Hello! I found this video very informative. I will say that @12:12 you forgot to mention that “offset” mode only adds the v/oct2 input to the second oscillator (which is what differentiates it from “added” mode)
Very nice review, thanks a lot! :) I've seen this module at Superbooth and was quite fascinated, maybe getting one at some time... I assume, the waves are digitally created - how do you like the sound quality?
The sound quality is superb. Really crunchy and clear. I also have Shapeshifter and Orgone Accumulator and its more towards Shapeshifter although a bit cleaner I would say, but in a good way. I think its one of the best solution as a desert island digital osc, because its has soooo many algos and at the same time its dead easy to operate. Not to mention it takes little space and also has tons on different on LFO side, so its not just a standard LFO like on many other oscillators. So very flexible. For that price its a nobrainer.
that's exactly what I thought! But now I have to decide - Ericas Black Wavetable VCO (which I also like) or this one, hmm, too many choices, damn... ;)
I have not dealt with Erica BW but from the demos it sure sound tasty as hell ;-) It all depends on what You need most - if You have plenty of sources and colours I say get Erica to expand on it. On the other side If You dont have to many, TW will be more flexible. From the demos I have seen Erica sound very characterful and distinct. Or best - get both ;-)
hehe, I am tempted... xD just started my rack in January, so I've basically got just a starter setup similar to that basic Doepfer one-row system or so in a 3-row case (plus some bits and pieces here and there, including diy stuff), ie there is still lots of missing bits to get a really usable system. ;) But that TW really looks good, I mean, 2 OSC and a quantizer combined in one module, thats just crazy (and a quantizer is on my list anyways)
yep - I forgot about the quantizer. Really handy... And the build quality is exceptional - the main encoder is stepped and it feels like on high end preamps. And thats not always a case in Eurorack land...
I am loving it. Some really nice additions to standard logic functions, like the flip-flop for example. I will be doing a review within next few weeks, so stay tuned!
this channel really growing on me!!!
Love this Channel...freaky English accent, deep content...brilliant !

thank you! love my twin waves. learned a bunch from this video.
got one after i saw it at superbooth. really nice module. great value for the price.
Looks like a great module.
From what I understand you can turn quantization off, right?
Thanks for the video.
Yep - You can turn it off of set it to any scale - independently for each of the two sections.
Yes. Each channel has its own quantizer that can be set independently

Nice video! How do you like their logica gater?

Sounds really nice... Nobelprize winning blue leds on synthmodules are making me crazy though. Maskingtape to the rescue
Nothing worse than excessively bright LED's on modules. :-( Look how nicely controlled the Vermona LEDs are. I can't live with bright LED's.
Looks pretty good. That clicky dial is a bit yuck though. I don't mind indented pots, but this one seems cheap and way too clicky for my liking.
