- Sometimes at night, I'm just lying around, preferably around my bed area, and then suddenly my eyes open somehow by themselves, and I have a stroke of genius. That's exactly how it was with this project here. This is a creation I made for the VAULT 2 release by Sizzix and Tim Holtz. It represents a mini craft room in a vignette tray, and I've built a few small paint boxes with the help of the die cuts that came with the new release. In this video, I'd like to show you how I made this thingy and also how I grunged up some empty bottles and jars from the Ranger mediums to include them here as an upcycled element. So if you're interested in seeing what I've made over several days in about an hour, then I'd be happy to take you on this little journey through this project and show you most of my process, and of course, share with you some tips and tricks on how you can make something like this yourself.

You might find adding some air dry clay or polymer clay to your craft supplies handy too, as you can make your own versions of pretty much anything out of clay. Especially if you’re talented at painting

You have quite the knack for modeling miniatures. I have an appreciation for that because my father had a miniature railroad and made his own buildings and scenery. He would have been quite impressed with your miniature 3-D creations! When I first saw the photo of the paintbox I thought you had used all real paintboxes! It's fantastic.
