I can't believe Cal Zone is canonically dead until next season when he's busted out of hell because there's an Oddish emergency that requires aid only he can provide.
Hearing Kotatsu say "standing in the odds" reminded me of a dream I had recently. In my dream, the phrase "standing in the odds" actually got popular even outside of the shiny hunting community to the point where famous and important people started talking about it. But they were talking about it like it was the ice bucket challenge renaissance, a lot of people gave speeches about how we, as the human race, have to stand in the odds for a better future. Politicians were saying that we had to stand in the odds for "the nation's future". People started making videos of themselves walking into puddles of water and saying "I'm standing in the odds" like it's the ice bucket challenge, entirely misunderstanding the original meaning of the phrase. It was a wild dream.
I really like these style of video, where you can tell it's just a group of friends hanging out, but ones who came together over a game but had the relationships become more than just just centered around the original game
I will never forget the CEJ Dance into Shiny Reaction for as long as I live. Seriously had such an incredible time with you dude, and I can't wait for the next crazy adventure!!

I haven't shiny hunted in ages, but the idea of hunting in a house full of other people who are also hunting and all share the excitement when someone finds one is amazing.
My core group of friends and I used to have crazy meetups like this but we all got a bit older, some had kids, other responsibilities etc. This video really made me remember those times and I just thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. I love this channel, it's just so much fun.
Unironically this is the best video i have seen this year on youtube. Its just fun the whole time. Yea shiny hunting might not be your thing but when a whole house of friends freak out cause some eggs are a slightly different color, it just makes anyone smile.

Amazing video! This is so special. Every safari week I watch Matt and Dallas’s shiny pokemon playlists, all the way from the beginning. The entire time I was watching this video I couldn’t stop thinking about the Journey it took to get to this point. From the humble beginnings of the super solitary, extremely niche hobby of shiny hunting; to today, where so many memories and friends have been made, and even an entire community of thousands of people has been formed. I think that’s really beautiful, and there’s still so much to look forward to!
We should do the math and calculate how much those 69 consoles are in total. Because that’s crazy. That must be a world record for most game boys and DSs in one room

Thank you for hosting as always! This was my first official year participating, I went 10k last year quad hunting on sps, but got sick and stopped halfway through. This year I went almost 34k with 4 shinies! I can’t believe how much fun I’ve had shiny hunting. Thank you for the awesome videos and inspiration to start doing this all.
