben, GremlinGremlin and CannedWolfMeat for that single day at GO Tour LA it means a lot to be a part of your journey and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

This channel turned out really cool as a lot of the videos now are just passion projects that make me feel happy watching compared to overly produced videos that are made just to get views.
