Everyone has different results. But everyone has lost weight! So I tried the diet. I lost 4 pounds in 3 days. I'm 50 years old, and going through menopause. It seem that nothing helps me lose weight. I'm celebrating the 4lbs and will go another round. 🥳
I did it then took 2 days off then back again on the diet at first I feel weak but after 2 weeks I start having more energy and my stomach was getting full with a lil bit food on the 2days the I was off like my stomach was getting smaller and not to mention when I start seeing how many pounds I was loosing I was getting more motivated...I went from 4x to large in 2 months ...good luck
It helps to do intermittent fasting too. I drink nothing but coffee or tea at eat at 12, 3, 6. If I get an urge to snack I drink water, tea, coffee. This diet does two things once you pass 3 days. You lose 10lbs. You gain confidence and understanding you have self-control of your eating habits. -Discipline
This diet worked I lost 15lbs on the first three day. I held off for 4 days did it again lost 10 more. On my 4 days off I kinda still watched what I ate avoided anything high in calories ate a high protein high fiber diet. It really helped me to boost my weight loss journey. I have went from 320lbs to 250. Very pleased with this. Thank you for the help.
@@Gloria-qi2qx yes. I’ve done Keto before too on third day I could tell my body was adjusting to diet and breaking down stored energy (fat). It will shrink your stomach since ur not eating as much. I tried eating a “fair size” corn dog and could feel full just from eating half. (4th day)
Pure garbage advice. Losing weight is simple math - burn more calories than you consume. This idiotic video doesn't even mention this obvious and simple fact.
I tried this diet 3 years ago, and after doing this diet for 3 days, I really lose 10 lbs (52 kg to 48 kg). Aside from this, this diet taught me self-discipline . It is not easy to control your cravings, to prevent yourself from not eating snacks and to eat meals with lower calories than what you used to eat. Today, I'm maintaining my 42.5 kg weight (my BMI is normal), and I stopped doing this diet for almost 2 years already, but I still carry the discipline that this diet taught me regarding eating. P.S. If you're planning to do this diet, I recommend you to do this during your day off or if you're a student, do this if you don't have any classes. It may shock your body especially when you used to eat 2k+ calorie meal, then you will suddenly shift to 1,500 calorie meal or lower, and yes, don't overexercise yourself when you're on a military diet. Lastly, learn how to say no if someone offer you an unhealthy food (decline nicely or make excuses).
Day 1 : Breakfast : - a piece of whole wheat or multigrain toast with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (if you’re allergic to peanut butter you could do almond butter, pumpkin butter, sunflower see butter or bean dip) - half a grapefruit -a cup of black coffee or caffeinated tea (you can’t add any sugar, or any type of cream/sugar sweetener | you could drink water instead of coffee or tea but it wouldn’t be as beneficial, or green tea is another option because it burns calories) Lunch : - a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast (no peanut butter or any spreads) - add 1/2 cup of tuna on your plate (without any mayonnaise) - for a beverage : water, green tea or black coffee (again, no sugar sweeteners, sugar or cream) (If you want to season your food, stick to seasonings like pepper, garlic salt, honey mustard or any other low/no calorie seasonings) Dinner : - you can eat 3 ounces of any meat you prefer - add a cup of green beans on your plate - half a banana - a small apple - one cup of ice cream (optional) Day 2 : Breakfast : - a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast with one whole egg : hard-boiled or scrambled or fried (if you scramble your eggs, no using milk and if you fry your eggs, no oils) - half a banana Lunch : - one cup of cottage cheese or a slice of cheddar cheese - a hard boiled egg - 5 saltine crackers Dinner : - 2 hot dogs (without buns and any sauces) - add half a cup of carrots - a cup of broccoli - half a banana (The veggies should be boiled, steamed or eaten raw and the meat should be baked or grilled) - half a cup of ice cream (optional) or half a cup of apple juice or vanilla or strawberry flavoured almond milk Day 3 : Breakfast : - 5 saltine crackers (if you’re tired of saltine crackers, you could have a rice cake for each cracker) - one slice of cheddar cheese (if you don’t want cheese again you can have a piece of ham, a boiled egg, cabbage or soy cheese) - a small apple - don’t forget your green tea or black coffee Lunch : - a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast - a boiled egg (if you’re bored with the egg you can have a cup of milk, two pieces of bacon or a chicken wing Dinner : - one cup of tuna - half a banana - a cup of vanilla ice cream
For those having trouble keeping track, I made a summary. Day 1: - Breakfast: Slice of bread (whole wheat/ multi grain) + 2 tbps. of peanut butter + 1/2 grapefruit - Lunch: Slice of bread (whole wheat/ multi grain) + 1/2 cup of tuna - Dinner: 3 oz. of any meat + 1 cup green beans + 1 apple + 1/2 banana + 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream (optional) Day 2: - Breakfast: Slice of bread (whole wheat/ multi grain) + 1 egg (boiled or scrambled) + 1/2 banana - Lunch: 1 cup of cottage cheese or a slice of cheddar cheese + 1 egg (boiled) + 5 saltine crackers - Dinner: 2 hot dogs (no buns) + 1/2 cup of carrots + 1 cup broccoli + 1/2 banana + 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream (optional) Day 3: - Breakfast: Slice of cheddar cheese or 1 egg + 5 saltine crackers or rice cake + 1 apple - Lunch: Slice of bread (whole wheat/ multi grain) + 1 egg (boiled) or 2 pc. bacon. - Dinner: 1 cup of tuna + 1/2 banana + 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream (optional) For beverages: you can drink green tea, black coffee or water any time.
I've lost over 20 pounds!!! I did the process over and over but I recommend to just take 4 day breaks in between the diets so you dont endanger your health
When I was younger I used to do the military diet without knowing there was such thing as a military diet. My routine was to eat the foods mentioned for 3 days then on the 4th day, I’d eat semi-unhealthy to trick my body then on the 5th day back on the military diet. Let me tell you, you lose weight!!!!! Then of course after reaching your desired weight, just eat healthy to maintain your weight. It’s not that hard if you have discipline.
@@mainprimary1481 duh, trust me more teens have more self-discipline when it comes to diets than adults do. Mainly having to do with the fact that teens are pressed by society.
yes, the 4 day off is not good it should be a 6-day diet one day off. anything you eat just stores in your body and even if you eat like a pound of food it will retain with water and be like you never went on the diet at all sadly I been through this hot mess too.
Started this today. I was in great shape and put on a few pounds. Going to do the military workout once I’ve completed the diet. Respect to the military
I remember my grandma doing this diet when I was a kid. I'm 45 now. I think it was called the mayo clinic diet then. Every time she needed to lose weight real quick for something she would do the diet and have success on it. The hardest part for her was still having to cook grandpa three big meals a day. Looking back now, grandma was a little woman who didn't even need to diet. I miss them so much.
@@tjjohal3375 I'm actually on day four of a water-fast right now. Before that I was on a three day dry-fast. I haven't eaten or drank anything except water in 7 days and for the first three days I didn't even drink water.
@@tjjohal3375 Yes and no, right now, 7 days in, I am currently down 16 lbs. But I am aware that when I start eating again a portion of that is going to immediately come back. So, realistically I'm probably down about 8-9 lbs. The most weight I've ever lost in a single month of intermittent fasting is 32 lbs. and out of that about 7 came back when I started eating again.
I tired it and it did work. I lost 6.5lbs in exact 3 days. Doing it every weekend for the next month along with my juice diet and exercise. I feel amazing!!
I did this last year and lost 6.5lb the first time and between 2-4 lb every following week for several weeks. I went from 230lb to 204lb in 11 weeks. Today, I woke up at 212lb, which means I've gained 8lb this year. I refuse to get as big as I was and I'm back on this diet. wish me luck.
I have tried it and in 3 days I lost 2.5 kgs Then I left for 4 days..now I have started again but this time no weight loss...why????? Plz plz help meeee
I can honestly say this will work. I have done it in the past due to a military recruiter telling me if I wanted to join the Navy I needed to lose at least 10 pounds in a week to show him I was serious and wasting his time. I did this diet along with alot of Eliptical exercise every day for 6 days straight and lost almost 14-15 pounds. In less than a week.
@@love_587 hey 👋. I did about 30-35 minutes on the eliptical or until the machine would indicate that I lost 2000 calories. I don’t know how accurate the machines were but thats what I did. And I would run for like 10-15 minutes on the treadmill but mostly I did the Elliptical like 85-90% of the time. But dieting was key and also telling yourself your a soldier helped ALOT! Hopefully it works for you and work hard for your wanted results 🫡
I've done this diet. However, I went extreme mode on it. Followed every instruction to the tee, but I did the diet for 3 days, rested for one day, then did another 3 days of the diet. I lost 8 lbs in one week. It works you just have to stick to the instructions and try and not do too many substitutions. We input the meals on a counting calorie app and it comes up as less than 1000 calories for all three meals in one day. Another side effect is that once you're not on a day where you follow the diet, you find that you cannot eat the portion sizes that you used to before the diet. So it helps you lower your portion sizes on your plate even on non-diet days, thus you continue to lose weight. As long as you keep up it up, it does work.
Irma Arellano it's also incredibly unhealthy to do this. For a female to lose weight at a healthy rate, you would need to consume about 1200 calories per day. Doing a diet like this will just make you malnourished.
Victoria Cooper I know it's not healthy. I just used it as a jump start. Once my body got used to smaller portions, I ate regular food, healthy food, and smaller portions. Plus moderate exercise. However in the instructions I received, they recommended that the diet shouldn't be done for more than six weeks. Which is why I just used it as a jump start to get my body used to smaller portions. Other than that, I don't know who named it a military diet. I was given the diet instructions but no one ever claimed it to me as a military diet. In fact, if I remember the instructions, I was told that it was just meant to be a temporary thing for people that needed to lose weight before a major surgery because the extra weight might cause complications during surgery. Since I knew neither of those applied to me I just did it to jump start a healthier lifestyle and that was it.
Madelyn Morris yes. They encourage that you drink lots of water to deal with the hunger pangs if you're hungry but it's not time for one of your meals yet. Plus water has no calories so it doesn't add to the calorie count for the day. And it also gives you the option to add a little bit of salt or pepper to things if you want to give them a little taste.
Tried it twice. Lost 11 lbs both times. Never going to do it again. Started Intermittent Fasting back in September. Started at ~213 lbs, now I’m 181 and still eating my favorite foods.
Habeeb Islam yeah man, the military diet sucks but it does work. IF is kind of hard at first because of the morning fast, but you get used to. I definitely recommend it
I started this diet at 291 and was able to drop 7 lbs, now weighing 284 lbs, I feel this diet is very manageable(always looked forward to the ice cream), it has taught me that my issue has always been snacking. I plan on staying on a sensible diet and will do the diet every Monday -Wednesday until I meet my goal.
Neither is difficult. You just gotta know to stay under maintenance calories or else you gain. Simple math. And finding out what's easy to stick to. Willpower runs out and isn't always around. You gotta actually learn how to diet and learn your body
@@a.augustine1234 Losing weight can be easy for everyone. It's the foods they are accustomed to that make it difficult. The more sugar you eat and carbs, the more hungry you get and crave more and more. Also most people get high calorie small volume meals from fast food. So they only are able to eat very little and are craving since it's all high carb. Learning it is key
I did a similar diet several years ago, although it was long term (about 5 months). Also included two 20 minute periods of light exercise. Lost 75 lbs.
Wow Larry! That's awesome! My goal is similar to yours. Would love to hear about that diet, if you don't mind. It's hard enough with the 3 days on 2nd and 3rd time around.
I will go on a diet and keep you updated I promise Starting weight: 178 November 17th 2018161 As of January 2nd 2019: 148 As of April 1st 2019: 135 Edit: I’ve given up on the military diet Bc it stopped working after the 2nd time I tried it. What I do now is drink LOTS of water and 2 meals a day.
I saw this diet years ago, called the 3 Day Miracle Diet. The rules included that you could alternate days, as long as it was 3 days in the week. That made it easier to stick to the diet, and the body wouldn't go into starvation mode and slow the metabolism. Still lost 10 lbs!
This worked for me! I lost 6 pounds but I took a 2 day break. This morning im starting again. My arms, waist, and tummy are looking so much slimmer and I've gotten compliments !
I think this is wrong because of 2 main reasons. First, even though it is technically possible to lose a few pounds in 3 days, most of which will be water and even muscle mass, and very little fat (which should be your goal). Second, this kind of diet is not suited for every individual. For example, an older 120 lbs woman does not have same caloric and nutritional needs as a 200 lbs teenage athlete. To get a personalized and sustainable diet, I suggest contacting a personal trainer or nutritionist. If you can't afford a specialist for any reason, you can get it created online. Dietarize, for example, worked fine for me, but you can search by yourself as there are many good diet assistants available nowadays.
The VA puts patients on this diet and call it The cardiac 3 day diet. They choose this for people who need heart surgery. It works! I tried it just for the heck of it
I did intermittent fasting instead of 3 meals per day. I started with 16 hours fasting and 8 hours eating period (16-8) for a week. Then moved to 18-6, then 20-4. I shuffle every week. If I'm hungry, I just drink water or coffee during the fasting period. This is my 6th week-7th week. So far so good. From 225 lbs, my weight now is 205 lbs. My goal weight is 160 lbs. I don't exercise. It is hard to maintain, especially if you live with parents and relatives. Lol.
I did intermittent fasting and I lost nothing😔 then again I eat half unhealthy. But I don’t eat that much at the same time. Idk. Did you change your diet?
@@americxno Yes, I changed it. 2 months ago, I cannot eat without rice. I removed the rice from my diet. I removed the snacks between meals as well. It's hard at first. I sneaked foods here and there. But if you really want to make this happen, you have to sacrifice something. I did not change my diet completely, I just removed the rice and the snacks, and just eat within the eating period. I also lessen the amount of food I eat during eating period. I used to be very full after eating, but now, I eat just to have food in my stomach. Drink water, tea or coffee without sugar if you feel hungry during fasting period. Don't eat snacks, because that's the reason some people don't lose weight.
Roseller Simbulan alright thanks! I drink a lot of tea anyway and I only eat two meals and 1 or 2 snacks, I usually don’t have grains in my diet anyway. I’ll start by getting rid of my snacks!
Intermittent fasting diet is going to mess up your bathroom time. I quit after over 1 years diet. I lost 10 LBS, but i had a hard time to use bathroom. Never never again by using intermittent lasting diet. This military diet could work. Eating 3 meals a day on time, but with limited food. Will try.
I tried this diet and man does it work,I lost ten pounds in two days I’m not kidding.I followed the diet to the teeth.I exercise for 1hour in my bike instead of walking.this diet is unbelievable,I tried a lot of other diets and when I didn’t see results I quit but this one is insane,I love it and will continue, thank you so much for adding this method you tube.I recommend to everyone 100%.peace out .
It would not work for Diabetics, but it does work well for those who are used to fasting. My father introduced it to me when I was a teen and I lost ten kilos in a month. I do have a thyroid condition but this diet works for me. Look forward to losing the weight gained throughout 2020 and 2021 due to a myriad of reasons which are of my own making.

*This diet is great for when you want to lose weight fast but don’t be disappointed if you gain the weight back. If you want to keep you’re weight, try eating healthy everyday (without cutting calories) and working out.*
I've been on this diet for almost 3 months, and I've lost 52 pounds so far... This diet really does work, but one thing I disagree with... Breakfast on day 2 is not better than breakfast on day 1. That's BS. I love my whole grain peanut butter toast with a half of grapefruit! As a matter of fact, I'm eating it right now!
Joshua Carter do you like just recycle the order like repeat it after day 3 and start at day 1 again? Because I’ve been thinking about doing this long term too
I lost 8 pounds the first week. A total of 11 pounds so far.I did it for the month of May. I didn't do everything exactly right and I am currently on my second day in June. I can truly see that I lost weight. I am planning on doing everything exactly right this time. I will let you know! Thanks to my coworker for sharing!
it’s really not that hard, i think it may be more difficult for people who are used to eating large meals though. i have a small appetite and normally snack around more than i eat whole meals and i did this diet almost two years ago n i don’t recall struggling too much.
What they don't tell you is to add to your diet three drill instructors straight from the pit of hell, who make you run everywhere you go, and forces you to complete the O-course, infiltration courses, and bayonet assault courses, in record time, multiple times a day. Also, add in missing a meal because your platoon pissed that drill instructor off. OORAH!
Erick Pimentel LMAO! I forgot about that shit lmao! When you're going through boot camp, you often wonder why you signed up, but when you're done, and in the fleet, you look back at it, and laugh your ass off.
This has been the ONLY diet I’ve been able to do since it’s for 3 day only. I do not lose the whole 10 lbs BUT my clothes feel better & it I feel great. We just have to be consistent. Love it !!!
@@aliceannaq I lost 6 lbs the first week but I do have to say I did not do any walking nor drank water as much as I should have since my job requires sitting down all day. But on the second week I lost another 6 and I was happy. You might not see the loss of weight but you feel the inches off and your clothes fit much better.
@@mariafernandez6222 Yes indeed. Keep an eye on those inches. Went on a diet years ago and after several weeks had lost only 5 pounds. Heartbroken at first but then realized those 5 pounds translated into 11 inches lost. Mainly around the waist area. Weird.
I did this diet for 3 days as a start and I saw that I lost about 4 pounds without exercise putting my weight from 193 to 188. I have continued this diet consistently, and now another week later I am down to 181!!! I’m doing this diet because I need to get my weight down to 165 to join the military. I am so amazed and I firmly believe I can drop the extra 20 before my goal date! If you’re reading this and feel hesitant, don’t! Give it a try yourself although it is very hard the first three days. Your weight varies on 80% of what you eat and 20% exercise. Give this diet some time and you’ll see results in no time!
ninyobasquet don't ever call this a "military diet." If you were ever in the military you'd know that this shit wouldn't even make up half your breakfast. Stupid ass diet smh
Been using this diet for decades. It is tough. Starts out okay, and by the second day you think “I’ve got this.” By the end of day 2 and day 3, it gets really tough though. You really lack energy on top of starving. It is really mentally distracting too. However, it does work. I’ve never lost 10 lbs., but always at least 8. The hard part is eating normal the next 4 days and not gorging. Every time I did the diet, I swore I’d never do it again, but I have. After all, it does work.
You should always care about your health. Losing weight for an unsustainable plan like this will backfire! As soon as you go back to eating normal, guess what happens? Yep, gain it all back and then some! Also bear in mind that losing weight solely through dieting means that you'll lose some body fat and some lean muscle mass. Losing lean muscle slows down your metabolism, which makes it harder to keep weight off. It's a vicious cycle.
i know no one asked but.... i lost 7 pounds!!! EDIT: I only did this diet for 3 days and have stopped. I have been able to maintain this weight by eating healthy meals, running everyday and participating in zumba classes 2 times a week. EDIT 2: Over a year later and I’ve gotten down to 126, down from 154 when I started.
yeah I was about to say in the air force it was 1 boiled egg every morning soon as we got up at 5 a.m. then lunch was a apple an dinner was mostly the hot trey.
i cant believe it but this diet works. I am incorporating some of this into my regular diet. I started dieting a few months ago and I had lost 25 lbs doing intermittent 20:4. I had not lost any weight for 3 weeks. I lost 6 lbs by day 3 on the military diet. I was very pleased.
Great diet, lost 6 kg. I had some modifications done like switching the 2 tbs of peanut butter for Hummus and added a bit more broccoli but otherwise followed strictly, eating every 4 hours and fasting after 7pm. Added a daily 10 min full body workout and a 30 min walk or 15 min yoga. Achieved better results than expected. I believe it would have been even better If was not working from home and being as active as usual.
Finished day 3. Need to weigh myself tomorrow. My stomach hasn’t changed. I probably lost like 2.5 . Not near enough 10lbs in 3 days. 😒 we'll see tomorrow.
@@howtoskatewithanfour6889 Tbh “lose weight fast” isn’t going to help unless you change your diet and eat right. I did this a while back and I gained it back since I wasn’t use to being in a diet and now I eat portions and eat whatever I want and lost more weight and toned up my body, I’ve learned a lot once I started hitting the gym everyday and eating right and not doing a “lose weight overnight” thing. But this diet definitely worked if you did it right 💯
My thyroid was removed when I was 22 and now I'm 39 and still haven't been able to get the weight I've gained over the years no matter what diet I stick to I truly suffer. The only way and I mean the only way I've ever lost weight is by fasting and it's misery and unfair but on the bright side my cancer is gone and I'm still here lol
Congratulations on your cancer being gone. It took 2 surgeries and radiation treatments , hopefully my thyroid cancer is gone. Still waiting to hear from the doctor. I unfortunately gained 50 pounds with this ordeal. I would never do this diet, as your not getting the nutrients your body needs. Good luck in life. May you have a happy and healthy life.
I also had my thyroid removed and my Doctor told me to not eat any carbs. I lost 2lbs in the first week and then my daughter bought me some pasta that she had made and then something more and so on. I am working on saying no and hopefully will loose weight.
I was 247 and lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I Followed the military diet exactly like it said. I counted the calories consumed on the military diet so that i could see the calorie count. The count was under 1000 calories per day. After day 3, I moved up to 1500 calories a day for 4 weeks, then 1800 calories 2 weeks, now I keep my calories count at 2000 per day. I do have my cheat days every other wkend.
If you're gonna do this diet, I recommend doing this once or twice a month, but mainly once a month... Otherwise you're going to be very sleepy and probably wanting to faint, and you're going to realize this when you're working out (either with weights, cardio, or a team practice). I haven't done this challenge but I'm a heavy guy (225lbs my freshman year) I haven't been consuming enough sugar during track season and I was very sleepy during workouts and I felt like fainting; but this challenge does work, my sister has done it a few times. Lol I'm just looking out for y'all
This is starvation you fool. People who are serious about losing weight and the hard work that has to be put into it are aware this is just soem bullshit where you starve for 3 days and then put back double the weight when it’s over.
And just for your info, a stomach doesn’t shrink in just 3 days, it takes over 3 years if not more. You just get a higher chance of developing ulcers, fucking up your metabolism, and binge eating after the “diet” is over.
Shopping list anybody wondering!! butter(soy butter, pumpkin butter, flower seed butter or bean dip) (if your allergic to peanut butter) -Whole wheat or multi grain bread -Grape fruit -Black coffee, caffinated tea (water but tea and coffee are better) (NO SUGAR OR CREAMER ALOWED OR AND SWEET AT ALL FOR DRINK) Tuna (no mayonnaise) Pepper garlic salt honey mustard( no or little calorie seasonings only!) 3 ounce steak Apple Bannana Ice-cream Green bean Egg Cottage cheese Cheddar cheese Saltine cracker Hotdogs no bun Half cup carrots Broccoli Green tea Anyways no problem
This diet works. I made some substitutions, every time he said to have toast I had a small cheese pizza. When he said to have an egg I would have a cheeseburger. Instead of the two hot dogs I had a 10 ounce New York strip. For the fruit and vegetables I substituted french fries except the dinner where I substituted poutine, I am Canadian and that's just the law here. Instead of tea or coffee I would drink a clear alcohol in the mornings, vodka or gin, and Canadian rye whiskey at dinner. I did better than he said I would, in three days I actually gained 12 pounds, not 10! Thanks for the great video!
Todd Blinks except if you're a wrestler in high schools since making weight and getting into your weight class/lower class gets hard af. One of my friends shaved all his hair to make weight 😂😂
Just finished this diet, no cheating at all. I lost 6 pounds. Went from 238 to 232. I did a small amount of cardio and light weight lifting and drank plenty of water. I think the key will be to try to keep the weight off until I do this diet again in 4 days. It sucked being hungry all the time, but 6 lbs in 3 days is pretty good.
What they don't tell you is that all this weight your loosing is water weight. Doctors (yes real people who know about the human body) have been telling people for years that if you fast (which is basically what your doing on this diet) your body sheds between 10-15 lbs of fluid in preparation for hibernation, or a dormant feeding period. It something we've kept from the times our species had to forage for food. In fact, what the body does, on a diet like this, is store as much fat as it can in anticipation of a long period without food. Exercise is the best way to get in shape. But that it slow. If you try to do it too fast you will be overcome, burned out too quickly, and give up. Remember, a baby doesn't learn to walk in a week. It takes many weeks, a little at a time, until it's body and mind can build the strength and balance to do it. And even then it's only for a short time. After that it takes many more weeks/years before it is strong enough to run. Slow and steady wins the race.
It is basically a yoyo diet which is very bad for your body. What you should do, is eat healthier (meaning no to little snacking/drinking alcohol, eating more vegetables, nuts, etc. and a bit less meat, more wholegrain bread etc.) or work out a lot and eat more proteins. Definitely do not fast, recover 5 days, fast again. You'll only become fatter as your body is getting confused and your metabolism could become unstable. Also any proper diet will tell you to drink a lot of water for numerous reasons.
Then you wouldn't loose the 10 lbs. When you first start exercising you should drink allot of water. Most exercise regimens state that you need to hydrate while doing them to keep from loosing that 10 lbs of fluid too quickly. Which can cause you to get dehydrated. Which causes fatigue, dizziness, and muscle spasms, to name a few. This is what puts many people off of the regimen.
Screamin Eagle not entirely true I lost 21 pounds doing this along with running twice a day...i drank at least 1 gallon of water a day to help me avoid feeling hungry and staying hydrated
So you lost 21 pounds in 3 days? You lost 21 pounds on this diet while running and drinking lots of water? I'm sorry but I don't get what's not entirely true. If your talking about the part where I say that you need to exercise and drink water while doing it, then your in agreement with what I am saying. Running twice a day IS exercising. And drinking a gallon of water IS staying hydrated.
I lost about 50 lbs. in three months. For Breakfast: Plain wheat cereal with coconut milk, fruits and nuts. I also would eat sugar free/fat free yogurt sometimes. Lunch: Turkey or chicken tacos with corn tortillas and veggies or Healthy Choice microwaveable meals. Dinner: Big chicken salad. Mix things up or substitute your ingredients but stay similar. For snacks, eat real fruits that you cut up yourself. Pay attention to your salt, sugar and fat intake. Keep them levels low. Eat smaller portions of meat and dairy products than what you usually would eat. Drink lots of water too. Take long fast walks everyday. At least for an hour. Good luck.

Lastly, learn how to say no if someone offer you an unhealthy food (decline nicely or make excuses).
good for you and thanks for the tips : )>

- add 1/2 cup of tuna on your plate (without any mayonnaise)

Irma Arellano+ That's all I needed to find out from a person who actually did this diet!! Thank you so much!!
During your diet did you drink a lot of water or no? I'm planning on doing this diet, the same reason as you and wanted to do it 100% right
Madelyn Morris yes.

Omg this really works, I did it & lost 8lbs. I was super excited
So it really does work?
Then you ate normal for 1 day and gained it back.
2yrs later & here I am. Starting this Monday, wish me luck!
Good luck!
How is it?
Did it work?
Mira Y It definitely did. You just have to be committed. It teaches you self discipline
ATB angeltheboss it’s hard but it’s going pretty good
I think this is wrong because of 2 main reasons.
Same you will probably gain more weight than you lost after few days
The VA puts patients on this diet and call it The cardiac 3 day diet. They choose this for people who need heart surgery. It works! I tried it just for the heck of it

But the question is if you go back to eating normally on day 4 will you gain the weight back?
@@sarahemad1610 I did but not as fast as I thought . Bout a week or so after put on 2 pounds. I didn't eat as I normally would rite away.
Will try.
What are you at now.. 1 year later?

Been using this diet for decades. It is tough. Starts out okay, and by the second day you think “I’ve got this.” By the end of day 2 and day 3, it gets really tough though. You really lack energy on top of starving. It is really mentally distracting too. However, it does work. I’ve never lost 10 lbs., but always at least 8. The hard part is eating normal the next 4 days and not gorging. Every time I did the diet, I swore I’d never do it again, but I have. After all, it does work.
You need a lot of will power for this diet but, it does work, this is my go to diet when I want to loose some weight fast. Try it, it will work!
linda morris I'm vegetarian I'm made of will power
This diet is actually kinda not good for you

You should always care about your health. Losing weight for an unsustainable plan like this will backfire! As soon as you go back to eating normal, guess what happens? Yep, gain it all back and then some! Also bear in mind that losing weight solely through dieting means that you'll lose some body fat and some lean muscle mass. Losing lean muscle slows down your metabolism, which makes it harder to keep weight off. It's a vicious cycle.
i know no one asked but.... i lost 7 pounds!!!

i cant believe it but this diet works.

I haven't done this challenge but I'm a heavy guy (225lbs my freshman year) I haven't been consuming enough sugar during track season and I was very sleepy during workouts and I felt like fainting; but this challenge does work, my sister has done it a few times.

Your shrinking your stomach people. This is a diet not a vacation. So if you're serious about losing those pounds you won't stress about it.
What's a 'stomach people'?
This is starvation you fool. People who are serious about losing weight and the hard work that has to be put into it are aware this is just soem bullshit where you starve for 3 days and then put back double the weight when it’s over.
And just for your info, a stomach doesn’t shrink in just 3 days, it takes over 3 years if not more. You just get a higher chance of developing ulcers, fucking up your metabolism, and binge eating after the “diet” is over.
Harry is a kitten - it does not take 3 years to shrink your stomach🤦🏻♀️

And drinking a gallon of water IS staying hydrated.
kill me
I used to do this all the time when I was in my early 20's!

Good luck.
