It was all lining up to be the perfect Megavalanche for me. Exiting the glacier in 3rd position behind Orbea team mate Damien Oton before disaster struck 😔 - Спорт
No way man, so disheartening to see that after the amazing start. Watching Théo's race, his pace was blistering and he still couldn't catch up to Oton, then he got a flat himself on the standard bike race. Such an incredibly treacherous course.
The snow looks absolutely brutal this year. That 2K run looked incredibly painful
Only a recent fan of mass start races. Liked your POV videos. They are the best. Saw the course preview and felt how enthusiastic you were about the race so was sad to see the actual race video being 13mins. I knew something must have gone bad. Sorry bro' but awesome of you to encourage the others along. Thats why I like your videos. Looking forward to seeing your video of Megavalance 2024. Good Luck!!

Same this year when my team mate Damien Oton was winning and got a flat on the very last part. Racing sucks sometimes mate!
Gutted for you man, but love the enthusiasm and encouragement given to others passing you this is why MTB is a great sport. Looking forward to seeing more of your races and wins in the future as there will be many more wins, this was a pain in the ass blip.

We had a puncture on the exact same spot during the race... I had seen one other Orbea Wild in Galactic rainbow during the mega, turns out it's yours! 😅

That's a crazy sport
we used to do drills on fixing flats, i could have a new tube in and have the wheel back on the bike in about 90 seconds with c02 cartridges. On Downieville or other time trials i just tried fix-a-flat if it worked, it worked, if your minuteman catches you the race is over
Good idea and work mate. I would have tried to fix it but once the mech, chain and spokes went, it was game over on this occasion 😥

Question for anyone familiar with the rules... other than the pink flags, what requirements are there for sticking to "the road"? Could you, for instance, go further abroad to seek rocky ground in those extended soft snow sections?
You can go anywhere unless it's got tape cutting off an area or line mate
