Remember in the early days of mirrorless cameras when we had optional EVFs that attached to the hotshoe? I feel like Sony needs to revive that concept for this camera as well as the FX3 and FX30. I bet more than a few people would buy that!
I can’t lie, watching you go from talking head to vlog mode did make chuckle, but it’s the only way you could have shown it for what it’s used for. Great video as ever, really informative and great to see the many features and accessories for it! May be a recommendation for some of my student videographers!
ProAV gave me some of the most ignorant and lazy support ever when I wanted to sell my old gear and buy a Canon C400 with quite a kit. Emailed CVP who answered the same day and fixed everything I needed. You suck!
the biggest let down is the lack of evf, although one may hope that Sony makes a clip-on one in the future, about crop factors, the a6700 has a 1.05 crop factor for both 4k 24/30 and 4k 60 while this one has no crop in 4k 24/30 and 1.1 in 4k 60, is this correct?
Great, but I much prefer the colors of the camera that was used to shoot this review. (The one sitting on the Sachtler Flowtech sticks.) A Canon C70? 😅
This definitely has a video focus as a product. But the photo side is very capable. Electronic shutter is the same as it is in any other camera. Will be fine in most situations, but in some artificial light you will run into banding problems with some shutter speeds.
I agree with calling these "creator cameras." My wife owns a dance studio, I purchased a ZV-E1 for her and her employees to make social media content. It's perfect for that.

Sony didn't create this with a photo emphasis. Look elsewhere. This video is exceptional
