For me, the 1st 3 products you've shown... collage paper, tape, and rubs, it's the shine texture left behind. The rubs [I'm on a tight tight tight budget] I go for stamps that do not have to be replaced. But when you were asking, "why why why"? Just helping answer on my why. If I had the money? Yes yes yes. 😂
I love TH products, but I can often find a similar product for much less. And being on a super tight budget also, I have to go with the cheaper product.
I don't know who you craft with or where you get the idea that these products are underrated darlin', but the only people I know that do not use the aforementioned products are not fans of Tim Holtz or the grunge style. (Very few people I might add. Lol) Maybe you're just missing when they're being used. In fact I just made a huge sheet of strips of all of my Tim Tapes so I wouldn't forget which ones I have so I use them more.😊
I'm very familiar using them. As I said in my comment yall are replying to. I just made a suggestion that because the video kept saying why aren't people using these- I noticed the main ones were disposable products. Like once you use them they are gone. Instead of like hus stamps that can be used over and over. I'm on a tight budget so I first buy what I can use the most. Stamp or tape? Stamp. Then I get any extras. I'm very familiar and have tons of products. Just offering why some people were not getting them. They are not cheap. Not all crafters have disposable incomes.
I glue collage papers to boxes to reuse them to create neat gift boxes and on the walls of a small closet shelf. It results in a beautiful all-over collage but much easier to create than with stamps and ephemera. Plus its smooth and you can still embellish it with watercolor pencils or stamps.
The crazy thing about these underrated products from Tim Holtz took my breath away! I have just about all of these things except the spritz, water pens, and rubs. After watching this amazingly useful video. I tried the collage paper and embossing powder. Next, I am going to use the textured grit paste on a couple of tags. I made 27 small tags for my ABC's of Faith. So now I can use these techniques to complete them. I will make sure to tag you. Thank you for all of your creative advice, while showing how to do it. Keeping my fingers crossed to receive Happy Mail from you. Until next video, stay blessed❤
I Love Tim Holtz collage paper and remnant rubs so much that I am using them along with other papers, stamps etc., to decoupage tiles that I am working into a mosaic backsplash for our kitchen…turning out super awesome! Love this video series you are doing…thanks!
Thank you for these 2 videos, I just caught up with them. I am so glad you took the time to put them out there for us.. There are so many products and tools out in the world, and I love seeing reminders and the wonderful inspiration they evoke. The love and thoughtfulness put into them is reflected in your passion and creations. As a long time Tim Holtz fan, I have these products and I have been digging into my stash and making more use of them. The possibilities are endless. Thank you, thank you!
I am so glad I came across your channel. I love your work and the way you approach crafting in general. I am not a big Patreon person, but had to support this channel! You inspire and encourage in every video. I am grateful for your work!
YES! I’m so glad to see someone preaching stencils and paste as those are my favorite TH products. Actually, my fave is probably Ranger transparent gloss paste. But I have and love and USE a lot of the TH pastes too. Stencils and pastes are also easy on the budget. I’m so glad I just stumbled across your channel. New sub!
Yes, Holtz’s products are wonderful but,for me, they’re expensive and one can usually make one’s own items very, very similar to his. They’re a fantastic inspiration but I need, as I’m sure many are, on a tight budget and mostly need to make things myself from scratch. I can’t afford to use his things in an effort to have quick results. Also, I prefer my own designs that I make.
I have three rolls of Tim's plain collage paper. He said they were being discontinued and I bought an extra roll and then I got another from Simon Says Stamp in a mystery box (I think). I like to stamp on it and use on cards in a collage manner. I use the remnant rub tool instead of a pokey tool for removing the back of adhesives and other things I would need to use my fingernail for as I tend to make holes in my project when I use the pokey tool. I'm using stencils in a bunch of different ways for my Valentine makes and having a ton of fun. Love your work and enthusiasm.
❤Thanks for the reminders about our Timmy supplies ❤Please continue to keep us on our toes about using our supplies ❤Please make more videos using the these products ❤God best blessings for you ❤
First, I absolutely love your channel and the beautiful envelopes. I’m in awe of them. I’m new to his products and I love all of the beautiful things. I just don’t know how to use them. I’m so inspired after his lives and realizing I’m not very good at much of it. I appreciate the tutorials where I can see and listen to the steps a talented someone uses to create. Thanks for sharing!
I loved this video! You reminded me of products I have ignored for months! I really needed reminded of collage paper. I own every one of them and then forget to use them!
Is very interesting your approach with these materials of Tim Holtz. I owe all of them and I have used all of them, but the difference is that I don't use them too much for card making. I mainly use them for alterations, tags and art journaling. I've also use the collage paper for decorating the house in certain furniture and even for light switch plates, I have a video for that. Overall I think all of these things are great to use in your own projects and do what you love the most. Thanks for the video it was great and refreshing to see a different approach :)
I just found your channel, and I’m impressed. This is a great video and I love your enthusiasm. I’ve already learned a lot and this is just from one video! 😀🇨🇦
Thankyou for sharing this,I have most of these products that I keep forgetting to use,You have given so many cool 😎 ideas ❤ people that receive your beautiful envelopes must be very happy, they gorgeous 😍
I use the collage papers and I love them. I love using the distress paints and painting the back of the collage paper and letting it dry, before laying it down. The end results turn out so cool! I also love and use the remnant rubs all the time too. They are fantastic!
I looooooove the Tim Holtz rice paper!!! It is wonderful to use it on my cigar boxes, but it is so hard now to get some, because of the high shipping costs! Thnk you for your inspiration!!! Love it, hugs, angel.
Well, well, this was FANTASTIC. THANK YOU!!! As someone who is still fairly new to it all... by comparison and our local Michaels barely carries any Tims anymore... so Amazon is all I get... This is wonderful Love.... I will definitely be looking for part one, and I am taking notes... am writing down your ideas. I see part one, linked above. Well Done Love!! :))
I think under rated is the wrong term (unless folks are giving them a bad rating). The correct term is under used. I love the collage papers and I will rate the a ten. Thanks for showing ideas for using them.
What a great video series! I liked them so much. I just subscribed. I have almost every product you have mentioned as I do see a lot of value in them. However, I don’t reach for them as often as I should. That is mostly because I feel I am being torn in so many directions. I think I’ll have to pull them out again. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Juicy Christian Studios for the demo on all these Tim Holtz products. I do possess some of them. Just wanted to let you know that gel printing seems to be the craze for the moment. I see many UA-cam tutorial artists using stencils for their gel prints. So stencils are being used more than you think. Especially large stencils. Hope this helps.
Thank you sooooo much for these wonderful videos addressing the underrated TH products. I have everything in part 1 & 2 lol. Maybe someone else feels the same but I don’t always know “how” to use them. PLACEMENT is MY biggest struggle. Someone can throw stuff down and it looks amazing, I do it and (to me) it looks like a hot mess. The stencils; I struggle not using them as an entire piece. Tim’s addresses this all the time but I seem to mess up my first attempt by moving it somewhere else. All my struggles are user error 😅Tim’s products are amazing and I should be on an episode of pickers for how much I have 😂 Ty again for these! Love to see more on this topic and how to. Love, kindness and support ❤😊
Thank you for the informative video and the ideas of the various ways to use the products. I really love the envelope with the fall-ish colors and the gold; would you be able to teach us how you did that? It is the top envelope at the 24:54 mark/texture paste section. Your work is amazing and I would be so excited to learn that technique myself. Thank you!
Thank you Nathifa. I admire your work/makes on the TH website and videos so much; I'm so glad I found your video tutorials! I would love to know, where did you find your large envelope die?
Thank you thank you. Now I see where u got the collage paper you used on your Instagram for Valentines Day! I have the others but of course not that one! This video is great as usual. I did make a card using one of Tim’s wallpaper’s folded to meet in the middle vertically and tied with wrinkled dyed ribbon! Inspired from one of your videos !
So funny, maybe because I am in the Netherlands, but really all the products you mentioned, are really used here. Maybe except the paper from part one (because of availability and pricey). And the collage papers are not all that available, I would love a new one with the typography.
I need to try more mixed media techniques. I have every one of those items yet I’m not sure how to use them in my cards. I am mostly a card maker. Could you show cards with these? You’d envelopes are amazing.
Love your ideas on how to use our TH supplies. I’ve been giving myself a goal each year to use my supplies that need some attention. I’m just getting into my glazes and love them. Never thought to use them in the ways you suggested. Question: How do you store your glazes and your water color pencils?
I dont have any remnant rubs, but I do have heaps of 49 & Market rubs and i love them. TH's stencils are my favourite i think. I mostly make tags so they are perfect. I also have a few tags that are just too lovely to give away just like your envelope 😂❤
Again…TY TY TY 🤩 Loved these videos u made! I really liked that honey comb envelope (who am I kidding, I loved them all), but that envelope was pretty cool! I now have a couple Q’s regarding mailing any of those envelopes 🧐 Would u just mail like that or do u have some secrets? I do love the collage papers…probably one of my favorites along with the backdrops 🥰
I recently purchased some embossing glaze but haven’t used it yet. Yrs ago bought the tissue with birds but have yet to use it. I’m not fond of washi tape so have never purchased has tapes. The past yr I’ve mostly been using colorize dies to make 40 cards each holiday. I used my dentils quite a bit but not much in past year. I travel a LOT so have to take less n less stuff with me but I do craft almost every day.
some products may seem scary, but finding about more about them how to use them etc helps big time, then getting some and trying it if budget allows, even if just one thing
I love the collage paper and I don’t know that any day goes by without me using embossing glaze. I admit…I’ve never used remnant rubs, but you’ve turned me. I’ll try them with my next order.
Hi, love your demo's, i have the collage papers but never used. I also have the distress glitter whichbi still haven't used. If you could show that going forward that would b fab thanku.
Oh!😮 I didn't know you were a Tim Maker. Since your channel name isn't your real name, I had no idea that you had a connection to The Great One.❤😉👍🏻(I do adore that man🤗) So I took a quick stroll through his maker list and found the channel name you use here. I definitely get the collage papers and understand how to use it, but I’d rather have stamped with that similar imagery that I can reuse so I can make my own collage paper
Thank you for this! I use and have almost everything you showed, except for the pastes! I just can’t find them locally and need to jump on ordering them.
Question, on your envelopes with the texture pastes did you individually color each flower? Did you use distress sprays? I guess what I’m asking is how did you color those envelopes? This was a great informational for inspiration to use the products we might have. Thank you for the great ideas! I too love the tissue paper.
I didn't....i used Distress Mica Spray stains....I typically post creation videos on my IG and this one is on there...but it's from a while ago so you will have to scroll down...@juicychristians on IG.
I’m finding that the Floral collage paper is discontinued and out of stock, which is a bit of a bummer as it’s beautiful! I have the Halloween and the birds and I love the colored images contrasted with the black and white. The Halloween one is versatile bc it has some very interesting botanicals and architectural elements. Definitely useful in other seasons. Thanks for sharing all of these tips!
Thanks for the introduction of the collage paper. This product is brand new to me and something I need to put in my crafting arsenal. QUESTION: can you still mail envelopes covered with the collage paper. I thought the bulk of the envelope had to be a solid color?
Funny story about the Collage Paper - I ordered my first set a year ago for Collage Joy to use instead of the image transfer. Last spring was a hot mess so I didn’t finish the projects & I feel like I need to save ALL the collage paper! Silly! I did plan to use collage paper in my 2023 100 day project & of course I forgot! 😂
What do you use adhere the collage paper? Do you have a video showing how to make the envelope? With the embossing glazes is it not necessary to use an embossing powder tool for static?
I don’t think things are underrated. Mostly because I am on disability. Very little income. And a lot of stores don’t carry them anymore. I’m in Canada. I’m 8 hours away from Micheals store. And there is very few items in the isles. And so I can’t use a coupon to get something. And I don’t do online shopping. Sorry. I love his stuff. But can’t afford them. I always wanted his paper pads. But sadly they have been discontinued. But oh well. I couldn’t afford to buy one anyway
All of these items are available more cheaply from other firms & places so, for those of us who make ephemeral cards - knowing they'll be thrown out after an event - paying TH prices is wasteful. We don't always have unlimited budget & not all of us are "influencers" getting freebies to advertize new products, but personally I have - & use - a lot of the stencils & texture paste &, yes, I DO add glitter & colour to the pastes; as well as things like glossy accents.
You need to demonstrate how to use his products . Don’t just show the finish project, but show how you demonstrate working the piece. Otherwise the video is worthless
I can understand this...i have to stamp set for the rub-ons i showed, but I will still go for the rub-ons 98% of the time first....lol

You’re so welcome! Yes, they are beautiful! I think some get discontinued as he creates new ones.
Thanks for the introduction of the collage paper. This product is brand new to me and something I need to put in my crafting arsenal. QUESTION: can you still mail envelopes covered with the collage paper. I thought the bulk of the envelope had to be a solid color?
You can but you may need to put it in a cellophane sleeve first. My post office peeps get a little testy with me sometimes when I don't.
Tutorials on these items please? Pretty please😊
Gotcha!
Nice tutorial
More times than not, I don’t know what to do with them or how to use them. Thanks for sharing.
I am seeing that...so I am working on courses and videos for you all.
Does Tim Holtz tape stick better than wash tape or do you have to use some glue to keep it in place?
Funny story about the Collage Paper - I ordered my first set a year ago for Collage Joy to use instead of the image transfer. Last spring was a hot mess so I didn’t finish the projects & I feel like I need to save ALL the collage paper! Silly! I did plan to use collage paper in my 2023 100 day project & of course I forgot! 😂
I feel the need to save them as well cuz they're so pretty...but alas...I use them so I don't become an art supplies hoarder..
Thanks to your video I am going to remember to use them this spring! There’s so MUCH paper in each roll! ♥️♥️
Is texture paste like spackle for your walls? Does it dry to be the same texture?
What do you use adhere the collage paper?
Do you have a video showing how to make the envelope?
With the embossing glazes is it not necessary to use an embossing powder tool for static?
Working on a video to show ya. But just glue.
I like Tim Holz (and Mario lol) but his products are pricey and many have a very specific aesthetic.
May I ask where we can now get Tim Holtz products? I'm in the USA & it seems Hobby Lobby is discontinuing them all.
I mostly get the online. Simon Says Stamp usually has a great selection. Joann’s has some as well.
@@juicychristians thank you 😊
I've been hesitant to use washi tapes for fear they will come undone!
I use glue on mine sometimes. It tends to help.
I love TH stuff but its soooo expensive. I have tons of different stuff. I watch a ton of vid where people use stencils and I use them alot.
Canada here too. It sucks michaels quit carrying most of his stuff (well, ranger but not his anymore).
How are you adhering the collage paper to the envelopes?
Collage medium
talking hands just drive me CRA cra
Also I think some of us don’t know how to use the underrated items.
This is actually good to know. I always assume that you all know how to use these! 🤔
Collage paper- i would never want to use them because theyre too pretty. I would also be worried they will be discontinued
I can understand this. I am in constant fear of his products being discontinued. I feel ya.
Are you using sign language with your hands?
No. Now I have to see what I was doing…lol
First time watching. Enjoyed the info, but too much hand talking and endless underrated were way much and disturbing. Thank you though
My channel may not be for you.
Did you make your envelopes from a sizzix?
All of these items are available more cheaply from other firms & places so, for those of us who make ephemeral cards - knowing they'll be thrown out after an event - paying TH prices is wasteful. We don't always have unlimited budget & not all of us are "influencers" getting freebies to advertize new products, but personally I have - & use - a lot of the stencils & texture paste &, yes, I DO add glitter & colour to the pastes; as well as things like glossy accents.
Why are you throwing your art out???
You need to demonstrate how to use his products . Don’t just show the finish project, but show how you demonstrate working the piece. Otherwise the video is worthless
Don't be a bully. You're better than that.
