I was in a crash about a month ago. I was coming through a curve on my way home only 4 miles away from home when a deer darted out in front of me mid curve. Soon as I seen it I hit it. Shattered pelvis, multiple fractures in both legs, cracked lower spine, fractured right shoulder, broke 3 metatarsals in my left foot. I had all of my gear on. I slid so far my jacket must have slid up and I got a bunch of road rash on my back. I have to learn to walk again. My 2021 R1 is totaled and I’m gonna be out of work for months. Rough times. Take it easy and be safe

My new 2024 ZX-10R was wrecked because of some a$$whole hit me. Bike was totaled and I also ended up with 6 broken ribs on my left side, broken left clavicle, and 2 broken bones on my spine. Not to mention the helicopter ems folks shredded all my Alpinestars gear! My nice Arai helmet was gorged from the back and all the way across me face (helmet saved my life and all gear saved my skin from getting ripped off)
Glad your wreck wasn’t as bad! And don’t wait to long before getting back to riding. The nervousness will be worse if you wait to long.

I got rear ended on my brand new 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 when I had only 500 miles. People are on their phones. Get well soon my friend. I was sore for about six weeks from sprained muscle and tendons in neck , back, arms, legs, wrists, ankles. Nothing broken but I just got racked. My bike landed on me so it survived with a few scratches. My rear license plate holder was all bent as well and absorbed most of the force. Get well soon my brother. If the insurance pays out just buy a new one.

The bike is definitely repairable. You should reach out to some UA-camrs that do motorcycle rebuild videos and they can document the process for UA-cam and give you a better deal on fixing it than any repair shop could. That way both channels get content and that should cover the cost of parts and labor over time.

Well, FastLaneD needs to want to repair it first. There are other people who do wrenching videos and I don't know if that fits his style; his crowd loves the big smile, awesome D energy and love of bike perfection. This whole ordeal is a side of bikes that obviously is a bummer and quite the opposite of D's thing.
I think the sooner he leaves this behind and gets back on a new bike the better.

@@Ryuga117 I didn't watch that one. And even in this clip, D was like "I don't know the name of these parts". That's like as plain a confession about where his focus and strengths are as simply saying "I'll leave the wrenching to the pros", which is just fine. His channel is great for other reasons.

I've had two accidents, one totalled when a driver left turned into me. The front end was trashed and frame damaged from moving it after. I had uninsured motorist coverage, thank God.
The other was a repair for $12k when a driver rear ended me at a pedestrian crosswalk. Driver had same insurance, so not a lot of compensation. Still have the bike, but I don't ride often. Wish they totalled it.
I wish you all the best on your physical and mental recovery. Take it slow, and be easy on yourself. GODSPEED❤
If they fix your bike, be sure to check it VERY closely afterwards, it was new, so nitpick even the smallest thing. Have a good friend do a shakedown ride.

Two weeks ago, I had an accident on my S1000RR. I also have a cut and an injured leg, but fortunately, nothing is broken, and I only got slightly banged up. I was riding on the highway in the rain at 70 km/h when suddenly a car hit me from behind, traveling at around 150 km/h. The force of the impact luckily threw me upwards, which prevented me from hitting the crash barriers, which most likely saved my life. Take care of yourselves! Greetings from Poland!

I crashed a month ago! Still healing from the surgery I received for tearing my tricep tendon, fractured elbow, and golf ball size hole in my forearm. Received all that on my right arm, and road rash on other places throughout my body, Lucky crashed down in the grass median, but hit hard and barrel rolled a decent way away from where I laid the bike down. I learned a very valuable lesson that night, and what lead up to it could've been all prevented. Paid the price for being stupid. Laying alone in your room thinking about everything after it happens isn't fun.

As for the bike, I’d say it’s done. Unfortunately. It could probably Frankensteined into some sort of nasty naked or something for very little, but as far as returning it to its former state… it’s done. Just to many little things that will nickel and dime it all the way up past its value

I'm sure whoever buys it from the insurance auction will be happy to build it into a track bike, but that's at least 200% totaled and wouldn't be back on the road until this time next year, after you had spent more than double the purchase price in parts and labor. As a track bike, people don't care about scuffs on frames and swingarms. Insurance companies repair bikes to 100%, so the scratched frame and swingarm would be replaced with new parts, not to mention everything else with so much as a scuff.
I'm glad you're in pretty good shape considering how bad a crash like this could have been, keep your head up and looking to the future.

Continue to heal up “D” you will be back sooner than later. As far as the accident video goes in my opinion. I wouldn’t post it. Even after everything settles. I am sure whatever your attorney advises will be the best thing for you. No sense In reliving that again. Especially with that accident being so fresh in your mind. GOD bless man. We will all be ready for you when you are ready to ride again!!!

Icing reduces discomfort and redness. You want to elevate your foot, and have someone try to massage the fluid out of it (if its not broken which doesnt look like it is since youre walking, and yes it will hurt). Warm compress will help promote blood flow to the area. Cold restricts blood flow making healing slower. I am glad youre at least doing well and are able to walk.

Glad to see you are ok and I agree dont chance it. Get as much as you can for whatever is salvageable and start new on a different platform. Kind of sucks that i wont get to see you build it up how you intended to, but next build is probably going to be so much better ! Keep working hard man.

Joey is a stand up guy he's a good friend and great guy, FLG family 4life. True fans don't care about waiting to see the crash video. They only care about you and your well-being. Hope the bikes are salvageable. I've been waiting along time for you to add a naked bike to the fleet and that bike was sick and sounded nasty

I just read on another post of yours regarding tips and safety and such. For instance I have a quick one for you to add to that list. A guy cannot trust all factory parts automatically on a bike when bought even new because I had a wheel bearing go out after 4,000 miles believe it or not and after looking at the bearing you would not believe the play in that bearing and the only reason I noticed because of experience as you mentioned in your other video. Now I know for a fact that a beginner rider would not have noticed what I noticed and that was and is a catastrophic failure just waiting to happen if that bearing goes out. Thanks for your videos and I hope you heal up and are out there riding again soon.

That rear light will be expensive, in uk that would be classed as a category N, none structural repairable ,insurance loss, if you informed your insurance of modifications ,then your good for a payout once the liability is determined as the other party. If so take the money but offer to buy back the bike for a very low amount , then do a rebiuld series's with costs ect then do a give away $5 ticket or min merch purchase if you ha e merchfor sale. Speedy recovery 🙏
