This was my ex girlfriends parting gift to me after an achingly difficult separation, and her having told me she is 'sleeping with someone else'. Her way of communicating her struggle, limitations or to my inability to cherish the nuance that can underpin relationships. Hard to tell even now. I forgive her, but boy does my heart smarts everytime I hear it. I'm here for it though as I have learnt so much through the loss. Music talks. Good work K Parker ❤
The emotion of this song.....Kevin poured his soul into it. This has to be the most beautiful, egotistical, amazing, narcissistic, honest, romantic, dysfunctional song I ever heard. This song is so hypnotic I hear it my head when it's not playing❤❤😍😍
There is nothing narcissistic about a person admitting who they are and saying that's the best they could do and there sorry for it. Its shitty that you think that.
Just saying! Its brutal and painful to admit when you make mistakes. This song is brutally honest. Cause it's hard for people to admit that they fucked up. And the fact that admitting it gives that person respect. Not very many people do that. Maybe you need to look that word up again.
@nathanielszczerbinski8449 I don't know if you think you're teaching me something here, but I don't need you or anyone else to tell me about admitting your fuck ups. I respect this song, the meaning of it, and the artist who made it. I also respect those who take responsibility for their mistakes. I said what I said. I'm entitled to my own opinion, just as you are. This song is brutally honest and wonderful. For me, it's personal. My husband, who died from Covid before we could work it out, was narcissistic, but I still loved him to the moon and back. If you had fully read my initial comment, maybe you would understand where I'm coming from. My husband gave no reasons for his irresponsibility, except that he's a grown man who makes his own decisions. This is a beautiful song that describes how a lot of men feel when they know they've been selfish and wrong. Sounds like narcissism to me. It's not a diss to the song, the artist, or any man out there. Hell, we're ALL a little narcissistic to a certain extent. We've all been guilty of fulfilling our own selfish needs without thinking about what we're doing to the other person. You're thinking too much and overreacting. It isn't that serious, and critical thinking isn't needed here. This was my experience and my interpretation of what the song means to me. If you disagree, that's ok. But there's absolutely no need to be an asshole about it. That's the beauty of music. We can all enjoy it, and we are ALL entitled to think what we think about it. Who the hell do you think you are telling me how to feel and think? Last time I checked, we all had free will and freedom of speech. You can hear that awesome crunch sound they did with Dua’s Houdini. 💚💕 Listening to tame impala today to see if I could recognize some of those textures & here they are. Awesome
Stunning visuals. They tell a story we all can relate to. The depictions of a troubled man who loves his woman but can't get his shit together are so transparent, articulate, and spot on. Temptation is a mf. My husband thought the grass was greener on the other side. He left me and our 5 daughters to move to another state with another woman. He came back home 4 months later. He still couldn't get his shit together, so we separated again. He moved out, and he died from Covid 2 months later. I didn't have time to prepare my mind for his sudden death, and now I'm struggling with grief and pain like I've never known before. I'm moving forward, but it's a slow process. This time of year is always hard for me. In September of 2019 my husband hit a girl who was walking with our truck as she was walking across the street. He left on October 2nd, 2019, our lives were changed forever. It marked the beginning of the end. I knew it was over long before he left. He had done so much damage to our family, our separation was inevitable. We had our share of problems, but even when we separated, we maintained a special love for each other. After my husband's death, I had an awakening. I've become wiser and stronger, I have a greater appreciation for life and love, and I have a greater understanding of things that were, are, and always will be. I've learned a lot about myself, the world around me, and mankind as a whole. Sometimes, life will take you to uncharted territory. You must sharpen your sense of direction and find the right path. The journey of life isn't easy. There are things and circumstances that can throw you off course. Things that distort your vision or knock you down completely. The moral of the story....don't take life and love for granted. We never know when our last day on Earth will be. Cherish the love and the memories because someday that may be all you have left.
kick it back to that 60's 70's trippy vibe with the guitar fuzz distortion, Rock n Roll baby! Shit I'd love to see Tame Impala do a cover of strawberry fields forever.

Honestly this is a masterpiece. The video for it is insane too.. Probably my favourite song/video ever. I sing it to myself nearly everyday for the past 3 years
Love this track!!!! Nothing but good energy!!!! And this isn't a misogynistic track at all!!! It's meant to be looked at from the perspective of "Cause I'm A Human" although he says "man" he's referring to his own personal shoes he walks, not in a sexist light though, he worded it like this he said to troll some ppl who would take him the wrong way when Kevin always proved to be the opposite of that path! Much love and blessings to everyone reading this!!!💚💚💚💚

You never accept defeat or let it slide

Tacostand aha true dat;)
You can hear that awesome crunch sound they did with Dua’s Houdini. 💚💕 Listening to tame impala today to see if I could recognize some of those textures & here they are. Awesome
This track has deep color and wisdom! I enjoy the entire thing.
Odyssey Into The Mind's Eye vibes
totally agree!
i love that no ones even attempting to explain the video
just let it be what you see yk??
i miss her so much. she showed me this song and i cry every night wishing she was with me and still telling me she loves me.
i love the meaning behind this song
“im a huumaaaan, huma-aa-aan. a greater force i answer tooo” beautiful ending
one of the greatest songs ever made. period.
Waa… what a touching story. I hope you are getting better
I am really sorry. Hope you're doing better now.
I think you just saved my life
kick it back to that 60's 70's trippy vibe with the guitar fuzz distortion, Rock n Roll baby! Shit I'd love to see Tame Impala do a cover of strawberry fields forever.
i found tame impala while on acid, and now i love em.

When an artist can create something that makes you feel its special. we all latch on and attached emotion and experience to it. the elements ,dynamics, and frequencies just hit you just right. i can close my eyes and see and feel by hearing sound. I really enjoy Tame impalas music!!!!!

One of my all time favorite tracks. He's apologetic and seductive at the same time.

2015 best year for music releases. Tame Impala, Pond, Homeshake, Mac Demarco, King Gizzard, Beach House, Ducktails and many more
Oh yeah and Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Of Montreal, BØRNS, and Deerhunter.
Cage the elephant
Wolf Alice Alabama Shakes Foals
Neon Indian

It's too short!!! Can't we have a 10-11 minute extended version of it? Seriously, that's my favorite song of the year so far.
The depth of this song can reach you in more than one way!!!
this songs make me look so cool
Shobhit Sadwal makes me feel cool
Nah man, don't worry about it
If your in 2020 and just reminiscing on the good days when currents came out like this and also HOLY SHIT the slow rush album is amazing
Honestly this is a masterpiece. The video for it is insane too.. Probably my favourite song/video ever. I sing it to myself nearly everyday for the past 3 years
Totally agree, this song is a Masterpiece.
We all have that one song
Hands down my favorite song by him! When ever I want to tune the world out around me I put on some Tame and just lose myself! 🔥
Much love and blessings to everyone reading this!!!💚💚💚💚
I fucking love tame impala
So do i.
Put video speed to 1.5 and turn this into a Michael Jackson song.
Danny James LOL holy shit
Danny James You, sir, deserve an award for this!

Danny James Holy Shit !!! yes hahaha Nice one Danny
I just heard this for the first time yesterday. It’s been in my head ever since.
That was brilliant!
The most beautiful thing to hear and see on my first LSD I was crying and replaying this for hours . Really made me reflect on my mistakes.
Can't describe the feelings I get in words. Just thanks to the parents that created the band members.
i can imagine going through the same shit as this ‘man’ you know. Falling in love instantly and getting your heart broken over and over... trying very hard to find love but always failing, and beating yourself up about it whenever it goes wrong (taking drugs, alcohol ect)
Just found these guys via a song playing in a retail store. Haven't heard a song I don't like yet...
+Fredrich Fernando
Okay dude....
Exactly....

Same, but I work for the retail store I hear it in everyday haha. That's one of the few songs that hasnt gotten old so I figured I'd listen to their other stuff. Impressed so far as well! ^.^
+Anatomical Entity We made him delete his comment. 😂😂
+Doplyn So he plays all the instruments and produces all of the musical tracks for his songs? Don't think so. lol

Literally speaking, every Tame Impala song hits me like a truck full of emotions
The goosebumps I get from the Bass Riffs my GOD
It has a “I only have eyes for you” shadow, specially the Art Garfunkel’s version.
Amazing
