Gold top is the only gloves I have 3 pairs of. Love the quaility but downsides are they never have discounts and they give a slight run around when it comes to if styles will ever be restocked. Old fashioned in practice which is not great in some instances. That said i still support them made a glove review on my own channel.
They’re great. I was being ordained a priest and wanted to treat myself to a new biker jacket. Wanted a Goldtop cafe racer jacket in a medium however they were sold out. Two days later they rang me and said they’d found the prototype and sold me that in time for my ordination. It’s now my go to clergy jacket. Great gear. Nice guys

Hey Freddie dont ever stop doing what you do so well. Ive recently unsubscribed from many motorcycle youtube channels because the content creators have go carried away with their own egos and think thst they have become some sort of celebrity. Thankyou for keeping it real we really do appreciate the work you put in👍
I don’t understand why there’s such a sentiment towards encouraging the next generation. A lot of videos ive seen there’s always a comment to this effect Is motorcycling culture suffering an existential threat or something?
I love my Goldtop gloves, interesting to see the road king and the Dyna. I’ve been riding for 24 years and Harley’s were always the bikes that initially ignited that spark. I always chose something else based on stupid predjudices from other people. Fast forward to this year and I’ve decided to get myself one. I went for a Dyna and I can say without flinching that it’s the best bike I’ve ever ever had. I so wish I had done it many years ago. So happy am I with it that I’m seriously contemplating selling my triumph and my royal Enfield and just having a Harley. Very likely a road king! Excellent video as always.
It's look like witnessing motorcyle history. And Freddie i love your presentation man. And i love how to say ''Beautiful..'' Keep doing what you do please. Thanks from Turkey!
My first pair of bike boots were sheepskin lined Goldtops, bought from MCA in Leicester in 1990! I remember they were fantastic quality, will definitely check out their new stuff - thanks for sharing
Enjoyable episode. I treated myself to a brand new leather jacket a couple of years ago and went for a Goldtop Flat Tracker. It's the best motorcycle jacket I've ever had, end of. There was a minor error with the lining in one arm which was rectified without issue. I also have a pair of Bobber gloves. I highly rate the guys and their products. If I was nit-picking it'd be that a removable lining would be the absolute icing but as I said, just a very minor point indeed.
Many great nights spent in the Fox at Finchingfield back in the sixties when it was the favourite pub for the "Yanks" at Wethersfield Airbase. Great to see the village again.
I've had a pair of Goldtop gloves for 3 seasons now. Great quality, but pricey. I knew they were an older brand, but not the recent history. Thanks telling their story.
@@FreddieDobbs Thanks Freddie. I really enjoyed this video. I think the first year of the H-D Knucklehead was 1936. Not sure if you are familiar with or watch Wheels Through Time channel; which is an American motorcycle museum, located in Maggie Valley North Carolina. They specialize mostly in antique American motorcycles, especially in Harley-Davidsons. They restore an antique motorcycle almost every year, then put it up for auction. This year they're auctioning a 36 H-D Knucklehead.
Bloody hell, I had no idea they were still going. I'm old enough to have owned a pair of Goldtop boots a very long time ago and they were always considered to be 'good stuff' back then. What goes around comes around, eh?
I recommend riding the CCM. Picked up one, the flat tracker, 6 weeks ago. Everytime I swing my leg over it puts a smile on my face. A talking piece too! Seems to strike up a conversation everywhere I go
Thank you for this video, Freddie. This was on my list of places to visit in November when i visit from the US. The Bike Shed and Urban Rider are also on the list.
When your Bonneville was unveiled in Tamworth there was actually a Jubilee Bonneville parked outside the shop, although a U.S version with high bars and a smaller tank 🇬🇧
Thanks for this. My very first gloves when I started biking in 1979 were Goldtops, so it's great to see them still going and with the same focus on quality. I checked out their website and now have a pair of Predators on my Christmas list. Be aware that not all of the gloves listed are CE approved so bear that in mind if you're planning a French trip where they are a legal requirement (with a €68 fine for failure to comply).
Very enjoyable to see Goldtop are still around and your village trip... but Freddie, you were parked next to a stunning Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk1 and you ignored it like it wasn't there :)
The T140 Bonnie up on the shelf inside the shop looked like it was a Limited addition Silver jubilee launched in 1977 2400 where made in total for the U.S and UK markets so quite a “rare” bike
Great video, it brings back so many memories of a miss spent youth - back in the mid 1960's my first leather jacket, flying boots and gloves were all made by Goldtop. The jacket was a centre zip type and very cold in the winters so soon changed for a Lewis Leathers double breasted style. Gloves worn out after lots of use, the jacket 'shrunk' after some time, the boots are still with me but alas my feet have swollen with age 😢 Oh to be 19 again, still got my bike from that time.
Another superb video Freddie you always come up with new videos which are totally different to all your others. That village visit was stunning and along with your Goldtops shop that really completed your usual high standard filming.I really enjoy your trips and from an ex biker old guy I just love sitting in my garage watching what I used to do.Brilliant Freddie and please keep them coming.
Another great video F&M. Goldtop looks great and that village looks stunning, quintessential England ❤ Congratulations on 150k, going from strength to strength.
Love it! Looks like a brilliant day, and good to see so many people there! I was there literally the day before. Reluctant to say this in case they raise the prices but I have the 617 jacket and it's phenomenal value, also one of the few bike jackets you can easily wear 'off the bike' as well as on.
They tried to revive the Indian Brand several times. One time they tried by putting S&S Evo Motors in custom frames. They are truly special and the Motor is absolutely top notch.
