What’s a ‘slant’ razor? Does that mean that the razor blade itself is actually bent when it’s seated in the housing?
Btw- it’s taken me a few shaves to get my LEAF razors dialed in … got the best shave of my life (66yo) with my Thorn! 👍🏼
yes. The razor blade is actually twisted and clamp down to the base plate.

Hrrrmmmm! 🤔 Well, if my memory is correct, you’re a fan of the Nacet & the Astra SP - how does the Astor compare to them? By the way, I am definitely preferring the 6s to the 6c. The heavier weight of the 6s allows me to just let the razor glide - I don’t have to think (as much) about the amount of pressure I’m applying if that makes sense.
I don't like the glue they put on other double edge, razor blades.

I see you've been trying different blades for a few shaves! I've been testing blades for so, so, so long, I swear. I am finally narrowing them down and have a "Top 6" so far on my end, but I'm doing a final battle between the Gillette Perma-Sharp and the Astra Superior Stainless (Blue)...and I might do another series between the Astra and the Personna Comfort Coat, if I feel the Astra Blue gives me as good of a shave. I just finished a series of 3-round shave battles with the AccuForge vs. BIC Astor (AccuForge won) and the Comfort Coat vs. Gillette Minora Stainless (Comfort Coat won), so we're getting down to the wire with this last round. Anyways, another great shave in the books!

And how does a slant angled certain way work on both sides of your face? Like I said I'm not knocking it I just don't understand it. Thanks for everything Dave!
Great question, if you look at the base plate, it has cuts on both sides that are offset to create a twist to the double edge Razor blade. This twist creates an angle on your face when you shave normally. Some people suggest that it is good to use a slant if you have sensitive skin.

The only reason why I am a big fan is you really got nail beard hairs like me. One thing I can say, if that's the same handle as their other aluminum mild razor, it has excellent grip.
That's a great point. The handle is very large and easy to grip. I need to bring that up in my neck shave using any Timeless Razor.

You just loaded as normal. The razor is designed to lock in place and twist the blade.
