hey guys! today I'm going to be fixing up Samantha parkington! she's a historical doll and also a pleasant company doll! I tighten her limbs, wash her hair, do a hot water dunk, and clean her skin! I hope you guys liked this video and found it helpful!! I love you guys!!

You did a great job of fixing her up! BTW this is a Mattel doll - Mattel continued to use Pleasant Company head stamps until 2008. The white tag on the side means it was made after the first Mattel revamp.
PC dolls from the 90’s don’t have a side tag. A few from the early 90’s do have a side tag that says ‘made in Germany’ , otherwise they have no tags. They’re also a lot chunkier and their shoulders are larger than Mattel dolls, which is a little annoying because Mattel outfits are tighter on them and not all the shoes fit. So it’s good that you had a doll with a Mattel body, she won’t have that issue! 😅

Ah!! i'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel (im quite new to AG-tube). It's always fun fixing up dolls that need a lil TLC. I got a Lea doll second hand who had frizzy hair, so we gave her a lil spa day, and now it's silky and soft! You did an awesome job with Samantha, she looks good as new!
Ooo she turned out lookin' brand new, you did such a good job doing it! I'll definitely have to look out for the doll too haha. Anytime I see somebody tighten the dolls limbs I like freak out. I'm terrified to do it ahhh lol ✨💕

Sophia I’ve done tightening limbs once, and the only hard thing about it was putting the head back on 😅😂
She looks identical to my Samantha- right down to the same problems (loose limbs, frizzy hair because younger me didn’t know how to style Saran hair, marked up body) and I have been wanting to fix mine up for years but have always been afraid to! This is a great video that made it seem like it’s something I could certainly do! Thank you so much!

Her hair is in really good shape for a doll that age. I restored Samantha one time, her hair was a mess. I was able to restore her, except for her hair. It’s still kind of dry. I washed her hair and conditioned it.then I rolled it on little pink rollers and let it dry 24hours. When I bought her my intention was to either re wig her or to send her to American Girl to restore her. After I finished with her, I didn’t want to change her. She’s really old. She is bigger then the current dolls. Yours turned out really good. I will be surprised if you can part with her. I still have mine, put up and in the dark so she doesn’t deteriorate. I love her!
