When going filming in Abu Dhabi once we were stopped with our hold bag and asked to empty the contents after it had been through the X-ray machine something all bags have to go through on arrival there.. we kept taking out all the things we thought they may want to see but they kept saying "No..No". eventually we came to a bag holding our headphone so we opened that. "Ah Yes that is it" they said " we thought they were handcuffs". We repacked and went on our way.

Sure. The insurance we use is called "I'm Sound Versicherung". They are specialized to insure sound gear.
Ihr seid schon extrem organisiert, was das angeht. Aber es geht ja auch gar nicht anders. Ich stelle es mir auch als große Herausforderung vor, mit sehr wenig Kleidung auszukommen. Da müsst ihr ja sicher immer als erstes nach Waschmöglichkeiten schauen, wenn ihr irgendwo ankommt. Wollte eigentlich schon mal der Zoll Rechnungen für das Equipment sehen und habt ihr die dann immer dabei?

Hi Til! Waschen ist kein Problem. Die meisten Wohnungen die wir anmieten haben Waschmaschinen. Ansonsten gehen wir in Waschsalon's. Der Zoll hat uns noch nie Probleme gemacht aber Rechnungen haben wir immer als pdf online in der cloud.
